"Ugh."
Kebula held his head, feeling an overwhelming sense of pain.
"This is what a hangover feels like," Newton remarked, grimacing. He couldn't understand why Kebula had come to drink when he clearly couldn't handle it. That night, Laxus had fought hard, and afterward, Kebula had been completely wasted. But time was of the essence at Nirvana; if their side arrived first, they could set up an ambush. If they were late, they would be the ones ambushed.
Kebula could only drag himself to the location of Nirvana while nursing his hangover. Even upon arrival, his head throbbed painfully. Moreover, due to Klein's delay, they had arrived later than planned. Standing on a rock, he gazed at the dense jungle where the Azure Wind Antelope's magical vessel stood out prominently.
"You might as well stay with us," Newton suggested, feeling a bit sorry for Kebula. If he went in like this, he would likely get killed by the opposing side.
"No way. Even with a headache, I can still take them down," Kebula replied defiantly. His words were threatening, but they overlooked his weak tone and the way he kept clutching his head in agony.
"Are you sure? We could send the musician instead," Newton said, glancing at Brian. However, he doubted Brian would agree; after all, both he and Laxus were outsiders, and the opposing side wouldn't trust them too easily.
As Newton suspected, the other side didn't even consider letting him help.
"No need. Even with just the six of us, it's enough. Angel, let your Celestial Spirit go ahead and scout."
Angel's Celestial Spirit could mimic a person perfectly, making it ideal for gathering information.
However, they still needed to check who was absent; otherwise, walking in to find someone who looked exactly like him would be quite awkward.
A few people quickly made their way over. Although the magic boat had defensive spells, for Brian, aside from his identity as one of the Six Demons, he had previously been a researcher at the Magic Research Institute. After all, scientists often have the potential to become villains.
The defensive magic of the boat seemed nonexistent to Brian, and in reality, it wasn't very strong either. Since there was no one inside, the defensive magic was merely activated and running passively.
"Nobody's here?"
Brian was somewhat surprised, while Newton beside him reminded him.
"There's another building in the forest. Could they be gathering there?"
Newton's reminder prompted everyone to rush out. It felt a bit awkward, but Newton wisely refrained from adding any salt to the situation.
"Is this the place?"
Sure enough, they sensed a magical fluctuation, but there were no defensive magic formations outside. It seemed those people were merely using this as a temporary base.
"Alright, our main objectives are the Sky Mage, that girl from Cat Transformation Inn, and Jura, the Serpent Empress's Scale. Capture the former and kill the latter. As long as we succeed, our plan will already be halfway accomplished."
Brian outlined their strategic targets. Newton felt a bit bored since it didn't really concern him; he wandered around the building casually. Just then, a Square Face appeared right in front of him.
Have you ever seen a ghost? I believe not many have. Some people claim that upon seeing a ghost, they freeze in fear and collapse to the ground. Let's make an assumption: when you see a ghost approaching from afar, you might run away or be so scared that you fall down. Due to the body's protective mechanisms, you might even faint. But there's another possibility—you might just punch it right in the face. And that was exactly what Newton chose to do.
With a loud thud against the ground, cracks spread out beneath him.
Brian and the others hurried over and found Newton looking helpless while holding someone up by their collar.
"Sorry, I acted impulsively."
"One Night?"
The iconic square face from One Night was unforgettable; once seen, it was etched in memory.
"Perfect, Angel. Let's have your Gemini take on this guy's appearance and sneak in."
It was truly a stroke of luck, and Brian immediately devised a plan to infiltrate.
"Wait, I have a suggestion."
Newton suddenly interrupted.
"Does the other side really not know about Angel's abilities? If they do, it could become quite troublesome. What if they establish a secret signal or something? So I think we should prepare for both scenarios. Angel, can your Celestial Spirit transform into two people?"
Meanwhile, on the side of the Alliance Army.
"Did you hear something just now?"
Although their hearing wasn't as sharp as Kebula's, these Non-Human Color beings were still quite formidable. The loud noise from outside had certainly caught everyone's attention.
"Go investigate, but remember, don't expose our secret signal."
The leaders split up. Since Wendy was alone, Miraj followed her instead of joining the rest of Fairy Tail.
"Over here!"
The physical prowess of a Dragon Slayer Mage was unmatched. Natsu and Wendy were the fastest to arrive at the scene of the attack during One Night, essentially representing both Wendy and Fairy Tail.
Upon meeting, they quietly exchanged signals. Their voices were low, and with Kebula's state of mind being so chaotic, he completely missed what was said.
After the other two groups arrived and confirmed their signals, they began to examine the area.
From the square hole, everyone concluded that this should be One Night's face. It seemed that even the Dark Guild couldn't handle One Night's presence.
Wait, wait, now is not the time for this; everyone immediately began searching for One Night.
When they found One Night, he was being carried by Lisa, who seemed to be taking him somewhere.
"Put One Night Adult down!"
The members of Azure Wind Antelope rushed forward, but Lisa appeared unwilling to engage with them and quickly fled.
"Something feels off."
The others were on high alert; they couldn't understand what the enemy was thinking. Why take One Night away only to let him go? And why flee without a fight? Considering the intelligence they had, there was someone on the opposing side who could mimic others. They needed to be cautious about this returned One Night.
However, after being rescued, One Night showed no signs of distress and immediately began complaining that he had just gone out to use the restroom when he was captured, which only served to irritate everyone further.
"A code word?"
At that moment, Jura suddenly asked, while the others had already prepared for battle.
"A code word is just..."
One Night touched his head and slowly approached Jura.
"Iron Pillar!"
Without hesitation, Jura launched an attack, but suddenly Hetei charged out from the side.
"Softening!"
The rock softened instantly as One Night charged forward with a dagger in hand. However, Erza was already on high alert and kicked him away, causing One Night to transform into a human mid-air.
At the same time, Dark Magic surged towards everyone, scattering them apart. Lisa dashed towards Wendy, grabbing her and making a run for it.
"Don't go!" Miraj shouted as she tried to catch up, but a snake lunged at her.
Miraj quickly dodged, but the snake twisted in mid-air and bit the Sorceress wearing Serpent Empress's Scale.
"Damn it! Great Ice Ape!" Leo exclaimed as he made his move, but the Ice Ape's attack was distorted before it could reach the snake or Kebula.
"Alright, mission accomplished. Let's go!" With Brian's command, he wrapped Wendy and the Six Demon Generals vanished completely.
