Facing the abandoned attack on Thor, Chen Fan turned towards the approaching Hulk. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he waved his hand, unleashing a bolt of lightning that was thinner yet far more concentrated than before, aimed directly at Hulk.
This was a black lightning bolt, solidified as if it were a tangible substance. Even Thor, the God of Thunder, felt his pupils constrict when he saw the black lightning flash by; it was a type of elemental lightning that even he could not control.
The Lightning of Death, also known as the Lightning of Destruction.
Under this black lightning, the world fell silent. The rampaging Hulk ceased his fury, his massive body giving off the scent of charred flesh.
A gust of wind blew through, and several retching sounds emerged from hidden buildings, one after another.
“Chen Fan… you’ve killed someone… ugh… you’ve killed a monster!” Monster Teacher exclaimed, his mouth agape, his slick head completely drenched in cold sweat.
He was terrified; the black lightning was truly horrifying. It wasn’t just half a street that was gone; the entire street had vanished.
Ignoring Monster Teacher's ramblings, Chen Fan soared into the air. After wielding his powers, he could fly briefly even without 007's assistance. He descended slowly from above and looked at Thor. “Now it’s time to deal with you!”
The black lightning in his hand crackled with energy, each pulse sending shivers through those who beheld it.
“Human… who exactly are you?” Thor's expression darkened, a mix of anger and fear swelling within him. He sensed a presence—a resentment that only arose after a god's death—and this resentment was embodied in the young figure before him.
This question piqued the curiosity of everyone present.
At this moment, Chen Fan showed no signs of concealing his appearance.
On the ruined street, beside the charred giant form of Hulk stood a boy around ten years old, swirling black lightning in his hands. To everyone watching, it seemed impossible that someone who could so easily subdue New York's demolition worker Hulk could be anything other than human!
“Have you heard of the Godslayer?” Chen Fan glanced at the Hulk beside him, relieved to see his slightly heaving chest.
The fate of the Hulk was of little concern to him, but the destruction caused earlier had damaged several Kitch stores, and someone had to take responsibility for that.
“Godslayer... such a forbidden title!” Thor's eyes twitched. He didn’t know what a Godslayer was, but from the name alone, he understood it referred to someone who killed gods. He smiled coldly, “So, you’ve come to kill me?”
“Exactly!” Chen Fan nodded decisively, a smirk forming on his lips. “Did you think I came here just to chat with you?”
Thunder roared as dark lightning surged.
In front of countless gazes, the boy standing beside the giant suddenly manifested a massive blade of lightning in his hand. In an instant, the blade slipped from his fair grip and pierced through the chest of the muscular man.
Thor's expression stiffened as he looked down at the flickering lightning blade embedded in his chest, a grim smile creeping onto his face. “I am the God of War! And also the God of Thunder! Those who dare to kill me shall await the wrath of the Norse Pantheon!”
If it weren’t for Divine Power sealing him, how could he have been so easily slain—
With immense resentment boiling within him, Thor’s eyes glinted with a chilling light as he stared at that youthful face.
The dissipating Thundercloud began to gather rapidly; Electric Serpents danced wildly, and fierce winds howled. A massive beam of light descended from the center of the Thundercloud, enveloping Chen Fan's body.
Meanwhile, Thor, with the lightning blade piercing his chest, remained standing as his form quickly faded away. In an instant, only two golden orbs of light remained suspended in midair.
They symbolized the divine roles of war and agriculture.
What divine position would he receive?
Under the hopeful gaze of Chen Fan, one of the orbs flew toward him and instantly merged with his body.
At that moment, Chen Fan also understood what his second power was—
Thor, the God of Thunder in the Norse Pantheon, was in charge of both war and agriculture. After slaying Thor, the divine authority he obtained was—Abundance!
With the power of Abundance, whenever Chen Fan wielded it, he could control the growth of plants over vast distances. As long as he wished, he could become a human form of Golden Fertilizer; wherever he went… that place would become a land of Abundance.
However, Chen Fan felt frustrated; this ability was utterly useless!
As one of the few super-rich individuals in the world, even without inheriting that immense fortune, Chen Fan wouldn’t be poor enough to farm!
While Chen Fan was feeling downcast, a surge of black mist suddenly erupted from where Thor had vanished, enveloping him in an instant. Yet his Godslayer physique and Curse Power remained unaffected, allowing the black mist to coil around him.
“Is this Thor’s curse?” Feeling the strange elements mixed within the black mist, Chen Fan deduced its true nature.
Soon, the anomaly dissipated, and the thunderclouds parted to reveal warm sunlight. However, where the sunlight shone was a scene of devastation; it was chilling. Among the collapsed buildings, aside from wails of agony, crimson liquid flowed.
Looking at the countless figures beside Hulk's massive form, many glared with anger. Yet after locking eyes with that dark purple gaze, everyone lowered their heads and trembled in fear.
It was terrifying; it felt as if looking any longer would lead to their own demise.
The feeling left everyone speechless, sitting dazed among the ruins, with only the wails in their ears and the scene before them keeping their minds alert.
To the gazes filled with hatred and anger, Chen Fan chuckled lightly, showing no intention to explain. If they wanted to watch the spectacle, they should keep their distance; otherwise, dying here would be in vain.
"Chen Fan... did you kill that god?" Monster Teacher appeared before Chen Fan. As a cold-blooded killer, countless lives had fallen at its hands; what lay before them was merely a scene.
Faced with Monster Teacher's curious gaze, Chen Fan did not respond. A hint of fatigue crossed his face as he waved his hand. "Koro-sensei, take me back to the villa. I'm feeling a bit tired; let me rest before we talk!"
The moment Thor's divine power merged into his body, Chen Fan felt an overwhelming fatigue. He understood the reason for this state: the newly acquired powers needed sleep to integrate, and his body was undergoing a second transformation.
A transformation towards something inhuman.
After all, this was the first god he had slain with his own hands. Although he had taken advantage of Thor's moment of weakness, he had still killed him directly.
As Monster Teacher led Chen Fan away, the crowd at the accident scene finally snapped back to reality. They looked at the street now reduced to ruins, and a chorus of angry curses erupted.
After venting their frustrations, their gazes turned toward the figure lying not far away—the green monster—
