In order to rescue his beloved Lin, Yu Tian ventured alone into Beastman Village. Little Ru faced off against Hongrilkqi. As a Divine Dragon warrior, he used the power of Dragon Soul to defeat Hong, but just at that moment, Hong's father—Slicky—appeared.
Yu Tian looked up and saw that the figure was indeed Slicky. What deep-seated hatred! The grudge of killing his father, the vengeance for his mother, all were irreconcilable enmities that made Yu Tian's blood boil. The stone fragments beneath him were crushed into powder by the force he unleashed, and his eyes dimmed slightly.
"Son, you go back with Blazing Beast first. I've already called for Healer to be in your side hall," Slicky said clearly to the panting Hong without turning around. Immediately, a red figure swooped down from the sky, unfurled a raincoat, and flew away with the injured Hong towards Beastman Village.
"Are you the Beast King?" Little Ru broke free from his initial mental terror and regained his composure.
"Indeed! I never expected that your Dragon Clan hasn't been exterminated by us yet; your vitality is truly remarkable! If I don't eliminate you today, how can I justify the ancestors you killed in the past?" Slicky's movements were swift, and Little Ru could only watch as he shifted from right in front of him to behind him.
Before the dragon head could even turn halfway back, it was struck heavily.
"So it's just a soul! But you've hurt my son so badly; I will make you pay double!" Slicky quickly turned to Little Ru's back and plucked a scale from his dragon hide, causing Little Ru's body to sway violently.
For Little Ru, who was merely a soul, each dragon scale represented a fragment of his spiritual power—memories and energy from the past. If all were plucked away, he would surely perish.
"No! Big Brother, hurry and save me!" Little Ru thought of his desire to revive and establish a kingdom for dragons; he didn't want to die here.
Receiving the message, Yu Tian was rushing across the ground, but the journey was anything but smooth. Many magical beasts suddenly launched surprise attacks. Although Yu Tian quickly blocked their assaults, precious time was lost—exactly what Slicky wanted.
Little Ru prepared to escape but found himself trapped by Slicky's barrier. At this point, less than half of his dragon scales remained.
"Big Brother, hurry up! Little Ru can't hold on much longer! Should I say goodbye forever?" Yu Tian sensed that the message had weakened significantly.
"I’m coming, Little Ru! You have to hold on; you are the Wish Staff!" Yu Tian suddenly unleashed his energy, shaking off the dozen or so magical beasts surrounding him. With a flurry of attacks, he eliminated more than half of them before they could regroup.
"Mind Dragon! In the name of the God of Black Holes, gather the power of the contract and break through the blockade!" Taking advantage of the moment, Yu Tian began to chant, significantly increasing the attack power of his magic. Sure enough, with just one Mind Dragon, all the nearby magical beasts were turned to ashes.
"Gale Technique!" A special airflow appeared behind Yu Tian, lifting him into the sky as he soared towards Little Ru.
"Hehe, Son of the God King—oh no, I mean the new God of Black Holes—you're back? Did you think I would let you go like last time?" Slicky turned around, his eyes slightly widening as he glanced at Yu Tian before continuing to search for Little Ru's dragon scales that were scattered around.
"Dimensional Break—Time-Space Rift!" Yu Tian extended his hand and pressed it against the barrier.
A white light burst from his palm, causing the entire barrier to tremble. After a piercing scream echoed through the air, the barrier was torn apart by the ruptured space. The disconnected barrier dissipated. Little Ru flew towards Yu Tian without hesitation and then merged into his arms. From what he understood, this Yu Tian had quite a strong life force.
"Hah, nothing too impressive!" Although Yu Tian hadn’t fought Slicky directly, Little Ru’s dire state indicated that his energy was not low.
"You’ve hurt my son so badly; it’s time to show you some color!" Slicky floated up and summoned an even larger Black Dragon. The massive Demon Dragon was over three hundred meters long.
Yu Tian cast a Light Shield around himself just in case.
Slicky rode his Black Dragon toward him, flames spewing from its mouth.
"Wind, Earth Element, use your powerful defenses to block the demon's invasion—Infinite Defense!"
"Water Element, counter the evil flames!"
Yu Tian unleashed a series of intermediate spells, merely trying to buy time to find a flaw. However, he remained vigilant; he noticed that Little Ru had intentionally exposed a weakness to lead Hong into a trap, and as he fought alone, failure was not an option.
"Ha! Is that all you've got?" A column of water surged toward him. "Infinite Defense" was raised, but Slicky showed no sign of fear.
The flames collided with the barrier of "Infinite Defense," causing it to tremble slightly as it seemed to hold. Yet from within the fire, a dragon made of flames emerged, breaking through the protective wall and charging at Yu Tian.
"Kasida - Mokaris!" With no other options left, Yu Tian resorted to the advanced spell he had just learned from the Divine Canon, which consumed mental energy.
A sharp arrow appeared before him, and Yu Tian waved his hand. The arrow shot toward the black dragon with a tremendous roar. The Black Dragon vanished, slain by Yu Tian, its remains reduced to ash.
"Kasida - Lismara." Another incantation completed, and a giant eagle appeared, diving toward Slicky and entering his body.
A series of squeaks emanated from within him, but he quickly responded with a sneer.
A dark shadow suddenly flashed in front of Yu Tian, landing a punch on his back. Soon after, another blow struck his chest, forcing Yu Tian to stagger back several steps. The speed was overwhelming; despite Yu Tian's skills, he couldn't match it. If he didn't escape, death was certain.
Yu Tian took a second to adjust himself.
"Wind Element, unleash your destructive power to eliminate obstacles—Dance of the Wind!
"Fire Element, use your flames to vanquish the demons—Dance of Fire!
"Lightning, Light Element, use your strength to repel the enemy—Thunderlight!"
"Earth Element, use your powerful defense to block the enemy's attack—Earth Shield!"
"Water Element, protect me with your resilience—Song of Water!"
Five beams of light shot up into the sky, five-colored pillars reaching far into the distance. The brown beam formed the Earth Shield, while the colorless water element surrounded him.
Slicky appeared, rushing towards the three beams of light. He was pushed back, and Yu Tian laughed. After all, these were five advanced spells from the divine race.
But the ground began to tremble again, and a Mushroom Cloud rose up. A shadow flew out from within, holding a black staff made entirely of Energy Stone. He floated in the air, and I ascended several hundred meters as well, with the Earth Shield rising alongside me.
Slicky suddenly vanished again. Yu Tian heard the sound of the Earth Shield being struck from behind and turned around. The sound of impacts echoed all around before fading away shortly after.
"Flame Tiger, Water Dragon...!" To buy himself some time to escape, Yu Tian unleashed a series of minor spells.
Each spell collided with Slicky but vanished without effect—not even causing a tickle.
However, Yu Tian did something dishonorable; he took advantage of the situation to cast a large Time Teleportation Magic array and stepped inside, disappearing.
Please don’t blame the protagonist for fleeing! When faced with overwhelming power, retreating is a sign of wisdom. As for where Yu Tian went? Whether he was pursued or not will be revealed in the next exciting chapter!
