"Is this really Fairy Tail?"
A girl with golden hair was brought back by Natsu.
"Natsu, have you finally found a girlfriend?"
Many people teased Natsu, but he didn't mind at all; instead, he laughed heartily.
"No, she's here to join our Guild!"
"Natsu!"
Gray kicked him.
"It's quite noisy, isn't it?"
Miraj approached Lucy with a gentle smile.
"But everyone here is a good person."
A plate came flying in, and Miraj expertly caught it in her hand before tossing it back without looking.
"Miraj!"
Lucy became incredibly excited, like a fan seeing her idol, but then her expression quickly shifted to one of intense curiosity.
"Is it true that you and Sir Newton are dating?"
"Yes, that's not just a rumor."
Miraj's response set Lucy ablaze with excitement.
"Oh my gosh! By the way, it seems Sir Newton isn't here?"
Compared to everyone in Fairy Tail, the most famous ones are probably Miraj, who often appears in magazines, along with Newton and Rocky, known as the people's sweetheart. However, if we were to pick one that piques the most interest, it would be Newton. After all, most of the current Alchemy products stem from his research, and Isaac's name indeed resonates throughout the kingdom, just as the old man once requested.
"That guy? He usually doesn't come to the hall unless he has something to do at the library because he can't help but blow this place up."
Miraj shrugged her shoulders.
"Isaac doesn't like noisy environments, so if he were to come over, the entire Guild would probably be blown away."
"Ah, Sister Mira, that's quite dangerous."
Lucy wore a complicated smile, feeling that the so-called number one Guild in this kingdom had some serious issues.
"Well, it's okay. Everyone here is a good person."
Miraj's gentle smile provided Lucy with some comfort; at least it seemed like there wasn't much to worry about.
"That's enough!"
Makarov entered the scene, instantly commanding attention and suppressing everyone. Newton followed behind Makarov with an unwilling expression. Makarov then began to scold everyone present, only to finish off with a round of criticism directed at the Magic Council.
"Got scolded again?"
Newton approached Miraj with a resigned look. Miraj found it amusing as she watched him. Although he didn't necessarily have to go over, Newton still felt uneasy and followed Makarov to every meeting.
Miraj poured a drink for Newton.
"Yeah."
Newton nodded helplessly.
"It would be strange if I weren't scolded, right?"
With a sigh of resignation, Newton took a sip from his cup.
"Those old bastards are really something. But that guy, what was his name, Raijin? He wasn't too bad. At least he helped us out, though I can't shake the feeling that there's something off about him."
Newton frowned. He had little regard for the so-called Magic Council. Over the years, through various Alchemy products, Newton had certainly become one of the world's top-tier wealthy individuals. Even the Magic Council had benefited from his business dealings, and most of the disasters caused by Fairy Tail were ultimately cleaned up by Newton. With their economic lifeline in his hands, he didn't have to deal with the aftermath himself. So as long as Newton was around, the Magic Council couldn't do anything to Fairy Tail, which was why Makarov often liked to bring Newton along.
"A newcomer?"
At that moment, Newton noticed Lucy, who looked utterly defeated.
"Yeah, she's a newcomer that Natsu brought back. She's really eager to join our Guild," Miraj said with a smile.
"Is that so?"
A strange smile appeared on Newton's face.
"Feeling like your dreams have been shattered?"
"N-no... it's just..."
Lucy didn't even know what to say; the scene before her was indeed quite different from what she had imagined.
"Here."
Newton tossed her a package.
"Huh?"
Lucy quickly caught it and opened it to find a card and several vials inside.
"This is my identity card. Everyone in our Guild gets one. It's part of our Guild's benefits. With that card, you can enjoy a fifty percent discount at any store I’m affiliated with, and you can also find some hard-to-get items on the market. Plus, you can get a loan of five hundred thousand J without interest from the bank."
"Really?"
Lucy's eyes suddenly lit up.
"Thank you so much! Do you need any accessories for your thigh? If you do, please make sure to save a spot for me."
"Haha, I already have a girlfriend."
Newton chuckled as he looked at Lucy, then turned to Mira.
"Mira, someone wants to steal your husband..."
"You're not my husband..."
Mira rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Don't pay attention to this guy; he's just a smooth talker."
Mira pinched Newton's waist.
"Haha, haha."
Lucy forced a laugh, then pretended not to see the scene before her. The impact on a single person was just too great.
"Alright, alright. Lastly, welcome to Fairy Tail."
Newton reached out and pulled Mira into his embrace, eliciting a playful pout from her. With his other hand, he raised his glass towards Lucy.
"Uh..."
Lucy paused for a moment, then nodded with a blush.
"Thank you."
"Newton, is this our new recruit?"
After Makarov resolved the internal issues within the Guild, he approached Newton, intending to check on Lucy. After all, she was a newcomer to their Guild, and as the President, it would be remiss of him not to meet her properly.
"Hello."
Lucy looked at the old man in surprise. His appearance was so different from the giant she had first encountered or the disdainful figure who had confronted the Magic Council; it was as if they were two entirely different people.
"Nice to meet you."
Facing Miraj or Newton, Lucy might have felt a bit nervous, but in front of Makarov, she remained surprisingly calm. She could hardly believe that this elderly man was the legendary President or one of the Holy Ten Mages.
"Well, even though you came here with Natsu, make sure not to learn anything from him!"
Makarov's words made Lucy feel quite embarrassed. Considering the incident at the port, if Joan were to be counted, then she bore at least half the responsibility. However, now that she was part of Fairy Tail, it seemed reasonable to attribute all the blame to the Guild.
"If you want to learn something, come to me instead. I am the one with the best character in our Guild."
"Heh heh..."
Newton scoffed lightly before taking Miraj and leaving.
