Stepping out of the "Warping Leap" felt like it took only a moment. 0

Ryze had a profound mastery of spatial magic; as long as he had the Coordinates, there was no place he couldn't reach. Garen looked around and realized he had arrived at the edge of Starsea Island, on the very bridge where he had ascended to legend. 0

Garen wasn't sure how long he had been in Dead Man's Gorge, but judging by the fading bloodstains on the bridge and the distant abandoned island, it must have been quite some time. 0

It seemed that ever since the moment the Pain Crystal shattered, his experiences in the Godeyas Continent had undergone a transformation. 0

"Is that it? An ancient void aura," Ryze said, pointing to the sky. 0

"Yes," Garen nodded. Below them, Immortal City still hovered in midair, while a raging hurricane below continuously sucked in vegetation and buildings. 0

"Is she your friend?" Ryze asked, stroking his chin, uttering this seemingly random question. 0

Garen paused for a moment before realizing that at the end of the bridge stood a figure, her face covered with a layer of white gauze, exuding an air of cold indifference and lethal grace. 0

She was Bai. 0

Garen hadn't expected to encounter Bai here and quickly pieced together what was happening. 0

"Are you going to stop me?" Garen took two steps forward and looked at Bai. 0

"I am loyal to Prince Su Ye of the Solomon Clan," Bai slowly raised her head. Her gaze was as indifferent as when they first met in Blackstone Town, yet it also carried a hint of weariness. 0

"And Prince Su Ye does not wish for you to enter." 0

Indeed, once Garen made up his mind about something, he would never change it. Everyone who knew him understood this well, especially Su Ye, who shared an Embrace bond with him. That woman could be certain that Garen would return to Immortal City; there was good reason for her conviction… 0

He had come out alone. 0

He hadn’t brought anyone he wanted to save with him. 0

“Why?” Garen asked, puzzled. Even if the reasoning made sense, he didn’t believe that woman would be so kind-hearted. 0

“Why…” Bai repeated, anger flashing in his eyes. “I want to know why too!” 0

Clearly, Su Ye hadn’t shared her thoughts with Bai, nor did she need to. Bai was almost blindly obedient to Su Ye; whatever that woman wanted to do, Bai would do everything in his power to support it. 0

In this case, there was no need for further discussion. 0

“Step aside,” Garen said politely. He could tell that Bai was an Advanced Blood Dancer, a top-tier Second Rank warrior, but Garen didn’t take any combat stance, not even drawing his Stormblade, because compared to Garen now, Bai was simply too weak. 0

“What if I don’t?” Bai narrowed his eyes and sneered. 0

Garen didn’t respond but instead let the rising aura around him speak for itself. This pressure surged like a torrent of beasts; the moment it erupted, the waters on both sides of the bridge roared in response, creating an impressive spectacle. However, just then, Garen suddenly reined in his power. 0

Bai unexpectedly took a step back, clearing a path. 0

Garen thought this was Bai’s concession, but before he could take a few steps forward, Bai’s cold laughter rang out again. 0

“Do you really think you can still enter Immortal City?” Bai said calmly. “This Lost Land is disappearing; its entrance has already closed off to living beings. Well… to be precise, it started seven days ago. But I wanted to see your disappointed face, so I stayed a few extra days.” 0

“I’m sorry, but I don’t believe you.” Garen looked up at the ancient city and continued walking forward. 0

Bai didn’t expect Garen to be so indifferent and snapped angrily, “If you go past this point, you’ll only be injured by the Void’s power! Give up on that thought; you can’t get in! The only unique way to save your student now is to wait for him to withdraw over these next few days! Of course, this must be under the condition that he hasn’t died.” 0

If one observes closely, they would notice that the bricks of Immortal City are disappearing moment by moment, just as they did when it first descended. Aside from the dead plants and trees, the search teams on the island have been swept up and severely injured by the hurricane, yet they have not been drawn into Immortal City... 0

All signs indicate that Immortal City is truly about to close. 0

Moreover, with Garen's legendary vision, he had actually realized this the moment he stepped out of Warping Leap. 0

Yet he still did not give up, for he held onto a glimmer of hope. 0

Upon entering Immortal City, Garen had two main objectives. The first was to find Han Yun and bring him out. However, Garen was not as fixated on this as he once was. Initially, his guilt towards Han Yun drove him, but upon learning that Master Yi was Han Yun, Garen gradually let go. He could teach his students but could not interfere with their lives. Garen must also respect all their decisions. 0

Even if one falls into despair, it is merely the price paid for their initial choices. 0

In addition to this, Garen had another crucial purpose... 0

He had to go to The Road of Descent once more! He needed to find Berfant! 0

There lay the final clue regarding Eternity! 0

At that moment, a weathered voice echoed. 0

“She is right. The entrance to the space has already closed,” Ryze said as he gazed at the ancient city in the sky. 0

Garen's heart sank. If even the millennia-old runemage Ryze acknowledged this fact, then perhaps this last shred of hope truly no longer existed... 0

“You must have a way, right?” Garen turned back to look at Ryze. 0

Ryze smiled and replied, “Of course. Although this void material feels unfamiliar to me, as long as I make adjustments during Warping Leap and take a detour through the void, getting in shouldn't be too difficult.” 0

However, Ryze let out a helpless sigh. "But there is bad news. I can’t do it anymore. I can feel the Rune Power is being weakened." 0

Garen was immediately taken aback. 0

It should be known that Rune Power was as integral to the warriors of the Valoran Continent as a part of their own bodies. Even when transformed into Fighting Spirit under the laws of the Godeyas Continent, a significant portion remained in its rune form, unable to be interpreted. 0

How could this possibly be weakened? 0

It was like having an apple already in one’s mouth, digested in the stomach—how could it still be taken away? 0

"Don't be so surprised. If I’m not mistaken, it must be an issue with the Watchtower," Ryze said calmly. "The purpose of the Watchtower is to transmit Valoran's power, but that is not its core essence. I've seen Heimerdinger's theories... The greatest function of the Watchtower is to maintain the flow of dimensional power." 0

"In simple terms, it ensures that we can continue to receive Rune Power after traversing dimensions... Even if the Watchtower itself is destroyed, this core System would still operate automatically. But if there’s a problem with Rune Power, then..." 0

Ryze's voice gradually grew softer. 0

Garen finally understood and frowned. "Then it can only mean that the core System has been destroyed." 0

"Yes... My rune supply can no longer keep up with the rate of consumption." Ryze extended his palm and looked down, seeing his purple skin coated in a layer of deep gray, marked with cracks like stone. 0

Soon after, the deep gray rapidly spread, quickly covering Ryze's entire body. 0
