Slicky was feeling quite pleased with himself, ready to eliminate the last remaining heir of the God of Black Holes. However, just as he was about to unleash the energy gathered in his right hand, a wisp of light blue smoke emerged, obscuring his vision and temporarily numbing his senses.
When his awareness returned a few seconds later, Yu Tian and the Saintess had vanished.
"Damn it! They managed to escape at the last moment... Unbelievable! Even if I have to dig three feet into the ground, I will find you both!" Slicky thought that Yu Tian must have used some kind of drug to incapacitate him before fleeing.
In truth, as a high-ranking member of the demon clan, he had once come to Earth alongside the God of Black Holes for training, but that was centuries ago. Back then, he had no choice but to accompany Yu Tian's father to a mysterious location to gain greater power during an era of peace. However, Lichki had no idea they had gone to Earth or that a teleportation array existed; in his mind, it was merely a barrier that opened once every few thousand years.
After leaving the ruins of the temple, Slicky spent some time wandering through the vast divine realm before returning to the demon realm.
In the garden where he had previously conversed with the Saintess, he sat with Hong, sipping on a beverage made from something called tea leaves.
"This tastes quite good. I initially thought it was just something simple for medicinal purposes!" Slicky increasingly felt that his son held significant potential for utility. He envisioned helping him achieve great things in the future so that he could inherit his position and avoid attacks in his final days.
"Yes... in the place I used to stay, this is considered a leisure product... uh, leisure means relaxation," Hongrilkqi explained certain terms while chatting with his father.
"Oh, we should treat it as a special gift in the future. Never reveal its true nature; let’s consider it a sacred plant!" Slicky was certainly calculating; this way, he could use it to win over many Tribe leaders or cultivate numerous spies, building an unmatched force before being discovered.
"Understood..." Hong was adept at reading his father's mood and harbored ambitions of his own; he too wished to conquer the universe. Because of this, he kept many secrets about Earth’s civilization hidden from Slicky.
"Alright, prepare yourself. We need to search this demon realm thoroughly. If we can't find them, we will invade the demon realm! No matter what, we must locate those two!" Slicky's excitement surged again as bloodshot eyes gleamed with determination.
"Yes, I'll take care of it immediately!" Hong had just recovered but was now at peak condition thanks to a Healer's energy replenishment—he felt even stronger than before.
Slicky reminded his son about several matters before heading off to handle political affairs in the Half-Orc Territory at the council hall.
Meanwhile, Hong led a large group of Beast Soldiers in a carpet search around the demon realm. He hoped to find them but also harbored a desire for them to remain hidden.
Eventually, Hongrilkqi and his formidable team arrived at the edge of the Demon God Barrier. They set up a Breaker; four simple Magic Catalysts were arranged in a formation that pierced into the barrier. Over ten War Beast Spirit Masters activated their magical energy within them, unleashing dozens of purple energy blasts into the Breaker.
Within the space surrounded by the "Breaker", a colorless barrier revealed blue energy waves, but it only trembled slightly before shattering. Before the energy source dismantling device developed by Hong, this lifeless energy barrier was utterly powerless and fragile.
After receiving permission from his father, Hongrilkqi leaped forward. Except for the War Beast Spirit Master, the other Beast Soldiers followed him in. This was their first operation under the leadership of the Young Master, and they were naturally obedient to this future king.
Hongrilkqi divided the Beast Soldiers into three teams, leading one himself directly toward the temple indicated by Slicky, while the other two teams began searching from different directions. Although they had a large number of soldiers, conducting a thorough search was still quite challenging. Only small-scale, careful searches were feasible, and another limiting factor was that the climate of the divine realm was different from that of the demon realm at night.
These Beast Soldiers were also Incompatible with the Environment...
Hongrilkqi swiftly executed the Demon Clan Secret Technique, arriving at the temple ahead of the Beast Soldiers. Standing before the temple was indeed a grand undertaking.
Compared to what he had seen in the Lunar Museum, it was truly incomparable! Though constructed with ancient materials and designs, its grandeur surpassed that of any skyscraper made of Metal Material.
He felt a bit nostalgic for those days without these memories, when life was comfortable and joyful. Now, friends had become enemies. Time is often cruel, and fate is like a mischievous child!
"Sigh..." Hongrilkqi exhaled deeply and rushed into the temple.
Descending several hundred meters, he still hadn't reached an end. It seemed to be an engineering feat that required little manpower or resources; such brilliance could only be achieved through sheer numbers. Only the strong conditions of the divine race could create such magnificent architecture; it was different for the demon race, which only had its palace as its best achievement.
Hongrilkqi retreated, finding a team of Beast Soldiers waiting outside.
"Fire Beast! You take a team down with me; the others can search around."
The leader was the Fire Beast, which had a red horn on its forehead. It nodded, selected seven Beast Soldiers, and organized the rest. Leading them into the temple, they descended thousands of steps until they finally reached an end.
Hongrilkqi released a beam of purple light that illuminated the entire underground area.
However, there was no path or opening to be found.
Hongrilkqi searched along the walls and discovered several small holes, thinking he had found a mechanism. However, after trying many methods with Fire Beast and several Beast Soldiers, they still had no clues.
He felt a deep sense of frustration.
In truth, he also wanted to return to the Solar System to take a look. After all, having stayed there for so long, some memories were impossible to erase.
Everyone paused, and Hongrilkqi showed great respect for his subordinates. Powerful beastmen like Fire Beast and Fire Dragon Beast were willing to serve him.
"That's enough for today; there will be more opportunities in the future!"
The Beast Soldiers understood that the divine realm was not a place they could stay in for long, and one by one, they filed out in order.
Hongrilkqi found himself lost in thoughts of happier times.
Fire Beast approached and asked, "Young Master, what's wrong?"
"Nothing!" Hongrilkqi's voice was barely above a whisper, as if he were talking to himself.
Fire Beast shook his head slightly and did not press further.
