**Chapter Seven: The Chaotic Dinner**
Fang Lin Kong had been mingling with Ding Chifeng for quite some time, and he was well-acquainted with several upscale hotels in the city. His method of selection was simply to find the nearest one, which fortunately meant that he did not take Duskaya to the Celebrity Hotel.
Although the Celebrity Hotel was the only five-star establishment in the city, boasting top-notch facilities, Fang Lin Kong was not a hospitable host and lacked sufficient enthusiasm to entertain the Belarusian beauty.
Upon entering the hotel, Fang Lin Kong let Duskaya inquire about a room at the front desk while he settled down on a sofa in the lobby. He took out his laptop. This device had been purchased alongside his PSP. He had already browsed through everything in Cosmic Robe and found an ancient Black Wood Ring. The ring itself was not particularly remarkable; it merely contained eighteen compartments hidden within its magical structure. Each compartment was roughly one cubic meter in size, making it incredibly convenient for carrying items.
Items classified as magical artifacts possessed extraordinary properties, allowing them to automatically shrink or enlarge and conceal themselves within their owner's body. However, ordinary objects could not be carried around at will, no matter how powerful a person might be; there simply wasn't a need for it.
Fang Lin Kong was accustomed to playing games and found this necessary item from the world of monsters—a bag—similar to those small gadgets. Once he got his hands on it, he couldn't put it down, filling it with many essential and non-essential items until four small compartments were already packed.
Eager to learn the Wind Riding Technique, Fang Lin Kong powered on his laptop and inserted the disc. A series of screeching sounds emanated from the drive as it struggled to read the disc, accomplishing what seemed impossible by extracting its contents with great effort.
Fang Lin Kong feared that this worn-out disc might fail at any moment, so instead of rushing to check its contents, he copied the data onto his hard drive.
The disc contained lengthy videos, and for a while, the drive continued its desperate struggle to finish reading it before potentially breaking down. Duskaya had completed her hotel registration and came over to sit across from Fang Lin Kong.
The allure of a foreign blonde beauty like Duskaya was undeniable; hotel guests passing by occasionally cast glances her way. Some even attempted to strike up conversations. However, Duskaya handled these advances with grace, subtly declining any invitations that seemed insincere.
Noticing Fang Lin Kong's serious expression, Duskaya couldn't help but smile slightly and said, "Although the Wind Riding Technique is an exclusive skill of Kunlun, it is also known outside. Our International Demon Alliance has internal databases that contain information on this subject. If you want to take a look, you can download it using my password from this website."
Fang Lin Kong was preoccupied with the failing disc and worried about his laptop's drive giving out on him. Hearing Duskaya's words surprised him as he asked, "Kunlun has even let their cultivation manuals leak out? Won't they be besieged by numerous monsters practicing Kunlun Taoism? Their intellectual property protection seems terribly inadequate!"
Duskaya brushed her golden hair away from her forehead and replied, "You really know nothing at all. For basic techniques like Wind Riding Technique, whether it's from Chinese Taoism or the European Demon Hunting Team or even our International Demon Alliance's database, they are semi-public. Even if you can't get an official version, underground pirated copies or popular OCR versions online are quite easy to obtain. Our bodies differ from humans', making such techniques less effective for us; it's simply not worth it. Moreover, advanced techniques from Kunlun or other sects have different levels of confidentiality; even among their own members, very few have access to those classified materials."
At that moment, Fang Lin Kong finally understood. He asked Duskaya for the password; however, by then his drive had valiantly finished reading the disc's contents and copied them onto his hard drive. There was no need to download Wind Riding Technique anymore, but checking out other materials would still be immensely useful.
Duskaya's generosity greatly increased Fang Lin Kong's affection for her. The resentment from being ambushed by the Belarusian beauty moments ago vanished completely. The two chatted happily, and since Fang Lin Kong hadn't eaten after school, he extended an invitation for dinner. Duskaya nodded slightly and said, "I need to go back to my room to change clothes. Please wait a moment."
Fang Lin Kong agreed, and Duskaya gracefully left. Taking advantage of the moment, Fang Lin Kong seized the opportunity to study the intricacies of the Wind Riding Technique.
Duskaya entered the elevator and arrived at the twelfth floor, at the room she had just booked.
After using her key card to unlock the door, Duskaya waved her delicate hand, and a travel bag no larger than a fingernail landed on the bed. A gentle puff of smoke dispersed, revealing that the travel bag had transformed into an enormous size. Duskaya casually opened it; this travel bag, not much smaller than a wardrobe, was filled with various fashionable outfits and even had a vanity function.
Originally dressed in a refreshing outfit, Duskaya removed her clothes, leaving only her form-fitting underwear and bra. Her beautiful figure was fully exposed. If Fang Lin Kong were fortunate enough to see her now, he would undoubtedly be overwhelmed.
The Belarusian girl was tall and slender in her youth, with curves in all the right places. The average height was over one hundred eighty centimeters. Her skin was exceptionally fair, as crystalline as the ice and snow of Siberia. Regardless of anything else, her height and complexion alone could make most men’s hearts race uncontrollably.
Duskaya was even more stunning than most beauties; even in Belarus, she was a rare gem. She chose a black dress for dinner that accentuated her tall and full figure, her skin like jade. With six-centimeter high-heeled sandals, she looked like a willow swaying in the spring breeze, exuding a grace that rivaled any international supermodel.
When Fang Lin Kong saw Duskaya reappear, he glanced at his own attire and felt somewhat embarrassed. However, he quickly composed himself, his thick skin helping him regain his composure.
The two found a window-side table in the restaurant. Duskaya ordered a steak while Fang Lin Kong unceremoniously asked the waiter if they had rice.
