Upon learning that the source of energy had been found, Reynold was naturally thrilled. With sufficient energy, and thanks to the powerful capabilities of the Dream Seeker II, even the mightiest civilization on this planet would be unable to withstand continuous attacks.
Leaping down from the rock, Reynold strolled across the grass, savoring nature's gifts.
Long ago, he had fantasized about returning to Earth in the twentieth century, back to a peaceful world. However, at this moment, he had not returned to the past but was experiencing its tranquility, along with that Energy Crystal mine—how could he not be grateful for his luck?
Suddenly realizing he hadn't checked in with Sain, who had gone out searching, he immediately instructed Wenke to connect with Sain and asked, "Sain, how's it going over there?"
In contrast to the captain leisurely walking on the grass, Sain was running across an endless expanse of grassland. It wasn't a joyful run in a free and open field; rather, it felt overwhelming as he had been running for a long time without encountering anything of note. Being a diligent CRB member was precisely why he had been directly recruited.
"Captain, I can't find anything here. I've been running for ages. It's just endless grassland all around—no special circumstances..." Sain spoke while catching his breath.
"It's alright... no rush..." Reynold certainly wasn't trying to comfort his good crew member.
"Oh... Captain, I think I see a river ahead. I'm going to check it out..." Sain said before accelerating towards the river on the horizon.
"Okay!" Reynold knew Sain would relay any information promptly. After a simple response, he switched the signal back to the ship's internal communication system. (It wasn't that they couldn't use internet communication; it just had significant limitations. It was only useful in special situations like meetings; using it regularly made communication difficult.)
"Lan Liu, what's the situation?" Reynold felt a bit weary and squatted down, plopping onto the grass.
"Captain, the data analysis is complete." Lan Liu's tone was calm. However, when this lively girl spoke so calmly, it often meant bad news.
"What information do you have?" Reynold knew his subordinates well, especially the three who were with him this time; they had worked together multiple times. He sensed something ominous was about to happen as his muscles tensed up.
Lan Liu stared at the screen and spoke clearly through the microphone: "Based on data analysis from the six satellites we launched, there are nearly a billion unknown animals on this planet. However, after careful calculations regarding our landing area, there are only a few thousand animals here. This planet has many grand structures, including pyramids and Stone Houses. I've already sent over detailed geographical information..."
Reynold opened the simulation display, which immediately showed an object resembling a planet—Kadar Planet. They referred to it as Black Hole No. 0 for better integration.
The planet was clearly divided into two regions; their side had sparse horizons and flat terrain dominated by grass. It was evident that there was a forest to the south of their landing point, but Hikamu was heading north while Sain was heading east. In the east lay a river—the only visible river on the entire planet. As the sphere rotated, the situation on the planet gradually became clearer. The river flowed into a mountain range before disappearing. This created an area of darkness on the sphere where satellites could not reach. Reynold felt simply puzzled as he turned the sphere to another region where the terrain was rugged; even high-definition satellites struggled to detect specific surface conditions due to special interference.
Gazing at this strange planet, Reynold adjusted his view near their landing point and spotted a massive pyramid in the north—just as Lan Liu had mentioned. In another area, he could also see traces of many Stone Houses. He shifted southward again; within that forest were many exposed building tops, but they were clearly smaller than that large one in the north. In fact, there was a small detail he overlooked: not far to the west were signs of a nuclear explosion... He asked himself:
"Pyramid?"
"Yes, it's not far to the north!" Lan Liu assumed the captain hadn't seen it on the 3D simulation of the planet and replied.
"Oh, then you can continue with your work!" Reynold didn't want to disturb Lan Liu any further. At that moment, he suddenly decided to check out the massive pyramid; perhaps it was related to Earth's civilization. He switched channels to Hikamu, stood up, and looked toward the northern sky, saying:
"Hikamu, you're to the north, right?" The Mother Ship, Dream Seeker II, had already landed here and found energy veins deep at the landing site. They had no choice but to send Hikamu, who was closest to the pyramid, to investigate...
