Otherworld is a special space that transcends the universe, filled with wondrous things, such as the Water Demon Wolf that can communicate telepathically and sentient elements. It is also a place full of challenges. Yu Tian stepped into Otherworld to pursue his dreams and accept the trials from the primordial spirit. Shui Er, the Water Demon Wolf, clashed with the Water and Fire Divine Pearl, but it seemed that something else intervened in this battle.
“Shui Er! Stop!” Yu Tian shouted as he rushed forward, but Shui Er showed no response and continued to entangle with the Water and Fire Divine Pearl. “Don’t blame me!”
Little Ru was summoned by Yu Tian, and a blue glow immediately illuminated the space. Deep down, Yu Tian felt uncertain; he didn’t know if this wolf’s true strength was far beyond his own. If that were the case, no amount of strategy would be useful, just like when he fought using advanced spacecraft alongside Slicky.
“Demon Wolf's Heart! Devour all!” Shui Er roared again.
“No! Demon King… can you not come after me?” Yu Tian halted his movements, his hand frozen in mid-air. That was once the Demon King who briefly controlled him, but now he was controlling another powerful being—the Water Demon Wolf King.
“Hmm? How did you know my identity?” Shui Er suddenly stopped, turned around, and bared sharp teeth while scratching its head with claws.
“How did I know? I also know your original name is Lichki, a member of our divine race who betrayed us and sought to annihilate us!” Yu Tian shouted angrily, his father’s white bones flashing through his mind.
“You’ve regained your memory? How could I not know?”
“Memory? What the hell do I care about memories? I only know you are my enemy. As for anything else, I won’t tell you.” Tears welled up in Yu Tian’s eyes as he gritted his teeth. He wasn’t thinking too much; he had long felt that he would eventually face this moment, just not so soon. He hadn’t truly regained his memory; he had merely experienced a story while following clues in search of Otherworld.
This was during the prosperous era of the Prehistoric Magical Civilization. Unexpectedly, tremendous changes occurred on Earth’s surface, all so suddenly. There were very few mages capable of entering space without needing oxygen to survive. For the continuation of their entire race, many mages volunteered to seek new homes. To stay longer in the universe, they took all large flying creatures with them and slaughtered some meat birds—mainly the dinosaur clan.
Finally, after decades of searching, they found Kadar Planet. However, after relocating there, land disputes began. The dinosaurs and other animals brought along mutated and developed complex relationships with humans during their migration, leading to the emergence of beastmen and Half-Orcs. Naturally, human mages looked down upon these monsters and prepared to eliminate them. Yet at that time, the second most powerful mage in the magical world, Lichki, turned against humanity, taking several confidants with him to help establish a demon realm for the beastmen to oppose humanity's divine realm.
The Lichki was the one hiding inside Yu Tian. It was during the incident at the temple with the Memory Crystal that he first sensed something unusual; this was it.
"An enemy? If you want to be my enemy, you might not be worthy!" Water stood up, wrapping her claws around herself, temporarily ignoring the Water and Fire Divine Pearl.
"That depends on how my Little Ru responds!" With that, Yu Tian lifted Little Ru above his head, infusing it with more energy.
"Very well! Let me show you the true power of the Water Demon Wolf..." As she spoke, Water began to run, employing the same tactics she used against the Water and Fire Divine Pearl to confront Yu Tian. As her speed increased, a more powerful energy barrier emerged.
"Is this to prevent me from escaping?" In truth, Yu Tian's heart raced. If this truly was a time-space barrier, then he had fallen into one of the thirty-six stratagems—the best one at that. Remembering his battle with Slicky made him feel somewhat ashamed; however, sometimes success required stepping on failures as a foundation.
At that moment, the Demon King did not respond to Yu Tian's question but only accelerated further. Yu Tian worried whether Water's body could withstand such a tremendous burden. If his momentary anger led to this little brother's demise, he would feel guilty. Water had already vanished from visible space, completely transforming into a swirling white line. At the same time, the white line expanded as if something was struggling to break free.
"Perhaps I should take the initiative! I hope it won't harm Water!" Yu Tian thought as he continuously strengthened the energy he poured into Little Ru. The blue and white lights intertwined, creating a dazzling space.
"Master, let me help you!" Out of nowhere, the Water and Fire Divine Pearl appeared before Yu Tian, swirling around him like a magical artifact in an erratic dance.
"Are you ready?" Yu Tian assumed that after being pressured by the Demon King, the Water and Fire Divine Pearl would be severely weakened. It wouldn't be right to let it fight in his place.
"Don't worry... As long as you live well, that is my purpose for existence!" The Water Elemental Pearl expressed its true feelings. It was indeed born from Yu Tian's benevolent heart. Its purpose was to protect its master from harm; thus, it would have to begin fading from consciousness in this chapter and become a pearl with only observational abilities and some power.
Water, possessed by the Demon King, had truly lost her rationality and completely relinquished control of her body. However, Yu Tian had yet to see what exactly the Demon Wolf's Heart was, which also motivated his choice to fight.
"Since you want to see so badly... then let me show you!" To his surprise, the Demon King had connected with his thoughts through Water and had planted a backdoor in his mind from the very beginning. This left Yu Tian feeling quite passive. "I know all your magic well; I've studied it for a long time. So don't think you can use your existing magic against me... that would just be a waste of time!"
At that moment, "Shui Er" suddenly came to a halt, stirring up a whirlwind, while the white shadow continued to circle around Yu Tian. It was a remnant of energy.
"Demon Wolf's Heart... answer my call and manifest in this world!!!" Shui Er's mouth opened slightly, uttering a series of strange words. At the same time, her body began to change; the originally pure white fur of the upright wolf started to shift to black, an evil color. It was clear that different colors represented different energies and forces. The black now emerging hinted at the Demon King preparing to invade Shui Er's source of spiritual power.
Bang, bang, bang... The surroundings suddenly fell silent, and all Yu Tian could hear was the sound of his own heart beating.
