Seeing Yang Bing teach Ye Tong a lesson, Li Wei felt more comfortable than eating ice cubes in the scorching summer. He exaggeratedly clapped his hands a few times, but when he noticed Zhao Jun didn’t join in, he turned to him with curiosity. 0

Li Wei saw Zhao Jun staring intently at Yang Bing and suddenly exclaimed as if he had discovered something new, “Right, Zhao Jun, you grew up in a Military Compound, didn’t you? Even if you haven’t served, you must have more experience than the rest of us. Why don’t you take on the role of team leader?” 0

Zhao Jun, caught off guard by Li Wei pulling him into the conversation, kicked Li Wei in frustration and waved his hands at the onlookers, saying, “Everyone, don’t listen to this kid’s nonsense. Although I grew up in a Military Compound, I’ve never been a soldier and have no real combat experience. I only joined this group because this kid dragged me along.” 0

The people around burst into laughter; growing up in a Military Compound had nothing to do with being a soldier or fighting. 0

As everyone continued to discuss potential candidates for team leader, Shen Kun jogged over with a big smile, waving tickets in his hand. “The paperwork is done! Everyone gather your things and follow me; it’s time to board.” 0

The plane took off again. This time, Tang Hao'er sat next to Yang Bing and was still trying to charm him with her persuasive tactics. 0

By the time the flight attendant came around with meals at dusk, Tang Hao'er finally gave up her efforts after feeling parched. 0

It was strange; no matter how she tried to persuade him, the seemingly easygoing Yang Bing refused to agree to be the leader of their China Team. When pressed too hard, he simply stopped talking altogether, as if the iPad in his hands was more captivating than Tang Hao'er’s beauty. This left Tang Hao'er feeling somewhat frustrated as well, and the matter of selecting a leader for the China Team fell through. 0

Tang Hao'er switched seats to sit next to Li Wei since he was her best friend’s boyfriend, and they had some common topics to discuss. 0

The flight dragged on monotonously over the vast ocean. Ever since taking off from Hong Kong Island, they had been flying over endless waters; outside the window were only white clouds and sea, with hardly any ships in sight. The passengers were growing drowsy. 0

After enduring more than ten grueling hours of travel, they finally landed at Seda Island International Airport just before midnight. 0

Feeling the hot tropical sea breeze, everyone enjoyed a hearty late-night meal on Seda Island. Shen Kun then led them onto a bus heading toward a small airport, cheerfully informing everyone that they just needed to hold on a little longer before reaching their destination. 0

This time, the people boarded a military transport plane. Shen Kun explained that there were no direct flights to the nearest island, and the airport on the island could not accommodate large aircraft. Everyone had to make do with the transport plane. However, Shen Kun smiled and reassured them that flying on a military transport would allow them to get a taste of what it felt like to "drop into battle." 0

Now that they were here, who cared what kind of plane they were on? Exhausted, the passengers wearily climbed into the transport plane, which roared to life with a deafening noise as it ascended into the blue sky once again. 0

Riding in a military transport was far from comfortable compared to commercial flights. After more than two hours of turbulence, some of the wealthy passengers could no longer hold back their complaints. 0

Zhao Jun, however, was doing well. After everyone had boarded the transport, he asked Shen Kun about the estimated flight duration and then found a corner to grab something to cushion himself before lying down comfortably. He cheerfully beckoned Li Wei over to join him. 0

Li Wei shook his head with a wry smile at Zhao Jun. "You go ahead and sleep; I'll just sit." 0

Li Wei wished he could find a place to lie down and get some restful sleep too, but in front of so many high-status individuals, he couldn't bring himself to lie down like Zhao Jun. 0

Little did Li Wei know that while the other wealthy guests mocked Zhao Jun's behavior, they secretly envied him. 0

Yang Bing, on the other hand, appreciated Zhao Jun's actions. He understood that conserving energy before the big event was the wisest choice. Although this was just a game, surviving in the wilderness and facing challenges for several days would be physically demanding. Those without special training would surely struggle. 0

