It was certainly a good thing to be able to call for help from the outside world, but Zhao Jun and the others knew very well that since the kidnappers had chosen this location for the abduction, seeking assistance would not be an easy task. 0

Zhao Jun reached out and patted the tear-streaked face of Li Wei. "Li Wei, every decision we make now concerns our safety and that of those trapped inside. We can’t afford to take risks, but before we do anything reckless, we need to think things through carefully. We can't make even the slightest mistake; one small error could cost us our lives, and we can't afford that." 0

Li Wei, his face flushed, coughed lightly. Zhao Jun felt he might have been too serious, so he smiled at Li Wei and said, "You’ve already got Jiang Rui; I’m still single here. I really don’t want to kick the bucket this early." 0

"Bah!" Li Wei spat back at Zhao Jun without hesitation. "You just enjoy yourself! You’ve snagged the biggest prize in all of China. If it weren't for me dragging you along to this chicken dinner... Damn it! If I had known it would turn out like this, I wouldn’t have spent eighteen thousand just to join this event!" 0

Zhao Jun chuckled as he picked up a few empty water bottles and handed them to Li Wei. "Stop complaining. Since we’re here, let’s make the best of it. Hurry up and fill these bottles with water for storage, and try to gather more. If we run out of fresh water at some point, we’ll be in deep trouble." 0

Li Wei took the bottles and got up to leave. Cheng Zhengxiong looked at Zhao Jun and said, "I didn’t expect you to be so meticulous." 0

Zhao Jun smiled back. "What can I say? I’m responsible for a bunch of kids; I have to think ahead to avoid any unexpected situations." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong chuckled. "Yeah, today’s kids are more troublesome than ever, and their parents are even harder to deal with. We should be careful." 0

The two continued sorting through their supplies on the ground. The medical kit and blankets they had collected were proving useful, and Zhao Jun had brought back the toolbox from the helicopter, although it wasn’t much help at the moment. They were still lacking basic necessities; their situation was dire—worse than Robinson Crusoe's. 0

After checking everything, Li Wei returned with water. He placed the filled bottles on the ground and said to the two of them, "The tide is starting to go out." 0

Zhao Jun turned his head to look outside; it was getting dark but not completely black yet. 0

"Let’s go take a look," Zhao Jun said as he stood up and grabbed his AUG, heading toward the cave entrance. 0

Tang Hao'er had set her clothes by the campfire and followed with her AK in hand, looking at Zhao Jun as she asked, "Are we going out?" 0

Zhao Jun glanced at the sea water cascading down the cave entrance and said, "We still need to wait a bit longer. The lowest tide occurs when the moon rises and sets. Once the cave entrance is exposed, we can head out and take advantage of the first low tide to bring in more supplies." He turned to Li Wei and added, "I plan to go observe the area near Bandit Nest shortly. Do you want to come with me before the second low tide?" 0

Li Wei twitched his lips and shook his head defiantly. "Sure, let's go and deal with them." 0

Zhao Jun chuckled lightly. "Actually, you don't have to come if you don't want to. If you stay behind, you can gather some firewood and food nearby. When the second low tide hits, we can move everything in together. If time permits, you could also check out the helicopter wreckage on the mountain to see if there's anything useful we can salvage, like metal sheets. We could use those to make a pot for cooking, which is really important for us right now." 0

Li Wei sighed in relief and nodded. "Alright, I'll head up to the mountain then." 0

Zhao Jun nodded in agreement. "We'll go together later. You collect supplies while I head straight to Bandit Nest. If you hear gunfire, retreat immediately and don’t try to assist me; it could lead to friendly fire." 0

Li Wei nodded in understanding. Cheng Zhengxiong pulled out a Desert Eagle from his pocket and handed it to Li Wei. "Take this for protection. I won’t hold back; I’ll be helping Su Mei and Sister Tang move things from outside the cave." 0

Receiving the Desert Eagle seemed to bolster Li Wei's confidence as he grinned. "This arrangement sounds good..." 0

Tang Hao'er tossed her head defiantly. "I don’t want to be a pack mule; I want to go with Zhao Jun to Bandit Nest." 0

The others looked at Tang Hao'er, then at Zhao Jun. She threatened Zhao Jun, "If you don’t take me with you, I’ll go on my own. I need to rescue Brother Yang and the others." 0

Zhao Jun sighed in resignation. "Fine, you can come with me, but..." 0

"All actions will follow orders," Tang Hao'er chimed in cheerfully as she hugged Zhao Jun's arm, putting on an innocent facade. 0

Zhao Jun shook his head with a wry smile before turning his gaze back toward the cave entrance. 0

The group retreated back to the campfire and waited a little longer; most of the dark cave entrance was now above water. 0

Zhao Jun stood up and slung his gun over his back, addressing the others, "Get ready to move out. Da Xiong, handle it as you see fit. If you can't take it, don't push yourself." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong smiled, "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing." 0

Zhao Jun nodded and strode toward the cave entrance. As he lifted his foot to step into the water, Tang Hao'er hurriedly called out to him, "Hey, take off your clothes before going in. Put them back on once we’re outside. Wet clothes sticking to your body will affect your movement." 0

Zhao Jun knew all too well that wet clothes were not only uncomfortable but would also hinder his actions. However, with Su Mei and Tang Hao'er present, he felt embarrassed to strip down. 0

Seeing Zhao Jun's awkward expression, Cheng Zhengxiong chuckled, "Zhao Jun, what are you hesitating for? Sister Tang is right; wet clothes might affect your movement. This isn't a party; you don’t need to dress like a nobleman. No one will care if you take off your clothes. Just hand them to Sister Tang to hold onto, and put them back on once we’re outside." 0

As a respected teacher, Zhao Jun was not accustomed to being naked in front of others, and his face flushed with embarrassment. 0

Li Wei chimed in with a grin, "Exactly! It’s hard enough to dry your clothes; getting them wet again isn’t worth it. Just take them off; we’re all adults here. It’s just taking off clothes—it's not like it's anything scandalous, heh heh..." 0

As he spoke, Li Wei had already unbuckled his belt and started removing his shirt. 0

Noticing Li Wei's mischievous gaze lingering on Tang Hao'er and Su Mei, both girls felt their faces heat up. 0

Determined, Zhao Jun reached for his belt and said to Tang Hao'er, "You hold my clothes for me; I'll carry you out." 0

Tang Hao'er blushed and nodded in agreement, thinking to herself, You’re not really going to make me strip too, are you? 0
