To explore the situation surrounding the black hole, Sain and Hikamu set out to gather information. Sky's Satellite discovered a pyramid, and driven by curiosity, Reynold sent Hikamu to investigate it. However, the First Officer, feeling bored, went for a walk and ended up getting lost. At that moment, Hikamu and the Beast Soldiers were already engaged in battle.
They had delayed for quite some time before finally arriving to support Hikamu. In the narrow passageway, a battle unfolded where magic suppressed Laser Weapons. Just as they managed to rescue the barely conscious Hikamu, Fiona Rickey could no longer contain herself and began to interact with the seal, preparing to unleash her power to capture the members of Dream Seeker II.
While continuously covering Sain and Senri as they rushed to rescue Hikamu, Reynold noticed the figure attempting to control Hikamu starting to change. He sensed that things were not looking good but felt a strange familiarity with this being who could speak Earth’s language. However, the darkness made it difficult to see their face clearly.
Sain and Senri, in their haste to pull Hikamu away, forgot to protect him. At that moment, numerous burns appeared all over Hikamu’s body, emitting smoke from the wounds.
In this cramped space, neither side could fully leverage their numerical advantage. However, the sheer number of Beast Soldiers was overwhelming; Reynold and his team found that a few simple shots from their weapons caused many of them to vanish. After fighting for some time, over twenty Beast Soldiers had been eliminated, while their ship's crew remained unharmed thanks to their protective shields.
Suddenly, a barrage of magic attacks surged toward them, making Reynold feel increasingly strained. He caught sight of several spells directly hitting Hikamu’s body and shouted in anguish:
“Kris… you two quickly activate Magnetic Shield and Laser Shield… Dry Wood is no longer viable!”
Upon hearing this, Kris ceased providing fire support and began activating the shields. A small device sparkled with starlight before quickly projecting a transparent virtual screen that expanded into an umbrella-shaped shield.
“Good!!!”
With Sain and Senri working together, two shields appeared. They supported Hikamu as they retreated to the back line, positioning the shields behind them to block the incoming magic. It was no longer suitable to continue fighting desperately; although the enemy's numerical advantage couldn’t be fully realized here, Reynold felt that his high-tech weapons were also not being utilized effectively.
“Senri, Sain, you two take Hikamu out of here while we hold them off. Alan, prepare for medical assistance as quickly as possible.” Reynold shouted urgently while activating his communicator to contact the crew inside the ship.
However, the situation outside the temple was not peaceful either. Many Beast Soldiers rushed in from the Demon God Barrier, ready to assist their Young Master.
It turned out that while waiting for news at the Demon God Barrier, the Fire Beast had dispatched a small team of Beast Soldiers to scout the situation. However, the second wave of Beast Soldiers soon discovered a strange giant floating in mid-air outside the temple. They noticed that this creature had opened a mouth, and colorful beams of light were annihilating their kind.
Upon witnessing the disappearance of their fellow Fire Beasts and Tiger Beasts, they were not only astonished but also filled with extreme rage. They were tasked with protecting their Young Master, and even though their opponent was so powerful, they were determined to fight to the death. The remaining two thousand Beast Soldiers, except for a few sent to notify Beastman Village, all geared up and marched towards the temple.
Seeing so many monsters charging towards them, Fan Qing and the others inside the spaceship broke out in cold sweat. This was their first battle, and they had no grasp of the enemy's capabilities. If their attack methods were incorrect, they would surely suffer great losses.
“Captain, more monsters are surrounding the spaceship!” Lan Liu immediately reported to Reynold while requesting permission to attack those monsters.
Although there were over two thousand enemies, they were all primitive Beast Soldiers wielding spears and wearing heavy armor. They speculated that these soldiers likely lacked combat skills, so it wouldn’t be wise to use large weapons indiscriminately. Such unfriendly actions could lead to humiliation in their mission.
“I know… Just don’t let them in! We’ll be going out soon!”
At this moment, both humans and Beast Soldiers in the corridor were in utter chaos, while Hong Lickqi, who was breaking the seal, found himself in a predicament. Since his restoration, this was his first attempt at unsealing, and it was progressing painfully slowly. The changes in his body were almost visible to the naked eye. To successfully unlock it, he had no choice but to squeeze himself to the back of the battle and proceed slowly…
Reynold retreated while assigning tasks:
“Wenke, get ready to ensure the spaceship can launch at any moment. Fan Qing, keep the Solar Nuke on standby. Gideon, you’re responsible for firing sonic waves and antimatter around us!”
“Understood!” Hikamu quickly ran outside with the support of Senri and Sain. Sward and Kris also hurriedly retreated as Reynold intermittently fired energy waves to hinder the advance of the Beast Soldiers. They had reached a point where using ultimate weapons was unavoidable. Even if their opponents were barbaric creatures without Enlightenment, these weapons might serve as a lesson—especially one aimed at preventing harm to teammates…
In an instant, the dark corridor lit up as bright as day. The battle outside had begun; its brilliance shone deep into the stone cave. The monsters wielding spears outside could not only throw them but also frequently unleashed numerous magical energy balls. These glowing orbs could cause significant damage to the spaceship's shield, prompting those inside to gradually take notice.
Feeling a wave of relief at the heavy responsibility granted to him, he knew that with the help of the Solar Nuke, these creatures would have no resistance whatsoever. Soon, a pyramid-shaped launcher extended from the top of the spaceship, unleashing subsonic waves that fired numerous transparent Antimatter projectiles into the Beast Horde, resulting in violent explosions that instantly caused countless casualties among the Beast Soldiers.
On another front, the spaceship was not without its own troubles as it was struck by magic. However, the Mother Ship, equipped with automatic recovery and robotic repairs, was far from fragile; this level of attack clearly did not inflict any significant damage. Meanwhile, the crew inside the ship was preparing to support their teammates and plan for a retreat.
Reynold and his group finally emerged, as Hong Lickqi's seal reached its release phase. His body began to twist grotesquely, no longer resembling a living being. At that moment, a purple cloud appeared in the sky outside, seemingly resonating with Hong's energy.
"Get on the ship!"
Reynold fired at the ever-changing form of Hong, who was their leader. He still hoped to deliver a painful blow to him, but it did not cause much harm.
Seeing such a massive spaceship outside, Hong Lickqi burst into laughter. What a perfect ship it was! His desire for control began to swell uncontrollably...
The Antimatter projected by the ship and the subsonic waves killed most of the Beast Soldiers. Although they suffered heavy losses, there was no sign of surrender; they continued their fierce assault.
"Quick! Use magical defenses!"
The Beast Soldiers were puzzled: they saw nothing yet their comrades were falling one after another. The invisible killers—those ignorant subsonic waves—left them bewildered until they heard Hong Lickqi's command and finally began to defend themselves.
"Watch me!" Hong Lickqi soared into the air, his body enveloped in purple light. For some reason, after being attacked by the subsonic waves, a strange and powerful force flowed within him. This power filled him with extreme excitement as the Solar Nuke was about to be launched, and his massive tail unfurled rapidly...
