The sky was faintly tinged with red as Lin gently woke Yu Tian from his slumber. Leaning close to his ear, she softly said, "Hurry up and get ready! We have a lot to do today."
Yu Tian shook his head to clear his mind and leaped out of bed, rummaging through his wardrobe for clothes, all of which were new and high-end. As he looked at the garments, memories of Jason flooded back to him, and he recalled that day vividly:
A group of robbers had fled to an Interstellar Port and seized a fortress. The local police and officers were powerless against such a fortified position.
At that time, he, Jason, and Reynold were at the Super Clothing Store on that planet, selecting formal attire. Yu Tian had initially planned to pick a mid-range outfit casually, but Jason had been chasing after some pretty girls, running around without buying anything at all. The attendant following them was starting to lose patience.
Just then, a warning alert echoed throughout the planet.
The store descended into chaos, but fortunately, a plump Executive appeared in a hologram just in time to calm the frenzied crowd.
Of course, hearing that there was something to be done spurred them into action. Ignoring the attendant's relentless pursuit and even her later outbursts, they dashed out of the mall toward the nearest police station.
They weren't seeking refuge; they simply hadn’t brought any weapons with them.
After a series of verifications by high-ranking military officials, the police chief respectfully provided them with three sets of the most advanced weaponry.
Though it was like comparing heaven and earth to what the military had, it was still quite impressive for those who had sought shelter in the station: one police-specific Memory Alloy Bulletproof Suit, one set of Mechanical Tools, two Laser Emitters, and one Particle Emitter Gun. Once they donned their gear, they hopped into a luxurious floating sedan belonging to an unknown wealthy individual and sped toward the fortress at the port.
Little did Yu Tian know that the businessman later auctioned off his car for a hefty profit.
The three of them arrived at the port with an air of cool confidence, breaking through the police barricade. They spotted Yu Tian, fully armed, and the ordinary officers looked on enviously at his gear.
Jason certainly didn't miss the chance to show off, constantly smiling or blowing kisses to the female officers who sent him flirtatious glances. What had initially been a tense scene quickly became lively.
There were nearly twenty bandits in total, and after fighting for so long, they should have been exhausted. However, they discovered the armory inside the fortress.
The Planet Leader had originally hoped to engage in a protracted battle until the enemy surrendered.
Of course, this was a last resort; the military had already dispatched a small team for support.
"Big Brother, let's take them all out together! Whether we split it or take it all, the losers have to bleed!" Jason's voice echoed persistently.
"Alright, alright, let's go for the take!" Yu Tian waved his hand. "But this time, no killing. We can only disable them. If anyone dies, we'll lose ten spots. Be careful!"
"That's so dizzying?" Jason shook his head but nodded in agreement, reluctantly accepting. After all, he had called others 'brother' so easily.
"Okay, it's a deal!" Reynold chimed in, maintaining his indifferent expression. The serious situation made him earnest; it couldn't be called indifference.
"Then comrades, let’s fight for justice!" Jason declared as he pushed Yu Tian forward, with the police gradually advancing behind them.
They were merely curious about why these few fearless individuals were leading the charge.
But that was better for them!
The bandits saw someone openly provoking them, and they were intermittently striking back!
