In the previous chapter, the mysterious machine was mentioned. However, within the powerful barrier, Hong Likqi noticed the change in his father's expression but said nothing.
At that moment, five hundred Demon Slaves were transporting the massive "World Breaker," slowly moving toward the barrier.
Although it was just a prototype, Hong Likqi felt confident. His "World Breaker" was constructed using a large number of components based on physics and a special magic known as "Crystal Sand." The large arms could be used to remove the resistance of the barrier. Those crystal shards were peculiar useless items, yet they could absorb any energy they touched. Thus, what was once trash had become something valuable.
Seeing his masterpiece being brought in, Hong Likqi wore a proud smile. He quickly mounted his Demon Dragon and flew over to urge the transporting Demon Slaves. Upon seeing him, they expressed no complaints and quietly quickened their pace.
In fact, their method of transportation was the most primitive wooden wheel cart. It took Hong Likqi half a month to teach them how to build it, so it was inherently slow. Yet, as he continued to urge them on, those Masters used their weapons or magic to attack any who moved too slowly.
From high above in the sky, Hong coldly observed everything. It seemed their fate was always meant to be this way—serving as slaves for life.
With the efforts of the Demon Slaves, the "World Breaker" was brought to the edge of the barrier, and soon after, they were hastily pushed aside by their Masters.
Hong Likqi moved closer immediately, and his father followed. The various magical beasts and Demon Slaves looked at the massive pile of wood and stone before them with curiosity and confusion.
It was a giant machine over fifty meters tall, with four probes at the front capable of piercing into the barrier. Utilizing Crystal Sand, it aimed to absorb energy in order to create an opening in the localized barrier. At the back were support devices and many complex components covered by wooden blocks.
"Prepare to activate!!!" Hong Likqi shouted loudly as below, the Demon Slaves worked together once more to drive the probes of the "World Breaker" into the Demon God Barrier.
As the barrier surrounded by those four probes began to shake violently, it gradually thinned out until it burst like a bubble.
S. Rikkichi was stunned, but overwhelming cheers drowned him out.
Then came waves of magical beasts charging forward wildly.
Underground Barrier Boundary.
"This is great, but father...!" He hesitated no longer and stepped out of the Dream Barrier. Outside was a large hole created by the residual energy of the Divine Soul Pearl, slanting upwards to the surface.
He walked forward with determination, not looking back.
Yu Tian had no time to think further when the ground beneath him began to shift, and the stones above started to move. Then, they began to fall wildly. Stones crashed down onto the barrier he had created, making a crunching sound.
What he did not know was that his father had not escaped earlier solely to wait for him. He had once used a life prophecy to foresee that Yu Tian would come here, which is why he chose to stay.
"Great King of the Gods, grant me strength!" As he uttered the incantation, a massive magic circle appeared.
Yu Tian awakened Little Ru, channeling energy through it into the Teleportation Magic array.
"Whoosh!" With the sound of space-time distortion, Yu Tian vanished from the chaotic depths below.
Moments later, he reappeared outside the lonely Mother Ship.
Yu Tian entered, finding it completely empty inside.
He searched for a long time but still found no sign of Lin.
Yu Tian meticulously scoured every corner but found no traces of a struggle. However, Little Ru keenly sensed two residual energy signatures in the area; one belonged to Hong Likqi, but he could not identify the other.
"Little Ru" insisted on exploring thoroughly. Last time, because Yu Tian was upset, it obediently stayed behind and did not come out. Soon enough, it was granted permission and began to flit around inside and outside the ship.
At this moment, Yu Tian was still unaware of Lin's identity as a "Saintess."
After searching carefully several more times without any results, Yu Tian realized that Lin must have been captured. Judging by the residual energy, the culprit was none other than his former teammate—Hong Likqi. However, he could not discern the source of the other energy signature and concluded that Lin had been taken by someone from the demon realm—people brought by Hong—aimed at capturing him. Yet he did not consider that Yu Tian, having ventured into Beastman Village, inadvertently led them to take Lin as well.
Thinking of this, Yu Tian couldn't help but feel a bit worried. Hong must believe that he was dead, and as for Lin, who was being used as leverage, she would surely be in danger!
Without hesitation, he rushed to Lin's cabin. He began searching for any useful information and soon discovered a box. It was exquisitely crafted from a special stone, looking nothing like the craftsmanship of the Galaxy. Moreover, it was hidden beneath a pillow in a concealed groove. It seemed that something important was stored inside.
However, his heart was in turmoil. He couldn't help but worry about Lin; it pained him deeply. The only thing he could do now was to study magic diligently, prepare for a duel with Hong, and no matter what, he had to rescue Lin.
Despite his resolve, Yu Tian's heart ached painfully. He didn't realize when he had become infatuated with that lively and gentle girl.
Yu Tian carefully placed the box into his Dimensional Space and then pulled out a bundle, cautiously opening it. Inside was a staff, and as soon as he unveiled it, the head transformed into Yu Tian's likeness. Engraved in magical script were the words "Divine Race Staff," a relic left to him by his father, though he had no idea how effective it would be.
With a mindset of experimentation, he reached out toward the staff. Suddenly, an intense heat radiated from it before he even touched it. The force of resistance was strong; he instinctively withdrew his hand and shook it off.
"Why does my father keep such good things from me?" Yu Tian muttered as he wrapped the staff in cloth and placed it back into Dimensional Space for safekeeping. Anyone could tell it was undoubtedly a treasure; otherwise, why would there be such protective measures?
Thinking of S. Rikkichi, such a formidable opponent, Yu Tian sighed, "I should practice magic after all!"
He retrieved the book from Dimensional Space and began to flip through its pages carefully. There was actually a lot of content; he had just skimmed through too quickly last time and overlooked much.
Suddenly, Yu Tian stumbled upon an intriguing spell...
The next chapter would reveal this spell—a mysterious magic that seemed to promise immortality. But could it really be that simple? Was there some painful price to pay? Would Yu Tian choose it? The classification of magic levels would also be disclosed. Remember, this is our shared world; before the protagonist makes his choice, leave your thoughts behind—they might change his fate! This is merely my first work, just a way to train myself. Please don't have too high expectations; your guidance is welcome. Feel free to save this for later!
