“Idiot, did we do something wrong yesterday? It seems like we are quite unnecessary now.”
Newton and Idiot were wandering outside, leaving the couple inside to enjoy their time together.
“Hmm, the only unnecessary one here is Sir Newton. I’m just here to guide you and prevent you from getting lost,” Idiot replied, making Newton feel a bit hurt.
“Well, never mind, Idiot. Can you find someone from Fairy Tail? Take me there to have a look.”
Newton decided not to argue with an artificial intelligence; after all, he was human, and he felt quite good about that.
“Yes, Mr. Newton.”
Idiot led Newton back to the house but didn’t disturb Jabir and Erza. Instead, they both sat in the Vehicle in the garage.
Idiot drove out of the garage, and soon they were outside the city. The surroundings quickly became desolate, but Idiot didn’t stop; he kept driving.
After driving for half an hour, a building finally appeared before Newton’s eyes.
“Is this Fairy Tail?”
Newton looked curiously at the building. It wasn’t very large and seemed to be surrounded by plants or something similar, giving it a rather magical appearance.
“That’s right. Let’s get out of the car.”
Idiot led Newton down.
"Ah, Mr. Jabir, you're back again!"
It was clear that Jabir was quite popular here. As Newton pushed the door open, everyone began greeting him.
"I'm not Jabir; I'm Jabir from Aslant. Just call me Newton."
Newton looked at the crowd before him: the lady-like Kana, the ever-gentle Miraj, the heavily dressed Gray who seemed unbothered by the heat, and Zhubian, who was extremely indifferent towards Gray. It was indeed very different from his own place.
Newton instinctively started taking pictures of everyone.
"Wait? You are also from Aslant?"
Miraj approached him, and her question surprised Newton a bit.
"You've met someone from Aslant before?"
Newton was curious. He had been saved because of Jabir, but Jabir hadn't rescued anyone else, had he? Although it was possible that it was that fellow Mister Gang who had done something.
"Yes, it was Natsu and me."
A tall beauty stepped forward, and her appearance bore a striking resemblance to Wendy.
"Wendy?"
Newton was even more astonished, for the Wendy from his world was merely a Loli, while here, Wendy appeared quite mature. It was understandable that people with the same name could have different personalities in different worlds, but Newton never expected such a significant difference in their physical appearances.
"Hmph, it's not me! Are you all mistreating the other version of me over there? Why is she so thin as President?"
"No, no, no! I think that's actually a normal body type for a Loli. Besides, you should have looked like that too, right?"
The people around him nodded without hesitation, while Wendy angrily kicked at them. Her demeanor was nothing like the gentle and timid Wendy he knew.
"Sorry, it's a bit noisy here, isn't it?"
Miraj remained as gentle as ever; her personality seemed unchanged. Newton wasn't surprised by this; after all, change didn't always occur.
"No, I actually find it quite familiar. Our Guild is like this too—noisy and chaotic—but that's what a Guild is; that's what family is."
Newton smiled warmly.
"By the way, where did Natsu and Wendy go after arriving here?"
"Well, Lucy took them to the capital. It seems they're going to rescue their companion."
There was a hint of worry in Miraj's eyes. After all, the capital could be hellish for a Magic Guild, and she knew that Aslant's people couldn't use magic here. This meant that Natsu and Wendy's combat abilities were quite limited; Lucy would primarily be the one fighting, but the Kingdom Army would not be easy to deal with.
"That's just their nature."
Newton nodded with a smile. It seemed he would need to return soon to check on things because he knew he couldn't use magic here. He had learned this during his casual chat with Jabir; special potions were required to use magic successfully in this place.
"You'd better go check on them soon. You look a lot like Mr. Jabir, so even if they get caught, you might still be able to save them."
Miraj clearly had little faith in them. In this world, those who weren't accustomed to its way of fighting couldn't survive.
"It's fine; they're members of Fairy Tail, after all."
Newton was full of confidence. If Wendy was still weak, then Natsu was anything but ordinary—he was a guy with limitless potential.
"You all... really have a lot of confidence."
Miraj forced a smile. In this world, the members of the Magic Guild had become skittish due to the Kingdom Army's pursuit; they had long lost their confidence and could only run when faced with the Kingdom Army.
"Sir, I think it would be better for us to leave first."
At that moment, Idiot walked over.
"Hmm? What's going on?"
Newton looked puzzled as Idiot projected a screen showing flames, whirlwinds, and a Celestial Spirit.
"It's Lucy!"
Miraj exclaimed sharply.
"Two of them!"
Indeed, two Lucys appeared on the screen, one holding a Magical Item while the other summoned a spirit. Natsu and Wendy clearly had not figured out how to use their Magical Items yet; after releasing a powerful attack in an instant, both of them were completely exhausted.
Newton smirked slightly. It was no surprise that the hot-headed Natsu and the adorable Wendy were struggling, especially since neither of the Lucys seemed reliable at the moment.
"Sorry, everyone. It looks like I need to step out for a bit. I have to go find these two idiots."
Newton felt he might need some antacids soon, but he was somewhat relieved to have a steadfast ally by his side.
After bidding farewell, Newton and the Idiot rushed toward the chaotic scene.
"Idiot, can you contact Jabir?"
"Mr. Jabir has already gone over with Erza. This message is from Mr. Jabir himself," the Idiot replied.
The Idiot's words eased Newton's mind a bit; since Jabir had informed him, it meant that they were already on their way, alleviating his worries about Natsu and Wendy facing dire consequences.
Before long, Newton and the Idiot arrived at the scene.
