Newton immediately became excited. Although he didn't think this would have much effect on Joan, as long as there was even a glimmer of hope, he would never give up.

Following that, our Wolf Island came under attack from Acnologia. We activated our self-defense measures, and then it disappeared. I am currently searching for the whereabouts of Wolf Island. Everyone fell silent, each person processing the news Newton had brought. Although it sounded unbelievable, no one doubted his words. Even if it seemed outrageous, Newton would not make such an extreme joke.

Everyone shook their heads. In terms of presence and prestige, Newton surpassed Laxus. The members had privately discussed who would be most suitable to become the next President, and among the candidates, several S-Class Mages were undoubtedly the most popular choices.

Makao looked at Newton. Now that Newton had taken the position of President, the pressing issue was the future development of Fairy Tail.
"Well, actually, for us, there isn't much difference from before. Everyone should continue taking on missions. However, we must not give up now. We are all members of Fairy Tail, and while there may be trouble from outsiders, please rest assured that as long as I am here, I will never let Fairy Tail decline!"
Newton didn't seek the title of President to change Fairy Tail's management policies; he wanted the authority that came with it. Otherwise, as an ordinary member, if someone pursued an issue, it could become quite troublesome. With the title of President, Newton could confidently manage the Guild and confront others as a President should. Thus, Fairy Tail would continue to develop as it always had, and Newton wouldn't always be present in the Guild.
