“Has that guy Gajeel not returned yet?”
Sky Alia, one of the Four Elements, had her eyes covered with white cloth.
“Recently, our Guild has been attacked to varying degrees. It seems to be that Laxus Dreyar from Fairy Tail. All the other Guilds have raised their prices against us; it must be the work of that Alchemist from Fairy Tail. Joseph President has already gone to handle it. I just wonder how Gajeel is doing at Fairy Tail.”
“Hah, Fairy Tail is just a bunch of useless fools. No need to worry about them.”
Fire Rabbit Maru dismissed Fairy Tail entirely.
“Not good, not good!”
A Lackey rushed in, his face filled with terror.
“What’s wrong? Why are you so flustered?”
Alia was somewhat displeased.
“Out… outside…”
Seeing the person was so panicked he could barely speak, the Four Elements had no choice but to take everyone outside. Once they stepped out, they saw their Guild's flag hanging with a person on it—Iron Dragon Gajeel—positioned like a statue of liberty.
“Damn Fairy Tail!”
Alia was furious, feeling the surrounding people constantly pointing and whispering about her group. She suppressed her anger.
“Go get him down.”
“Yes.”
The person next to her trembled as he climbed up, but just as he untied the ropes around Gajeel, a terrifying explosion echoed through Specter’s Guild.
The Guild of Specter slowly began to crumble.
"Damn it, what the hell is going on!"
The members of Specter were furious.
"Oh my, this is quite the show," Newton said, clapping his hands as he approached with a mocking smile.
"Who are you?" Alia asked, her Void Magic already in motion, prepared to counter any sudden attack from Newton.
"Ah, Fairy Tail, Newton," he replied casually.
In an instant, Newton's Mechanical Arm seized Alia's head and slammed her down to the ground before she could react.
The earth shattered beneath them, and Alia's head was buried in the ground as her body convulsed uncontrollably. It was impossible to tell whether she was alive or dead.
"Damn it, did you do this?" Bunny Maru shouted, flames forming into a large bird that soared toward Newton.
Thor, wielding Earth Magic, covered Newton's feet with soil, immobilizing him.
"Hah, you think you can compare your control over the earth to mine?" Newton scoffed. He was not joking; his primary combat strength came from extracting elements from the earth for battle or crafting invisible weapons from the air. Coupled with the might of his Mechanical Arm, fighting him with dirt was a foolish endeavor.
The earth rose beneath Newton's feet, and a wall of dirt quickly formed, blocking Bunny Maru's flames.
"Your flames are really weak."
Newton was not joking; Bunny Maru's flames were far inferior compared to Natsu's.
"Wow!"
A torrential downpour surged toward Newton.
"Is that water from the Four Elements?"
Newton nodded. Indeed, based solely on personal strength, this Specter's S-Class Mage was only on par with Natsu, and there was a significant gap compared to his own S-Class Mage.
"Let me show you the difference between you and Fairy Tail's S-Class Mage."
With one hand, Newton decisively slapped the rainwater. The water, regardless of its elemental nature, was essentially the same; it was just structured differently. In an instant, the water from the Four Elements was frozen by Newton into ice. Ah, it took the shape of a Blue-Haired Enlightened Girl, which looked quite nice. Newton couldn't help but nod in approval.
Then, the ice in Newton's hand was forged into a Great Ice Hammer, with the water forming the head of the hammer. A warm smile appeared on Newton's face as the Ice Hammer continuously rose and fell.
"Watch this!"
Bunny Maru attempted to use his flames to melt the Ice Hammer, completely disregarding his own unit companions inside. This made Newton furrow his brow. With his other hand, he crafted a gun, but at that moment, Thor formed a wall of dirt to protect Bunny Maru.
"Really."
Newton shrugged. Firing the gun and dismantling the dirt wall happened almost simultaneously, resulting in Bunny Maru and Thor being pierced through by Newton's shot.
"One shot for two; how lucky."
The Ice Hammer ultimately struck Thor and Bunny Maru, but it shattered in the process.
Water Woman—well, let's just use her name—Zhubian surprisingly broke the Ice Hammer's confinement.
"Clap, clap, clap."
Newton clapped his hands again.
"Not bad at all. But just now, your partner was ready to melt the Ice Hammer with flames. That would have hurt you, right? Aren't you angry? You went through all this trouble to break the ice, and those two might not even appreciate it."
Such heartless words were nothing new to Zhubian in Specter; she had seen plenty of similar situations and felt no particular reaction to Newton's comments.
"Haha, got it!"
At that moment, Sky Alia had somehow snuck up behind Newton and touched his back with one hand.
Alia's magic was peculiar; if she could touch someone, she could directly dispel their magical power. For a Mage, whose magic was as essential as breathing, such an outcome could be quite terrifying. However, Newton had come well-prepared.
A chilling sensation made Alia pause for a moment as she noticed a round hole appearing in her abdomen. From her angle, she could even see the scene behind her.
Newton shook his Mechanical Arm.
"My Mechanical Arm is not just about strength."
Newton smirked; attempting to ambush him was not going to be that easy. Looking at the now disheartened Four Elements, he shrugged and walked over to plant each of them into the ground. Of course, since Zhubian was a girl, he merely glanced at her before creating a pit in the ground.
"Are you going to do it yourself?"
Zhubian teared up as she jumped in and was promptly buried by Newton.
"Clatter, clatter!"
It seemed as if they had timed it perfectly; the members of the Magic Council arrived.
The Specter group, who had previously held a strong disdain for these individuals, now found themselves eagerly awaiting their presence. However, the next scene left everyone in Specter on the verge of tears.
"Sir Isaac!"
A soldier at the forefront stood before Newton, first saluting, then waving his hand dramatically.
"Arrest these fellows!"
Immediately, the members of Specter were seized.
"Why are you arresting us?"
Naturally, some from Specter protested, but the leading soldier remained silent. Another soldier rummaged through the ruins of Specter and pulled out something.
"Report: A large quantity of contraband has been found in the ruins, just as Sir Isaac reported."
Upon hearing the soldier's words, the members of Specter realized they had been thoroughly outmaneuvered by Newton. With contraband involved, it was clear that they were in serious trouble this time.
