“Reynold completed several tasks beautifully after you left and was included in the Outstanding Guardian Ice Protection Program. He even went to the black hole last time. As for Jason... it is said that he sacrificed himself during a mission... otherwise, this guy wouldn’t have gone so many years without coming to the Technology Department to check on me,” the doctor spoke softly, knowing this would be a blow to Yu Tian. Although Jason was quite carefree, he always treated Yu Tian like an older brother, unlike Reynold's cold demeanor. They had never quarreled; whenever there was a hint of conflict, Jason could always successfully diffuse it. The bond between Yu Tian and Jason could truly be described as that of real brothers, with only the difference of not sharing the same mother.
A sharp pain struck Yu Tian's heart as he softly murmured, “He sacrificed himself!”
He seemed to see that lively young man again, smiling as he said, “Captain! I want to become a big shot like you in the future!” Yu Tian sighed, “You’ve already achieved that!” The smiling face gradually faded away...
“Yu Tian, don’t worry! His wish has been fulfilled. The opponent during that mission was a powerful individual who aimed to assassinate the Earth’s Administrative Director. He chose to go down together with him; the Cosmic Solar System Joint Chairman personally delivered a eulogy at the memorial service.” Hearing this, Yu Tian felt a slight comfort amidst his sadness. “I didn’t expect the world to change so quickly after just one mission!”
“Indeed! To respect the laws of nature, we cannot freeze everyone in time; many have been lost in the river of time! But Jason was already married and had a son at that time. It’s strange; all of Jason’s descendants are sons. Perhaps it’s truly his soul being reborn!” Dr. S's gaze continued searching for moving objects outside the window; stillness made his thoughts sluggish, and he had to do this to delay his decline as much as possible. He knew he had become an ordinary human.
“Hey, this kid is indeed something! Since you have descendants now, I’ll treat them just like you. Doctor, please tell me their current address later!” Yu Tian’s interest was piqued again.
“Sure—however, you should tell me about the results of this plan first!” Dr. S became serious as he came out to meet Yu Tian. He still had a task: to gather information that Yu Tian claimed could be obtained. As for Yu Tian returning to Earth, that news couldn’t be kept under wraps; surely the government headquarters and military headquarters were already aware of it. Regarding subsequent work, if they were to handle it, Yu Tian felt somewhat uneasy.
“Well... I’m not sure how to start; I can only briefly introduce what I know about the Kadar Black Hole!”
Yu Tian began recounting—
The Kadar Black Hole is divided into two distinct areas: one called the Demon Realm and the other called the Divine Realm. A powerful barrier separates these two regions, and currently, the entire Divine Realm is a vast plain. However, far from the Demon God Barrier lies a range of mountains towering thousands of meters high. Even spacecraft find it difficult to pass through; satellites can only detect many clouds above but cannot ascertain what lies beneath. Therefore, Yu Tian named it Divine Vein, believing that this area is likely where his kin reside and is also where finding passageways is most challenging. Initially, due to drastic changes in circumstances, Yu Tian lost the energy to search for clues regarding passageways.
Then there’s a spring in the Divine Realm that mysteriously forms a stream across the prairie; this stream flows down into the foothills of Divine Vein. There is a mountain on this plain—not too high—but adorned with many beautiful trees. This was where Yu Tian sought energy ores; he was too rushed at that time and didn’t have time to appreciate its beauty, but now he recalled it as incredibly beautiful.
He also recounted tales of that mysterious cave in the forest and that magical stone. While he knew little about conditions in the Demon Realm, he was certain it was an unstable place; that Beast King seemed merely a lord who held some leverage.
“Is that all? You don’t know anything about the Demon Realm at all? You really don’t need to hide anything from me—” Dr. S became engrossed in listening and wanted to learn more about this planet. This plan also shattered another hypothesis: black holes are not passages connecting to another universe. Perhaps they are merely ways for certain advanced civilizations to conceal themselves; if that's true, Earth might also become a black hole in the future. Most importantly, that planet's Divine Realm is suitable for human habitation; establishing a base there would be feasible. Other planets could also be quickly transformed into habitable environments for humans; one sun on Kadar Planet is at just the right distance for development and evolution.
“The Demon Realm is quite desolate; however, those ugly creatures having such a place to live is good enough,” Yu Tian said with evident anger; he despised how that Beast King had kidnapped Lin.
“Well, regardless of anything else, your outfit won’t do anymore; just wear this combat suit back home—Lin is waiting for you at your house! Don’t look at me like that; we’ve cleaned your house thoroughly and repaired your spacecraft as well—just didn’t upgrade it without permission because we were afraid you wouldn’t adapt. Everything is just as it was when you left!” Dr. S still cared for Yu Tian deeply; if Lin and Hong’s family business hadn’t been forcibly requisitioned by the government, he would have taken care of them similarly. However, everything was beyond his perfect control.
We can only control this indivisible moment of now; our past and future cannot always act according to our thoughts. What we can control belongs to us, while what belongs to others cannot be fully controlled by us.
"Is it really that simple? Heh, Doctor, your thinking is quite advanced!" Although Yu Tian wore a satisfied smile, his heart was quite complex. We can control inanimate things, but what about my companions? What about life itself?
We are powerless and useless when faced with life; we cannot control it. Even if we think we have control, it is merely an illusion. Everyone must remember! The only thing we can control is this very moment; let’s live each day as if it were a lifetime! You will understand something!
"Doctor! I should head back! Goodbye!" Without waiting for a response, Yu Tian spoke first.
"Alright! Haha, let's chat next time! Lin said she would tidy up your place; you should be returning to a comfortable home this time! Us big men can't do that as well as you can. You rascal!"
"Then I'm off!" Yu Tian set down his cup and stood up.
Dr. S also stood up. Yu Tian smiled and walked out, "Make sure to seize the opportunity, Yu Tian!" Laughter from the doctor echoed behind him.
Yu Tian did not turn back when Dr. S suddenly asked loudly, "Why hasn't Hong returned?"
"He’s from the Demon Realm; he won’t come back! If he were to return, it would mean an attack on the Solar System!"
The doctor caught up and handed Yu Tian several documents:
1. Learners must inherit the excellent genes of their predecessors;
2. Consciousness training enhances brain cell activity and brain vitality;
3. When reaching a certain activity limit (DOL0·537+), high voltage will occur at the extremities; bringing hands closer or having higher energy levels will produce high-pressure discharge phenomena;
4. Strong currents shatter air particles, resulting in mass annihilation; according to Einstein's mass-energy equation, an equivalent amount of energy will be released;
5. Energy is confined within the electric field arc and continuously attracts new energy;
6. The internal particles move at the center of the electric field, constantly being accelerated. If their speed approaches the speed of light, a materialization phenomenon will occur.
7. The intermediate substance of energy and matter, known as Yako (or "string"), can transform under special circumstances.
8. Yako's form is determined by its speed, decay rate, and degree of aggregation, carrying an electric charge of one trillionth of an electron.
9. Energy clusters or materialized bodies can be released under the user's control.
10. Particles within the energy cluster move at the speed of light and will not be captured unless there is a spatial rift.
This was his summary based on the latest theories, but Yu Tian simply skimmed through it without looking back.
The doctor was astonished and stopped, while Yu Tian continued walking.
He thought about the past and present, which could vanish in an instant. Some things should be remembered forever, right? Eternity? Surely nothing is eternal!
I don't want to just write a story; I want readers to gain something from it. Perhaps some might say I'm neurotic for not writing novels with the same emotional flair as foreign literature. But I merely hope to provide some insights—we must learn to cherish what we have; we should not give up. I won't!
