Not long ago, the missing Beast King met his target—Saint Lin Pua.
In a garden no larger than a hundred square meters, many peculiar creatures from the demon realm gathered. However, amidst this vibrant environment, there was a white figure.
The well-fitted white apron resembled an angel's wedding dress, remaining spotless even after such a long period of turmoil. Despite being under constant surveillance, when she learned that someone had risked their life to save her, her spirits lifted immensely.
Standing on the small pebble path, Lin gently brushed her hair, the black strands shimmering like polished gold. Don't assume that people here don't need to bathe or change clothes; they manage to stay clean. If it weren't for her enemy instructing his subordinates to "take good care of her," Lin believed she wouldn't have been so at ease, able to quietly wait for her beloved to rescue her.
Suddenly, a strange bug jumped onto Lin's black shoe, startling her and causing her to break into a light sweat. Despite its unappealing appearance, she crouched down to observe this peculiar little creature.
It was a creature known as the Snake Frog, its body a rather dull shade of green, indicating it wasn't very poisonous. Its frog-like head and snake-like neck were slender, while its body resembled that of a toad, covered in small bumps that occasionally opened and emitted sounds. This was due to its respiratory system consisting of tiny bubbles on its body rather than the large mouth used for digesting food. And those four legs were worryingly thin. How did it support such a hefty body? It seemed it had endured quite a bit of hardship and was now treated as a plaything.
Lin felt a twinge of sadness as she looked up at the sky confined by walls, filled with a longing for freedom. She sincerely wished she could go outside and spend all her time with Yu Tian instead of merely pining for him without daring to act.
"I must hold onto her tightly and never let her go!" Lin regretted believing the words of her false brother and wronging Yu Tian, which led to the current perilous situation.
Two large-mouthed crickets jumped from the leaves and hid within them. Lin heard footsteps approaching.
What was meant to come would always arrive.
Not long ago, it was a Tiger Beast that brought her here to wait for their king; she hadn't expected him to arrive so soon.
"Saint! How have you been lately?" Before she could see him, Lin heard the voice suppressing violence.
She had yet to meet him.
It was by choice.
Initially, she harbored hostility towards this father-son duo and even contemplated mutual destruction. However, sensing they had not truly harmed her—only extracting a small amount of blood on the day they arrived—she found they had been treating her well ever since.
That's how people are! A little kindness can easily make one forget everything else.
"I'm doing well!"
Lynn's response was simple. At that moment, she caught a glimpse of a massive figure emerging from behind the large pine tree at the corner of the road. She never turned around, only using her peripheral vision to observe this mysterious and detestable person.
"That's good! You must have heard that the young man from the divine clan came to rescue you!" It was strange; this enemy referred to Yu Tian as a young man rather than using any vulgar insults.
"I see. You must have thoughtfully sent someone to inform me," Lynn said, taking small steps forward, her feet pressing into the soft underbrush as her hand brushed against the tender leaves.
"Hahaha???" Slicky laughed heartily, and to Lynn, it seemed like a genuine smile. The two fell silent for a moment, with Slicky keeping his head held high, gazing at the sky.
"What do you want from me?" Lynn was growing impatient. She only knew that this Beast King had confronted Yu Tian directly but still did not know whether Yu Tian was alive or dead. She hoped she wouldn't hear an answer she dreaded; she was confident she wouldn't. She could sense the anger hidden beneath her enemy's facade, which would not surface until after he killed his opponent. Yu Tian was safe; she kept reassuring herself until she finally felt at ease.
"I need your help with something! But it might be beneficial for you too!" Slicky revealed an unusually faint smile.
"What is it? My life is in your hands anyway; do whatever you want!" Lynn felt a bit disheartened. She finally understood the helplessness of having her life controlled by someone else, reminding her of the ongoing animal rights movement within the Galaxy System.
"Why always talk about life and death? I want to take you to see your Yu Tian!"
"What exactly do you plan to use me for against him?" Lynn worried that the Beast King would use her as a hostage, and then...
She dared not think further.
"Don't worry! My son said to let you both go!" The Beast King lied.
"It’s him?" Lynn fell back into a whirlwind of confusion about love. It was that guy who caused her to end up like this, and now he was coming to offer a favor—there had to be some grand scheme behind it all, she thought.
At that moment, she wanted to bite her tongue and end it all; she didn't want to drag Yu Tian down with her.
"Yes, all you have to do is watch us fight! I won't kill him!" Slicky spoke firmly, as if making a promise.
"Fine! As long as you don't harm Yu Tian; otherwise..."
"That's settled then. Come with me!"
A beam of light enveloped Lynn, protected by a small barrier. As time and space compressed, she felt herself shrinking...
The fear of death propelled Yu Tian to leap off the ground at nearly the speed of light, riding the wind as he appeared behind the Unicorn. However, before he could steady himself, a massive tail swept toward him.
Instead of dodging, he charged directly at the giant tail. As it came within reach, he made a short jump and landed on the Unicorn's back. At that moment, Yu Tian felt a surge of gratitude for the intense training from the Anti-Violence Squad.
He kicked its back once, leaving no mark. However, this startled the Unicorn. A sharp claw came crashing down, and after several high jumps, he narrowly avoided the attack.
He had now reached the back of that enormous horn.
Gathering energy in his legs, Yu Tian prepared to kick at the horn.
A giant claw swept toward him again. Seizing the opportunity, Yu Tian jumped up just as another massive tail swung by, allowing him to evade it successfully.
"Wow!" Just as Yu Tian was about to unleash his Gale Technique, he realized that his elemental energy had been suppressed. This was a significant blow to him; he had initially believed he could successfully launch a surprise attack, but now he found himself drained of energy.
There was no time to hesitate; he had to take one last gamble!
Suddenly, Yu Tian thought—
What method would Yu Tian use to defeat this formidable Unicorn? Would the hidden Slicky make an appearance? What shocking scene would unfold next? Stay tuned for the next chapter—