"Yes!" Hikamu was walking slowly across the grass. He wasn't being lazy; he just wanted to identify anything unusual. Otherwise, this endless vegetable field seemed boundless.
Watching the team track the signal report, Reynold noticed that Hikamu was not far from the pyramid; something must be blocking his view. This pyramid might indeed have a significant connection to the origins of Earth's civilization. They, Dream Seekers, were not only searching for the mysteries of the universe but also seeking the origins of life.
"Keep moving forward; I'll have Gideon send you the data. Before long, you'll see a pyramid!" Reynold stood up and began pacing back and forth, clearly unable to hide his excitement.
"Understood!" At that moment, he looked straight north and indeed saw something pointed being obscured by a large patch of tall grass. He quickened his pace.
"Alright!" Reynold could no longer contain himself and hurriedly turned toward the spiral staircase. Once inside the inner cabin, he quickly walked toward the cockpit; only there could he see everything clearly.
"Gideon, hurry and send the pyramid data to Hikamu!" Reynold seemed a bit too excited, causing everyone to overlook a report from Lan Liu: there were thousands of unknown life forms in this area as well.
"Okay!" Gideon received the order and immediately began executing it.
After speaking, Reynold returned to his position, sat down abruptly, and opened the controller to browse through detailed resource reports.
Kris, who had nothing much to do but patrol the ship, felt somewhat bored after taking a quick round inside and returned to the rest chamber for some downtime. He felt as if he had lost something; his head felt like it was about to explode.
At that moment, Sain was still running swiftly across the vast grassland, tightly gripping his Laser Gun as he headed toward the water's edge. Generally speaking, areas near water sources were likely where life forms would come to drink. This could potentially lead to conflicts...
However, upon reaching the water's edge, he found nothing there and had no choice but to search along the riverbank...
Senri personally came to oversee energy extraction at a nearby site to ensure everything went smoothly. At this point, only Hidom continued moving forward with purpose.
Indeed, those weeds obstructed his view. Following the map sent by Mother Ship, he quickly located Joy Pyramid. Looking at such a massive structure even larger than Cosmic Museum made him marvel continuously while feeling fortunate to be the first one here.
He circled around the pyramid once and reported some basic observations before following instructions into the pyramid's passageway. As he walked further in, he soon heard footsteps coming from outside.
At that moment, Hong Lickqi had arrived outside the temple with several teams of magical beasts. He was preparing to return to the village when he sensed an unfamiliar energy fluctuation nearby and thought something might be wrong, so he quickly brought a few teams of magical beasts with him.
Hikamu, who had initially been indifferent, was still venturing deeper into the temple when Reynold's sudden voice crackled through, filled with urgency. "Hikamu, we've detected a group of nearly one hundred and fifty creatures approaching the pyramid. You need to leave now!"
"But I've already made it inside the pyramid!" Hikamu began to pay closer attention to the sounds outside. It seemed that the footsteps were still quite far from his position.
"What? They've already arrived? You need to move further in and see if there are any other exits. I'm on my way!" Reynold's voice was clearly panicked, trembling with anxiety.
"Senri, Sain, Kris, gather at the ship quickly!" Reynold shouted into the communicator, his frantic tone echoing throughout the vessel.
"I'm almost there!" Sain replied shortly. He realized he had lost track of which direction he had come from and was now relying on instinct to move away from the river.
Senri responded as well, "I'll bring in the energy I've collected right away!" Senri was controlling all the robots and hastily making his way back to the ship with all the energy they had gathered.
"Kris, why aren't you saying anything?" Reynold wondered aloud, thinking that perhaps the First Officer had fallen asleep.
"Captain! I was bored and wandered off, but I didn't expect to get lost." Kris had intended to take a break but, upon stepping out of the ship and seeing such a beautiful landscape, he aimlessly walked in an uncertain direction. Before long, he realized he couldn't find his way back to the ship. To make matters worse, he hadn't brought any equipment with him!
"Stay put. Hikamu is trapped; we'll use the satellite to locate you quickly and bring you back."
"I'm really sorry! I'm such a useless deputy!" Kris stood frozen in place, lowering his head in despair.
