The cold wind howled, and the entire world was draped in silver.
Standing deep in the snowstorm, Garen looked around, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.
"Trial Space..." Garen realized that this world was not real; even the snow and wind hitting him felt devoid of chill. It was still somewhat astonishing that the Holy War System had suddenly brought him here.

At that moment, the Ancient Golem let out a deep roar and charged towards him! Its massive body lunged at Garen!
Garen decisively dodged to the side and swiftly countered with his sword. The blade struck the Golem's shoulder with a resounding thud, sending a shower of debris flying. Before Garen could continue his assault, the glowing patterns on the Golem's surface flared brightly, and a burst of blue light shot toward him, crashing into Stormblade with a thunderous impact!
"Zing!" Garen braced against the energy blast with his sword, but he was forcefully pushed back, sliding smoothly until he found himself a hundred meters away!
In the snow-covered ground stretched a straight and deep trench!
Seeing Garen being repelled, the Golem let out a mocking roar, and its body of stone began to writhe, gathering energy for a larger blue orb!
This beam of light swept through the swirling snowstorm, and before it had fully formed, it erupted with numerous smaller beams shooting towards Garen from all directions!
However, just as the Golem struck a pose, Garen was already in motion.
In the midst of a fierce battle, the most dangerous thing is to use skills that require long casting times, as this gives the opponent a chance to counterattack!
Suddenly, a straight figure appeared on the snowy ground! As blue beams twisted and surged toward him, Garen swiftly dodged with two quick sidesteps and sliced through one beam, splitting it in half as it crashed into the snow with a tremendous explosion!
With about twenty meters left to go, Garen's speed surged dramatically, and in an instant, he closed the distance to the Golem!
Although he couldn't use Fighting Spirit to execute Fatal Strike, he could still achieve basic acceleration. Garen delivered a powerful kick to the Golem's waist, then flipped around to its back, gripping his sword tightly as he plunged it downward!
With a resounding clang, the massive sword pierced straight into the Golem's head. Ignoring the Golem's struggles, Garen twisted the sword violently, causing a cascade of rubble to tumble down!

"Rune Fragment!" Garen exclaimed in surprise. He knew that enhancing his Fighting Spirit with Rune Fragments was undoubtedly the most reliable and effective method at present. As the wind and snow howled once more, Garen's stamina quickly recovered. He was not surprised; just as he had guessed earlier, this Trial Space was likely a virtual construct created by the System. Only Garen's consciousness had truly entered it, so there was no actual stamina consumption involved.
What truly puzzled Garen was the strength of these Golems.
Although the combat power of these Golems was not too shabby, it was still far from being a match for Garen, who was well-versed in battle.
Was acquiring Rune Fragments this easily really acceptable?

This was perhaps Garen's most desperate moment since entering the Trial Space. Just after slaying his twelfth Golem, he was engulfed by a storm of blue beams and turned to ash!
After failing the trial, Garen heard the System's voice asking if he wanted to challenge again.
Learning from his previous experience, Garen ultimately chose to attempt a second challenge. Compared to his first attempt, he made significant progress this time; he not only consecutively defeated seventy-four Golems but also managed to endure for seven full days! Unfortunately, due to a minor misstep in his movements, he found himself trapped deep within a swarm of Golems and ultimately failed again.
Continuing to ponder over the reasons for his failure, Garen opted for a third challenge.
