Dream Seeker II surged forward, transforming into a blur after a brief acceleration. Standing at the Demon God Barrier, the waiting Beast Soldiers sensed a tremendous upheaval not far away, but without orders, they dared not act recklessly.
"Is something wrong with the Young Master?" The Fire Beast hesitated anxiously on the edge of a ravine. If anything happened to the Young Master, he would have a hard time explaining himself. Before the Young Master returned, he had been a high-ranking Half-Orc official in Beastman Village, revered above all beasts but one. However, with the return of the Young Master, his status had naturally diminished, especially since Beast King S. Rikkichi had transferred part of his military authority to his son.
At this moment, he was indecisive; even if he lost one opponent like the Young Master, the Beast King would surely not spare him, especially since his trusted allies were few.
"Everyone stay alert and be ready to support at any moment!" The Fire Beast shouted from atop a high rock.
The remaining nearly two thousand nine hundred Beast Soldiers cheered together. Beside the Fire Beast, the Tiger Beast hesitated but continued to wave his arms vigorously.
The Fire Beast was a descendant of an elder family among the Half-Orcs, always believing in his noble lineage. Even the Beast King favored him greatly and held him in high regard.
On the other hand, the Tiger Beast was rescued by S. Rikkichi from the Lost Forest. Due to the divide between orcs and Half-Orcs, he was not well accepted by other beasts and had been bullied by other Half-Orcs when he was young. At that time, without a son of his own, S. Rikkichi took notice of this orc. Although he lacked intelligence, his strong physique showcased his potential strength. Thus, S. Rikkichi personally trained the Tiger Beast, molding him into a fierce warrior who was neither as brutish as other orcs nor lacking in cunning.
The Tiger Beast felt immense gratitude; recalling those past events filled him with mixed emotions. Thinking of his master filled him with appreciation. After Hong Lickqi was defeated, S. Rikkichi had secretly met with the Tiger Beast. He was appointed as Hong's combat instructor and entrusted with the responsibility of protecting the Young Master.
In the treacherous depths of the Lost Forest, surrounded by countless disdainful gazes and the concerned eyes of the Beast King, a stark contrast emerged. Even if S. Rikkichi did not say it outright, he had already devoted his life to this family... If his brother, the Fire Beast, truly intended to rebel, he would report it to the Beast King at once!
Having undergone intense training, Hikamu effortlessly climbed to the top of a walkway. While climbing was easy enough, maintaining that position using only his palms and feet to support his entire body was far from simple. It wasn't long before he could endure the soreness, but beads of sweat were impossible to suppress. When faced with that terrifying visage—eyes nearly obscured—those beads of sweat finally dripped down.
Those few annoying droplets landed precisely beside that monster's mouth, startling one of the Beast Soldiers. However, he paid little mind to it; simply lifting his head at first revealed only darkness until he soon discovered that there was indeed someone up there...
And so he shouted:
"There's something up there!!!"
Hong Lickqi, who had moved to the front, quickly reacted and shifted the Magic Sphere backward. At that moment, the light from the Magic Sphere illuminated the area beside the screaming beast.
"What are you shouting about?" Hong Lickqi said sternly, looking at the trembling Beast Soldier.
"Up there..." said the Beast Soldier, deliberately raising his large hand to point at the ceiling.
Above them was a dark expanse. Hikamu realized that the situation had worsened and was desperately trying to crawl toward the exit. At first, the other Beast Soldiers thought nothing of it, but the one reporting was known to be quite timid.
"What’s up there?" asked a tall Beast Soldier next to the shaking one.
At that moment, Hong's expression became complex. After a brief hesitation, he directed the Magic Sphere toward where the Beast Soldier was pointing. It gradually approached…
The glow of the Magic Sphere shone directly on Hikamu, making his battle attire appear dazzling in the light.
The Beast Soldiers saw a strangely dressed figure hovering above them. Suddenly, one of them shouted, "I've seen that godly king! They all wear the same thing!!!"
Of course, Hikamu couldn't understand them. The Beast Soldiers were instantly filled with fervor and began unleashing various magical attacks. Among the Half-Orcs, there were still many mages, but only a few of the beastmen possessed any magical abilities.