Accustomed to eating rice, Fang Lin Kong wasn't particularly fond of Western cuisine. So while Duskaya elegantly sipped exquisite red wine and dined gracefully, Fang Lin Kong dug into his mixed fried rice and braised crucian carp with gusto. To an outsider's view, although they were at the same table, it certainly did not resemble a romantic dinner.
"Hey! Is that you?"
Someone passing by their unique table suddenly exclaimed in surprise. Fang Lin Kong turned to see a girl dressed neatly and looking quite innocent staring at him. Her big eyes rolled around in surprise.
"Guan Lin—how did you end up like this?"
The last time Fang Lin Kong encountered Guan Lin, this super charming girl left quite an impression on him. So even though she had changed her style, he recognized her immediately. The girl who had once sported a buzz cut dyed in silver and gold while holding a cigarette and beer bottle now had soft hair cut to ear length and wore a pure and simple outfit that made her look as innocent as water. Even if he met someone capable of Seventy-Two Transformations now, nothing could shock Fang Lin Kong more than this transformation.
"Lin'er! Did you run into someone you know?"
"Yes! It's a classmate from school, Dad!"
A distinguished middle-aged man approached. Although he was dressed casually, Fang Lin Kong could sense that this man often occupied a commanding position, as there was an undeniable authority in his voice.
However, Fang Lin Kong paid little attention to him; no matter how important a person might be, they held no sway over a cultivator. Out of politeness, he stood up and greeted the man.
The middle-aged man nodded slightly and said, "My daughter, Guan Lin, is quite reserved and rarely makes friends at school. This is the first time I've seen her take the initiative to greet a classmate. Please look after her at school."
"Haha! No problem! Guan Lin is actually quite likable; it's just that everyone is busy and doesn't interact much—haha!"
Chuckling awkwardly, Fang Lin Kong spoke words he himself didn't believe. Mr. Guan merely smiled faintly and did not continue the conversation. His gaze swept over Duskaya; although he showed a hint of emotion, it quickly settled into calmness. He felt his daughter gently tugging at the hem of his clothing, realizing she didn't want to talk much with her classmates. He could only nod at Fang Lin Kong as he was led away by Guan Lin.
Duskaya's teasing gaze then landed on Fang Lin Kong's face, and she smiled playfully, "So? Is she your little girlfriend? How does it feel to meet your future father-in-law for the first time?"
Fang Lin Kong felt a mix of embarrassment and anger at Duskaya's teasing. He could only vent his frustration on the food in front of him, mumbling, "I have a girlfriend, but she's not this weirdo."
Feigning surprise, Duskaya wore an expression of disbelief that seemed half genuine as she replied, "Such a good girl, and you call her a weirdo? Look at her upbringing, her grace, her demeanor—what part of her is lacking compared to you? And you still want to be unfaithful? Men really are no good."
Fang Lin Kong was greatly frustrated; if that were the case, did it mean Ding Qingya had become the third party?
He wanted to argue fiercely but clearly saw that Duskaya had no intention of giving him that opportunity. After some aimless chatter, Fang Lin Kong found himself caught in a web of conversation that left him feeling utterly drained.
In the restaurant of this hotel, something peculiar seemed to be happening today. Just as Fang Lin Kong had not finished his dinner, another familiar face appeared. With a face that was wide at the bottom and narrow at the top—its large mouth resembling a basin—Fang Lin Kong wished he could forget but couldn't. It was none other than the Toad-Faced Man he had encountered last time while swimming with Cen Xiaoying, Ding Qingya, Lu Jiajia, Zhang He, and Xie Li.
Upon noticing this man's arrival, Fang Lin Kong hurriedly lowered his head. After having fought him off last time and fled, he wasn't sure if there would be any repercussions. Naturally, he didn't want to be recognized now.
However, Fang Lin Kong clearly underestimated how much allure the Belarusian beauty beside him possessed. This man was not only lecherous but also an extremely tasteless wolf in sheep's clothing. Upon catching sight of Duskaya, he couldn't help but stride over and plopped down at their table.
His massive frame not only put heavy pressure on the mahogany chair but also caused the ground beneath them to tremble slightly as if it were groaning under his weight.
Fang Lin Kong saw no need to hide now that the other party had come knocking. The sight before him was utterly unappetizing, so he unceremoniously kicked the chair of the Toad-Faced Man. A loud, grating sound echoed through the room as the force of Fang Lin Kong's kick sent the man sliding out of his seat before he could even attempt to flirt with the beautiful Duskaya.
The screeching of the wooden legs against the floor exceeded the threshold of tolerable noise for human ears. Almost all the diners in the restaurant turned their attention to this middle-aged man who seemed to be playing a game of sliding chairs.
The bodyguards who had entered with the man looked alarmed. They quickly dispatched a few of their number to chase after the sliding chair, but Fang Lin Kong's kick had been too powerful; these ordinary men were unable to catch up in time. They could only watch helplessly as their master crashed into several dining tables, ultimately toppling into a decorative potted plant.
Duskaya couldn't help but tremble with laughter at this sudden turn of events. While Fang Lin Kong was distracted by food, he also stole a glance at the Belarusian beauty's chest.
"That thing is really called Turbulent Waves!" he exclaimed.
What followed was a scene where someone roared in search of the culprit, but it never materialized.
The man who had fainted from frustration was hastily taken to the hospital for emergency treatment by his subordinates. Meanwhile, the remaining bodyguards, intent on finding the culprit, hadn’t even reached Fang Lin Kong's table for questioning when they were struck in the head by several Air Hammers, leading to yet another incident of unexplained fainting in a star-rated hotel restaurant.
In line with a spirit of simplicity and not wasting food, Fang Lin Kong, as the instigator, continued to feast until he cleared all the food from the table. Only then did Duskaya affectionately link her arm with his and leisurely lead him away.
