Tang Hao'er ran far without noticing Zhao Jun's movements nearby. She hurriedly stopped and turned around, only to see Zhao Jun not only staying put but jumping onto a rock, raising his gun at the helicopter that was diving towards them. In an instant, Tang Hao'er understood that Zhao Jun was trying to attract the enemy's attention to allow her to escape safely. 0

"What an idiot," Tang Hao'er muttered in a rush as she raised her AUG and aimed at the pilot's window of the helicopter, firing a shot. 0

Influenced by her grandfather, Tang Hao'er had always enjoyed playing with guns. Old Tang's greatest hobby was hunting; he would go to the hunting grounds several times a year to satisfy his craving for shooting. Tang Hao'er was Old Tang's most loyal follower, honing her marksmanship to a level comparable to that of a sniper. 0

The shot she fired hit the front window of the helicopter's cockpit. Although it didn't hit the pilot, it startled him enough that he instinctively jerked the control stick, causing the helicopter to climb sharply. 0

The bottom of the helicopter was the strongest part of the aircraft, effectively blocking most direct shots from weapons. The pilot's reflex was to protect himself, but by the time he remembered to warn the bandits in the cabin, it was too late. Two bandits who were sitting at the cabin door and firing outside suddenly lost their balance and screamed as they fell out of the cabin, with Charlie nearly being thrown out as well. 0

At a height of twenty or thirty meters, those two bandits had no chance of survival after being tossed from the helicopter. 0

"Dammit!" Charlie cursed fiercely as the pilot wiped cold sweat from his brow and stabilized the aircraft. Once Charlie and the other bandits regained their composure, they raised their guns and began firing wildly at Zhao Jun on the rock. 0

Zhao Jun quickly jumped down from the rock and sprinted away in the opposite direction from Tang Hao'er, firing several quick shots at the helicopter as he ran. 0

The bandits' guns spat fire as they chased after Zhao Jun. They had never suffered such a significant loss before; despite having complete advantage, they had already lost three men—one shot dead by Tang Hao'er and two who had fallen from the helicopter. This debt would certainly be placed on Zhao Jun and Tang Hao'er for their ambush. 0

Zhao Jun dashed into the dense forest but dared not pause for even a moment. He moved like a monkey, leaping and bounding through wherever the trees were thickest. 0

Seeing Zhao Jun exposed under the helicopter's pursuit, Tang Hao'er quickly raised her gun and fired several shots at the spotlight on the helicopter's nose. 0

If she didn't take out that spotlight, Zhao Jun would remain visible to the bandits and getting hit would just be a matter of time. 0

Surprisingly, Tang Hao'er's marksmanship was significantly better than Zhao Jun's. Although Zhao Jun also attempted to shoot down the spotlight but missed several times, Tang Hao'er managed to shatter it with a single shot. 0

The forest below the helicopter was suddenly engulfed in darkness as Zhao Jun let out a sigh of relief and hurriedly concealed himself behind a rock. 0

Charlie and the others, in a frenzy, swept their weapons towards the spot where Zhao Jun had just been, causing branches to fly and stones to scatter. However, the forest was now silent. 0

After circling above for a while, the helicopter crew randomly fired downwards again. Frustrated, Charlie ordered a return to base. 0

Hearing the sound of the helicopter fade away, Zhao Jun took a deep breath and emerged from his hiding place. 0

Tang Hao'er quickly ran over from another direction, calling out Zhao Jun's name as she approached. 0

Zhao Jun waved at Tang Hao'er and shouted, "Hao'er, I'm over here!" 0

Tang Hao'er rushed into Zhao Jun's arms, panting heavily. She punched him lightly on the shoulder and scolded him playfully, "You scared me to death! Are you hurt?" 0

Zhao Jun grinned and checked himself, saying, "I should be fine." 0

Earlier, while being chased by the helicopter, he had been scratched by branches and bumped against rocks. Even he wasn't sure if he had sustained any injuries. 0

Tang Hao'er carefully examined Zhao Jun and confirmed that he was unharmed. She stood up and playfully patted his shoulder, saying, "Not bad, partner. I'll reward you for your performance." 0

With that, Tang Hao'er stood on her tiptoes and planted a loud kiss on Zhao Jun's lips. 0

Zhao Jun was both amused and bewildered. He pulled Tang Hao'er closer and said, "I saw two people fall from the helicopter earlier; let's go check it out." 0

Tang Hao'er nodded in agreement, raising her AUG as she followed Zhao Jun towards the direction where the bandits had fallen. 0

The two unfortunate souls were indeed quite unlucky, having been shaken down from a height of twenty or thirty meters by the helicopter, landing on the ground lifeless. However, their equipment and ammunition had conveniently fallen into the hands of Zhao Jun and Tang Hao'er. 0

Charlie and his crew abandoned Zhao Jun and Tang Hao'er, hastily flying back to Bandit Nest. Before they even reached their destination, they saw figures rushing out from Bandit Nest, scattering into the surrounding woods. 0

"Damn it, the hostages are escaping! Stop them!" Charlie shouted, frustration evident as he raised his gun and fired at the shadows running below. At that moment, he wasn't concerned about shooting the hostages; Fortune Island was vast enough that as long as these people remained on the island, they would eventually be captured again. He merely wanted to fire a few shots to drive the fleeing hostages back into Bandit Nest. 0

Charlie thought this way, but his subordinates, seeing him shoot at the fleeing figures, quickly raised their guns and began firing as well. A storm of gunfire erupted, accompanied by screams from those below. 0

"Stop shooting! Don't hit them! Fire to drive them back!" Charlie yelled urgently as he saw some of the figures fall to the ground. 0

It was only then that the bandits on the helicopter realized Charlie's intention, but it was too late; among the fleeing crowd below, several people had already collapsed in pools of blood. 0

Yang Bing, who was hiding in a corner and exchanging fire with the bandits, heard the roar of the helicopter approaching. He quickly sprang up, clutching his wound, and ran toward the nearest wall. 0

The searchlight on the helicopter had been shattered by Tang Hao'er, leaving Charlie unable to see what was happening inside Bandit Nest. All he could clearly see was a once-impenetrable wall that had been breached, with most of the hostages escaping through this gap. Even now, many were rushing toward it in a desperate attempt to flee. 0

The terrain here was flat, so Charlie ordered the helicopter to land directly at the breach. Before it had even stabilized, he jumped out with his men, guns raised, charging toward the opening like wolves. 0

Seeing the helicopter block their escape route, those who hadn't managed to flee from Bandit Nest screamed and turned to run in other directions, searching for another way out. 0

With bloodshot eyes, Charlie was the first to rush into the gap, roaring as he shouted, "Damn it! Get them all back! Shen Kun, if you're not dead, get over here now! What on earth happened here?" 0
