Yang Bing swiftly darted behind a large tree, his hands drawing back as he aimed to capture the figures of the bandits. He shouted loudly, "You inside, come out quickly!" 0

They had already crowded by the window when Yang Bing and Shen Kun stepped out of the room. Seeing Yang Bing engaged in a struggle with the bandits had sent them into a panic. At the sound of Yang Bing's call, someone instinctively flung open the door and rushed out, heading straight for the next room. 0

The bandits had not locked the 'prison'; they merely secured the door with an iron bolt from the outside. If someone inside wanted to break out, it would be impossible unless someone opened it from the outside. However, opening the door from outside posed no difficulty at all. 0

In fact, when Zhao Jun and Tang Hao'er ambushed the Bandit Nest, those held captive in the 'prison' had already been alerted. Now, as chaos erupted in the courtyard and more people rushed to open the door, those trapped inside surged out like headless flies. Yet some cowered in corners, too frightened to move. 0

With the captives pouring out of the 'prison', the already chaotic Bandit Nest descended into further disorder. 0

The entire Bandit Nest was in disarray; Yang Bing was engaged in combat near the main entrance while the Chicken Dinner Players hesitated to run in that direction. Instead, they flocked toward the nearest wall, which collapsed under the weight of too many climbers. 0

With a breach created, the Chicken Dinner Players, resembling headless flies in their frenzy, rushed toward it as if it were a lifeline. The desperate bandits turned their guns toward this opening and fired wildly, screams echoing through the air. 0

Shen Kun crouched behind a stone platform, covering his rear as he frantically waved his hand at the bandits shooting at the fleeing crowd. "Stop shooting at hostages! Just take down that guy named Yang!" 0

A gunshot rang out from somewhere nearby, striking a stone platform just an inch from Shen Kun's head. Startled, he recoiled and shouted, "Who the hell shot at me?" 0

"You're just full of nonsense," spat one of the bandits who had fired at Shen Kun. He quietly redirected his aim toward Yang Bing's hiding spot and fired again. With his nonchalant demeanor, who could have guessed he had just shot at Shen Kun? 0

In mere moments, Yang Bing's cover behind that tree was riddled with bullet holes. He grimly realized that despite so many people escaping, not one had come forward to join him in battle. 0

During the initial exchange of fire, Yang Bing had managed to kill or injure about ten bandits while they were caught off guard. Now that they had regained their composure, he felt an overwhelming pressure; he was single-handedly facing off against a dozen opponents and barely had any strength left to fight back. Nevertheless, he had bought time for others to escape as more people climbed over walls or fled through the breach. 0

It was time for him to leave as well; if he didn't act soon, he might miss his chance to escape. 0

Taking advantage of a lull in gunfire, Yang Bing quickly leaped behind a crumbling flowerbed wall. With one hand on the ground for support, he sprang up again and fired two shots at a pursuing bandit before sprinting toward a row of houses that were closest to him. 0

"Kill him, damn it, hurry up and kill him!" Shen Kun, who had been closely watching Yang Bing's movements, shouted frantically as he jumped out and lunged for the weapon of a fallen bandit nearby. 0

Yang Bing turned around and aimed his gun at Shen Kun, who had just leaped out from behind the stone platform. With a loud 'bang', the sound of the firing mechanism echoed as his Assault Rifle clicked empty. At that moment, Shen Kun had already grabbed a weapon and was lying on the ground, firing a shot at Yang Bing. 0

Yang Bing's body jolted as he fell to the ground. He rolled over and took cover behind a wall, using his arm to hold the Assault Rifle while pulling a fresh magazine from his waist with a swift motion. He loaded it with a click, racked the slide, and spat out, "Damn it, your aim is pretty good." 0

Seeing that he had hit Yang Bing, Shen Kun jumped up excitedly, gripping his gun as he rushed toward where Yang Bing had fallen. He called out to the other bandits, "Damn it, come with me! Let's capture this one first!" 0

Yang Bing raised his Assault Rifle with one arm and fired a three-round burst at the approaching Shen Kun. 0

Shen Kun let out a scream as he fell to the ground. The two bandits running behind him were startled and quickly sought cover, firing wildly at Yang Bing's concealed position behind the wall. 0

Charlie, who was already near the mountain top, heard the gunfire erupting behind him. He peeked out of the helicopter cabin toward the direction of the Bandit Nest. In the darkness, he could see trails of bullets flying everywhere in the Bandit Nest. Startled, Charlie shouted to the bandit piloting the helicopter, "Turn back! Get us back now!" 0

The helicopter made a strange noise as it flew in a wide arc and dove down toward the mountain. 0

Meanwhile, Zhao Jun and Tang Hao'er were running through the forest when they also heard the dense gunfire coming from the Bandit Nest. Zhao Jun's expression changed as he suddenly stopped in his tracks and jumped onto a rock for a better view of the Bandit Nest below. 0

Tang Hao'er climbed up beside Zhao Jun on the rock and asked curiously, "Zhao Jun, what's happening down there? Why are they shooting at each other?" 0

Zhao Jun frowned and shook his head. "I don't know, Hao'er. You should head back to the cave while I check it out." 0

"No way! I'm going with you," Tang Hao'er insisted stubbornly. 0

Zhao Jun glared at her. "This is an order, not a discussion." 0

Tang Hao'er paused for a moment and then grabbed Zhao Jun's arm, shaking it. "I'm just worried about you! Look how good their aim is; maybe they can help you!" 0

Zhao Jun felt a throbbing headache, yet he found himself at a loss. 0

No, Tang Hao'er’s marksmanship was indeed far superior to his. Just moments ago, he had used an AUG equipped with a scope, while Tang Hao'er wielded the less accurate AK. However, not a single shot from Tang Hao'er had missed; every bullet fired found its target. 0

At that moment, the helicopter that had just flown past them roared back into view. Zhao Jun quickly turned, yanked Tang Hao'er down from the rock, and shouted, “Hao'er, don’t worry about what’s happening below. Hold off the enemy’s helicopter and prevent them from sending reinforcements. Hurry!” 0

Tang Hao'er responded with an “Oh” as she raised her weapon, aiming at the returning helicopter. Zhao Jun seized her AK and thrust the AUG into her hands. “Your shooting is better; use this scoped one.” 0

Tang Hao'er flashed a grin at Zhao Jun. “So you finally admit I’m useful.” 0

With that, she fired a shot at the helicopter descending from the mountaintop. 0

Charlie leaned out of the cabin door, anxiously scanning for Bandit Nest when a gunshot rang out. A bullet whizzed past his head, narrowly missing him, while one of the bandits standing behind him screamed as he clutched his chest and collapsed against Charlie's back. 0

“Damn it!” Charlie roared, shoving the wounded bandit aside. He raised his weapon and fired a burst of bullets toward where the muzzle flash had appeared moments before, barking orders at the pilot, “Fly over there!” 0

The helicopter immediately changed direction, heading toward Zhao Jun and Tang Hao'er’s hiding spot. 0

Zhao Jun fired two shots before slapping Tang Hao'er on the shoulder. “Split up and run!” 0

Tang Hao'er fired once more before quickly getting to her feet and sprinting backward. 0