Chaos erupted among the Beast Soldiers, creating an opportunity for Hikamu. He dodged their attacks with all his might while rapidly moving toward the outside. However, those magical Beast Soldiers did not relent; even if ten spells didn't converge on him, more magical projectiles would come flying in. At that moment, only about ten Beast Soldiers stood in his way toward freedom. Hikamu flipped over and landed from mid-air. Using the strength in his legs, he spun around, increasing his speed continuously. His feet spread wide to form a 360-degree attack, sending all the Beast Soldiers directly beneath him flying away.
At this point, over ninety Beast Soldiers had been split into two groups, with only nine remaining near the cave entrance—each wielding massive hammers. Hikamu knew he had no room for hesitation; they had already declared war against him, and he didn’t understand their language well enough to negotiate.
The nine Beast Soldiers outside were clearly aware of the gravity of their duty, gripping their hammers tightly and preparing for battle at any moment. Hikamu landed steadily on the steps, while those Beast Soldiers who had been kicked aside were helped up by their comrades behind them.
At this moment, the Beast Soldiers noticed the strange figure pulling out a small object that glimmered with light, appearing somewhat puzzled. Both sides had now entered a standoff.
Originally at the front of the group, Hong Lickqi found himself at the back. At first, he intended to stay behind and observe the situation, but he knew that the Earthling was not an ordinary character, especially since he held an even smaller object in his hand. Although he didn't know what it was, it was the only thing he had, and it must be a formidable weapon. Thus, he called out to his comrades while pushing his way forward.
When this Young Master saw Hikamu, his heart trembled; this guy was indeed impressive, even stronger than his former Captain Yu Tian. He could only shout, "This guy doesn't understand magic! You two should avoid direct attacks with weapons and protect the mages behind us!"
Although Hong Lickqi used a magical language that Hikamu did not comprehend, he could still sense that those words were not a good omen. As the tension in his voice lowered, the killing intent from the surrounding Beast Soldiers grew heavier... He tightened his grip on the Laser Emitter in his hand.
To briefly introduce this Laser Emitter: it is a device capable of adjusting the frequency of lasers. The one in Hikamu's hand was about the size of a small lighter but radiated brilliant light. As the frequency increased, the lethal energy of the beam became stronger; conversely, lowering it diminished its lethality. Therefore, he could use this weapon for illumination. The energy source for this emitter came from a small pump inside it, containing pure electric energy stored in its minimal Yako state.
Of course, Hikamu had more than just this energy-dependent weapon; his backpack also contained a spinning longsword and a sharp serrated knife. He hoped to engage in close combat; if that were possible, he wouldn't feel any fear even against these hulking figures. However... those damned creatures could project unfamiliar orbs of light that could leave deep craters in solid stone walls.
The atmosphere grew increasingly tense. After Hong Lickqi issued his command, over a hundred Beast Soldiers immediately surrounded them, using long-range magic to suppress Hikamu. Meanwhile, Hikamu remained cautious, dodging these attacks and conserving his dwindling energy.
As the force of their attacks intensified, Hikamu felt that he could no longer evade many of them and quickly activated the Laser Emitter to counterattack.
The power of the Laser Emitter was extraordinary; the first Beast Soldier who disregarded the blue beam was incinerated within three seconds, leaving nothing but ashes behind. The previously aggressive Beast Soldiers became frantic; caught between two fronts, Hikamu had to withdraw his hands or legs to block incoming sneak attacks while continuing to fight back.
"Captain, come save me! We're under attack!" At this moment, Hikamu felt increasingly overwhelmed, relying solely on sheer willpower to endure.
"Hang on!" At that moment, Reynold and several teammates had landed their ship on the ground and engaged in battle with three guards outside. Due to the vastness of the area outside, those three Beast Soldiers coordinated effectively to block several waves of attacks from Reynold and his team while also launching Magic Spheres around them to create traps—pits and hollows everywhere.
Reynold finally stopped worrying about protecting any alien civilization and activated the super radiation emitter in his hand. Instantly, countless lethal rays surged towards the three Beast Soldiers, constrained by particles. The Beast Soldiers, unable to see the rays, had no idea how they met their demise.
Just when Reynold thought he had resolved the situation, he discovered over a hundred Beast Soldiers flying toward him out of nowhere.
"Their weapons are strange. Quickly activate the energy shield and use ultraviolet light to illuminate them!" Reynold commanded immediately, drawing on his combat experience.
A faint green energy shield appeared around the Mother Ship, with a small opening at the bottom. A deep purple beam shot out, curving mysteriously to strike the approaching Beast Soldiers.
