“Buzz!”
Just as the group was deep in conversation, a beam of light shot up.
“Nirvana has been activated!”
Miraj immediately stood up.
“Alright, it seems we don’t have time to reminisce here.”
Newton quickly put on his mask.
“Mira, attack me!”
Miraj then punched Newton, sending him flying.
“Laxus, let’s go!”
Newton propelled himself toward the distant beam of light, while Laxus donned his mask and followed closely behind.
“Okay, we should head out too.”
Miraj took Wendy with her, heading toward Nirvana.
“Wait! Wendy is already very weak! It’s too dangerous over there; she can’t go!”
“Sharlulu, I’m fine! Everyone else is fighting; I can’t just stay behind!”
Wendy felt a deep sense of guilt. If it weren’t for her words, Gerard wouldn’t have come back to life, and Nirvana wouldn’t have reappeared. Therefore, Wendy believed she had to go.
“Erza… who is that?”
Gerard looked on with sorrow, fear etched on his face as he watched Erza approach him.
“Erza is your enemy, Gerard. You were almost able to kill her.”
Kebula approached, with Brian by his side.
“Six Demon Generals!”
Erza immediately became alert, exposing her back defenselessly to Gerard.
“Hmph, really, girl.”
Kebula rushed forward but was pulled back instantly.
“If your head isn’t clear, don’t just charge in recklessly.”
However, Kebula, suspended in mid-air, was caught by Newton.
“Ugly?”
Brian paused for a moment. If it were just him, Erza, and Gerard, he could control the situation. But with an additional ugly force involved, things became troublesome.
“Ugly, help me seize Nirvana. I can share Nirvana with you.”
Brian thought it would be better to win the other party over first.
“Are you stupid?”
Newton mocked.
“As long as I take care of all of you and you end up killing each other off, Nirvana will still be mine. Why would I need to share it with anyone? Besides, if we eliminate the Six Demon Generals, with a bit of luck, we might even be able to replace them. Why should I help you?”
“You.”
Brian realized that his greatest fear had come true. This so-called ugly one had no intention of cooperating with him; from the very beginning, their only thoughts were how to eliminate him and even replace him. This was not impossible; in the Dark Guild, the strong always survived while the weak perished. Killing to ascend was far too common.
"It’s impossible. Although I’ve lost my memory, I can still vaguely sense that this Nirvana is a rather dangerous enlightenment magic. So, while I’m unsealing Nirvana, I’ve also placed a destructive magic circle on top of it. Soon, Nirvana will be destroyed."
Gerard's words shocked everyone, but Brian merely laughed.
"Gerard, do you know why my code name is Brian (brain)? It’s because I once spent some time in the Magic Development Bureau, and this magic circle is something I taught you."
Brian stepped behind Gerard and with a mere flick of his staff, he destroyed the magic circle.
"Now, Nirvana is mine."
Brian envisioned himself unifying the world for generations to come.
Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced through his lower back. He turned around and struck out, sending a figure flying. However, a crimson silhouette appeared before him and slashed down with a sword.
Brian used magic to block again while counterattacking, but a shooting star appeared out of nowhere in front of him. A hand grabbed Brian's staff, and terrifying magical power surged toward him.
With three people working together, Brian was instantly suppressed.
"Ugh..."
Gerard was strong, Erza was also formidable, and while the ugly one seemed slightly weaker in Brian's eyes, their teamwork was terrifyingly effective; they managed to suppress him in an instant. Brian wanted Kebula to help him, but before he could finish his thought, Newton appeared. A blade sliced toward Brian's neck, forcing him to retaliate.
However, after Newton struck once, he immediately fell back as Erza took over the attack. When Erza was hit, Gerard helped defend her and then launched a powerful counterattack. The three worked together seamlessly like a storm, completely overwhelming Brian.
Meanwhile, Kebula wanted to assist but Laxus was not someone to be trifled with. The poisonous mist was swiftly shattered by Laxus's thunderous strike. Even if one could hear Laxus's thoughts, it would be useless if their body couldn't keep up.
Even Gerard didn’t understand why he coordinated so well with these two, but he knew that he absolutely could not allow Nirvana to be activated.
"Damn it! Activate for me! Nirvana!"
After casting the final magic circle, Brian completely lost consciousness. At that moment, Nirvana wobbled and stood up.
Nirvana resembled a massive mobile fortress, with several tentacles slowly crawling across the ground.
"Wow, I didn't know it could be used like this."
Newton was somewhat surprised and began to pray for Natsu, as this thing could indeed be considered a Vehicle.
"Do you still want Nirvana?"
Gerard looked at Newton warily.
"Don't be nervous, don't be nervous. I can't beat you."
Newton wasn't joking; luck had played a significant role in his previous victory over Gerard, and there was no need to fight again.
"Buzz!"
The wall suddenly twisted and crashed toward the three of them.
"Dark Night?"
Upon seeing the magic, Newton immediately recognized who it was. Sure enough, Dark Night slowly walked in.
"Your father was defeated by you all; he really is useless."
Dark Night didn't even bother to glance at the unconscious Brian on the ground.
"But I'm not like that useless father of mine."
“Gerard, this guy's magic is distortion, but…”
Erza's armor began to morph before she could finish her sentence, prompting her to quickly change it into fabric.
“Hmph, you really went through a lot of trouble for something so ugly.”
“There was no choice; the price they offered was quite reasonable.”
Newton shrugged, while Laxus had already taken care of the half-dead Kebula and approached Newton.
“What’s going on? Did the Regular Guild and Dark Guild team up?”
“Of course not.”
Newton immediately pulled Laxus aside, his gaze darting around as if lost in thought.
“I’ll settle the score with you after dealing with these guys!”
The Dark Night charged towards Erza and Gerard.