However, Yang Bing did not lie sprawled out like Zhao Jun in the cabin. He couldn't sleep; ever since boarding this military transport, he felt as if he had returned to his former military life. 0

Time had passed, and now the people sitting with him on this military transport were a group of carefree young masters who only knew how to indulge in pleasure. He could no longer find those comrades who had fought alongside him in bloody battles. 0

Before his discharge, Yang Bing had served in a special narcotics unit of the armed police force and was even the deputy squad leader of that unit. 0

With Yang Bing's experience, he was more than capable of leading such a "China Team." 0

However, Yang Bing did not dare to take on this heavy burden. 0

He could never escape the nightmare of that encounter with the Drug Dealer. Because of his poor command, seven of his comrades fell forever in the jungles along the border. 0

He was afraid—afraid that if he became the captain, he would make the same mistakes again. 0

If he were the leader of this team and anyone got injured or 'sacrificed,' he would bear a heavy shackled guilt for himself. 0

Thus, he preferred to fight alone. 0

After all, this was just a game; he didn't need to take on more responsibilities for it. 0

In fact, if it weren't for his wife secretly signing him up to get him out for some fresh air and to stop pouring all his energy into work, he wouldn't have even wanted to participate in this 'battle royale' event. He wished he could never pick up a gun again, even a paintball gun. 0

Leaning against the cabin wall, Yang Bing dozed off while lost in thought. Suddenly, he felt a slight sensation of weightlessness and quickly opened his eyes to scan the cabin. 0

At that moment, Shen Kun walked in from the front cabin, looking somewhat excited as he shouted at the swaying Chicken Dinner Players, "Everyone wake up! We're about to land. This is a small airport, so there might be some bumps during landing. Don't panic! Our pilot is an experienced veteran; there will definitely be no safety issues. Just sit tight and hold onto the armrests..." 0

Li Wei kicked Zhao Jun, who was snoring loudly. "Hey, old man, wake up." 0

Zhao Jun jolted upright and rubbed his eyes. "Are we there?" 0

Li Wei laughed as he helped Zhao Jun up. "We're landing soon! Hey, wipe your drool." 0

Zhao Jun quickly raised his hand to wipe the corner of his mouth with his sleeve, feeling a bit embarrassed. 0

He kicked Li Wei playfully and joked, "You dare to mess with the teacher? I’ll make you copy the student code fifty times as punishment." 0

Everyone burst into laughter, and Tang Hao'er, still groggy, lifted her head from where she had been resting on her suitcase and asked, "Have we had breakfast yet?" 0

This made everyone laugh even harder, and the fatigue that had been lingering in the cabin seemed to dissipate significantly. 0

Ye Tong rubbed his sore neck and shouted at Shen Kun, "Hey, Shen, once we land, find a hotel so I can catch up on some sleep. This damn flight has worn me out; I can't go anywhere without a proper place to rest." 0

Ye Tong's words resonated with most of the group, and they began to chime in, urging Shen Kun for arrangements. 0

Shen Kun looked at Ye Tong with a fleeting smirk of amusement. He nodded and explained to the clamoring rich young masters, "There aren’t any decent hotels on this island where we’re landing. Just hang in there a little longer. After we land, we’ll switch to a helicopter and should reach our destination before dawn. I promise you’ll receive the most considerate service once we arrive." 0

"Another flight?" The cabin was suddenly filled with groans, and someone even shouted about wanting to withdraw from the trip. 0

Zhao Jun got up from the floor and sat back in his seat, looking at Shen Kun and asking, "Shen Kun, where exactly is our destination?" 0

Shen Kun smiled and replied, "Mystery Island. Once we get there, everything will be clear. Our company has prepared a big surprise for everyone on the island; you’re sure to have an unexpected delight." 0

Cheng Zhengxiong wrapped his arms around Su Mei's petite waist and chuckled, "No need for surprises; as long as it’s not a scare, I’m good." 0