The more than a hundred Beast Soldiers outside believed they were facing powerful magic and raised their protective shields, but it was futile. The highly concentrated ultraviolet rays scorched the grass, and the shields of the Beast Soldiers shattered in an instant. The last Beast Soldier to die could only conclude: this was not magic but a force from the depths of death…
"They're all monsters, Captain!" Hikamu struggled to hold on, clearly overwhelmed as wounds appeared on his body.
"Everyone get your weapons ready! I'm going to rescue Hikamu; we can't let him suffer alone!" At that moment, Reynold put away the emitter and was the first to rush toward the stone steps leading outside.
"Understood!" everyone replied in unison as they quickly followed Reynold, gripping their weapons tightly.
Hikamu's Laser Emitter was indeed powerful, but its energy was dwindling. "Looks like I have no choice but to break through!" By now, several corpses lay around him, while others had turned to ash. There were only three Beast Soldiers blocking the exit, and Hikamu hoped he still had enough strength left.
He kicked one of the nearest Beast Soldiers aside; it toppled over, but its hammer swung horizontally, blocking Hikamu's path. The other Beast Soldiers seemed to understand their enemy's intent as those deeper in began to attack fiercely. At that moment, Hikamu just wanted to escape; though it wasn't glorious, he hoped to give his teammates an explanation, ignoring several attacks from Magic Spheres hitting his back.
With a sudden burst of strength, he stomped down hard on the massive hammer and continued sprinting toward the exit.
At that moment, Hong Lickqi truly feared that the Earthling would escape. Pushing through the Beast Horde, he came up behind Hikamu and shouted loudly:
"Don't run away!"
Hikamu froze, stopped, and turned around to ask, "Who are you?"
It was indeed strange for someone who could speak Earth language to appear in this Beast Horde.
"I'm also a member of the Black Hole Project," Hong Lickqi prepared to spin a tale.
"I don't know you!"
"I'm a member of Dream Seeker One..." Hong Lickqi realized that this must be a follow-up team for the current plan, and he confirmed this from Hikamu's words. He hoped to deceive the control of this spaceship.
"Hikamu, are you still in there?" Reynold and the others had rushed in quickly, but what they saw were several monsters.
"I'm in here!" Hikamu's voice came out, panting.
"Get out quickly! They're all monsters!" At that moment, Kris, who had rushed in and found Hikamu surrounded, shouted loudly.
"Indeed!" At that moment, Hong Lickqi's massive tail emerged. He anticipated that all the team members should arrive here soon, so there was no need to tire themselves out; they could simply deal with it through force...
Hikamu didn't say anything more and quickly dashed out, knocking down a Beast Soldier. With just one last Beast Soldier left, he could meet up with the captain just a few meters away.
"Quickly use magic to... annihilate them all!" A deep purple light shot towards Hikamu, and he felt a sharp pain in his back, causing his legs to buckle. His entire body collapsed like a deflated balloon.
"Captain, hurry! I'm injured..." Hikamu didn't know what was happening, but an excruciating pain pierced through his heart.
"Almost there!" Reynold and the others were preparing to rush to his aid...
Hikamu pulled out his Laser Gun, which only had a small amount of energy left. Beams of laser shot out in all directions as over a hundred Beast Soldiers attacked him relentlessly, determined not to let the enemy escape. His wounds multiplied, while Hong Lickqi merely stood back and watched.
"Hikamu!!!" Reynold activated the nuclear launcher, unleashing wave after wave of nuclear radiation that took down several Beast Soldiers.
Hikamu was on the verge of collapse; the last remaining Beast Soldier seemed incredibly powerful and continued its fierce assault on him. Fortunately, his teammates were wearing radiation-proof space suits, but Hikamu's body was already riddled with injuries.
"Get Hikamu back!" Senri and Sain charged forward while Reynold led the others to provide cover with their Laser Guns and atomic wave guns.
Senri and Sain used their lasers to eliminate the last Beast Soldier, dragging the barely conscious Hikamu back with great effort.
"Destroy them all!" Hong Lickqi hadn't anticipated that the enemy would gain the upper hand. Not wanting to hide his strength any longer, he began to lift the energy seal.
Even though this change occurred deep within the cave, a storm began brewing in the clouds above the temple, as if a torrential downpour was imminent.
"Captain, there's something unusual outside! Come quickly!"
