Following the large strides of Shui Er, they quickly arrived at a picturesque location.
It seemed that the Otherworld still had some relatively ordinary places.
This area was distinctly different from the Water Elemental Realm and the Fire Elemental Realm: here, there was soil, and plants grew above it, with all kinds of exotic flowers and grasses. It was simply a magical kingdom of plants.
"It looks like this is the Earth Elemental Realm!" Yu Tian weaved through the flowers and grass alongside Shui Er, who appeared quite delighted, as if it had not been here for a long time. I should briefly mention that these six Otherworlds are interconnected. The Water Wolf God living here does not only refer to those staying in the Water Elemental Realm; they can visit various Otherworlds for leisure, but this requires approval from the Elemental Gods of each realm.
Stepping lightly on the soft grass felt incredibly comfortable, and the pain from the disappearance of the Water Elemental Pearl gradually healed amidst these soothing surroundings. It was in this place that Yu Tian was about to embark on another battle... or perhaps it was not a battle at all, just a small test.
"How strange! Why didn’t that intense battle we just had attract the attention of those Elemental Gods?" Yu Tian wondered aloud, feeling puzzled and turning to Shui Er for answers.
"I don’t know!" Shui Er replied succinctly with just three words.
"What? You really don’t know?" Yu Tian observed Shui Er's proud demeanor as it walked. He suspected that Shui Er was deliberately withholding information and decided to provoke it a bit. "I thought you knew everything! Such a trivial question..." Yu Tian intentionally dragged out his words.
The Water Demon Wolf, having never experienced worldly society, remained quite innocent and unaware of any schemes. Naturally, he could not allow anyone to look down on him. Not long ago, the Demon King had entered his body by exploiting this very flaw, promising only to occupy a small part of his body to regain strength while also agreeing to grant Shui Er explosive power. However, little did he expect that as soon as Shui Er agreed to let the Demon King reside within, its consciousness would be confined.
Even after going through such an experience, Shui Er still hadn’t learned its lesson. Just like me, I never expected a classmate from school would ask for my help and then give me counterfeit money. It’s hard to express how frustrating that is; all I could do was cut off contact afterward. Human hearts are difficult to gauge—how accurate that is!
"I'll explain this well to you, you who knows nothing..." Shui Er suddenly stopped and sat down on the ground. "In this area, all spaces are very viscous; when information disperses, there is significant loss. So even our life-and-death struggle appears to the Elemental Gods as nothing more than a stumble. Otherwise..." Shui Er began drawing circles in the dirt with its paw but abruptly stopped explaining, as if there were something unspeakable.
"Hey? You big wolf, why are you suddenly shy?" Yu Tian squatted down and patted Shui Er's head; its only tuft of hair had already grown back.
"...Otherwise, I would have sought help from those old men long ago... Otherwise, how could I have embarrassed myself!" Shui Er's voice grew quieter, seemingly blaming itself for its inadequacy.
"It's fine, it's fine... I don't blame you at all! You did great. If I were in a situation like that, I'd also think of asking for help!" Knowing that Shui Er was worried about losing face, Yu Tian added, "You're my brother. Even if you're a historical pig, I'll still treat you well!"
"Really?" Shui Er didn't quite understand what being a pig meant, but the tone in Yu Tian's voice was encouraging.
"Of course it's true! Now can you take me to the next destination?" Yu Tian patted Shui Er on the head. Shui Er let out a low whine, suddenly jumped up, and ran off.
Yu Tian shook his head and laughed as he chased after him.
Fortunately, there was no dew here; Yu Tian's clothes were clean, and Shui Er's fur was shiny. The two of them—one person and one wolf—were racing across the vast grassland, with only these two creatures moving in the expansive area.
After about a few minutes, they arrived at a grass hut.
Although the hut was simple, its structure had the characteristics of being warm in winter and cool in summer, which is why it remains popular even on Earth today.
"I wonder how those old men managed to get these things..." Yu Tian looked around the hut but found nothing particularly special. "It seems that the Earth Elemental Realm is just a quiet garden!"
Cautiously, Yu Tian stepped into the grass hut, only to find it empty inside.
"It turns out it was just for show!" Yu Tian chuckled. "This Earth Spirit must be very lazy."
"Yes!" Shui Er sent a message back. "Every time we Water Demon Wolves come here, we have to help him with his tasks!" Shui Er's paws were restless as they scratched at the dry grass in the hut.
"You guys didn't resist him?" Yu Tian curiously looked at this Wolf King. With so many wolves, if they all banded together to cause trouble, even the strongest mage would have no way to deal with them.
"He's really powerful; his defenses are unbreakable!" Shui Er seemed a bit unconvinced but still spoke honestly.
"Is he really that strong? I wonder what he'll test me on?" Stepping out of the grass hut, Yu Tian still saw nothing unusual. As far as he could see, there were various plants as tall as a person stretching endlessly before him. However, the lack of animals made this backyard feel somewhat lifeless.
"Young man! Come in quickly!" Yu Tian heard a strange voice, presumably from the Earth Spirit. He returned to the grass hut, noticing that Shui Er had disappeared into the bushes at some point.
As soon as Yu Tian entered the hut, he was greeted by a sweet fragrance. It turned out that the Earth Spirit was playing with a flower crown. Sitting on a mud platform, dressed in brown clothes, he wore a cheerful expression.
Seeing Yu Tian enter, the Earth Spirit straightened up and said, "Young man! You've obtained the Qiankun Pearl, that's good! But this time it might be a bit difficult! You need to be quick on your feet. First, set up this grass hut for me. You won't be able to accept the formal test until I'm satisfied!"
"Isn't this the formal test?" Yu Tian thought, but the Earth Spirit had already vanished.
In the Six-Dimensional Realm, beings with powerful energy were formless. It was clear that this Earth Spirit was a top-tier expert, but his sudden appearances and disappearances left Yu Tian feeling disoriented, as if he were in a horror movie.
Yu Tian frowned, "Back home, I had a robotic butler to help with chores. But now… well…" A smile broke across his face as he retrieved a simulation computer from his backpack and inputted some data.
Moments later, a design blueprint appeared, and the materials were quite simple.
"After a thousand years, I came back to take a look and didn't expect such great changes. You've got this little thing… hmm…" The voice of the Earth Spirit drifted in from nowhere.
Yu Tian thought to himself, "He wouldn't go back on his word and make me redo it, would he?" Without the aid of electronic devices, this battle enthusiast wasn't particularly skilled at arranging rooms.
Fortunately, the Earth Spirit continued, "I'll let you off easy this time!"
