Chapter 161 Liuren Cloud Tower
Ji Zichen had not originally intended to use such a method to create enemies; both sides were human, not Demon Beasts. However, the current situation forced Ji Zichen to choose a side, leaving no other option.
This method was not devised by Ji Zichen; previously, The Divine Alliance Under the Covenant had used similar tactics against Demon Beasts. Ji Zichen asked Wei Ye for ten Black King Moths. Although Wei Ye did not understand Ji Zichen's intentions for the Black King Moths, he nodded in agreement.
The primary purpose of the Black King Moth was to drop water from the sky. With the Black King Moths delivering water, the soldiers would not be left defenseless. This idea was indeed conceived by Ji Zichen. However, dropping water did not mean simply placing a large water tank on the back of a Black King Moth; that would be cumbersome and obstructive. The Black King Moth soared into the clouds, and for Man Chengwen, it was the first time being so close to the sky. He excitedly reached out his hand, feeling the thin mist of clouds flowing through his fingers. "I can touch the clouds..." he exclaimed.
Ji Zichen, however, did not share Man Chengwen's enthusiasm. Watching the Five Elements Pearl in her hand grow increasingly bright, she said, "The dark clouds are starting to gather."
Man Chengwen gazed at the light from Ji Zichen's Five Elements Pearl, completely stunned. In that moment, Ji Zichen seemed less like a person and more like a deity to him.
How could an ordinary person control five elements at once?
Man Chengwen forced himself to shake off that thought. Regardless of whether Ji Zichen was human or divine, she was not their enemy.

When they returned to Zhang City, the soldiers sent to deploy the Liuren Cloud Towers had already returned. All the Liuren Cloud Towers were accurately placed according to Ji Zichen's instructions. A few hours passed in a flash, and dark clouds had gathered ominously above. The Cult of the Hall of Malevolence would certainly not be foolish enough to venture into the battlefield without cause. Wei Ye dispatched a bait team; this time, they could not send too few people. They needed to give their opponents a sense of a grand showdown; only then would the Cult of the Hall of Malevolence send an appropriate number of fighters to engage in battle.
The Rain Summoning Artifact was essentially a formation of magical tools. The deafening battle cries shattered the air, mingling with screams on the battlefield. The Zhang City Soldiers moved like a massive machete, cutting through the ranks of Hall of Malevolence Cult, causing them to fall one after another.
As the Zhang City Soldiers neared the center of the battlefield, their formation came to a halt. However, Hall of Malevolence Cult did not understand what was happening and surged forward with overwhelming numbers.
“It’s time,” Ji Zichen whispered to himself. As he activated the Wind Buddha Bead, dark clouds began to swirl above. A fierce wind swept across the battlefield, and soon torrential rain poured down heavily. In an instant, the ground turned muddy. Just as Hall of Malevolence Cult rolled into position at the center of the battlefield, Ji Zichen activated the Thunder Buddha Bead, summoning a bolt of lightning from above.
Then, soldiers wielding Thunder Elemental Artifacts unleashed their own lightning strikes. In an instant, thunder roared across the combat zone, crashing down upon Hall of Malevolence Cult in the muddy water below. Many members fell as if scorched by fire, and all frontline troops from Hall of Malevolence collapsed.
Realizing they had fallen into a trap, the Cult began to retreat in disarray. The sound of horns blared through their ranks, urging a swift charge forward.
Behind the infantry unit, cavalrymen shouted loudly as they surged ahead through the battlefield in search of enemies, leaving no survivors in their wake. The Cult fell rapidly before them.
The cavalry lagged behind because their horses could not be wrapped in cowhide for protection against lightning; they waited until after the storm had passed before rushing forward.
With a momentum like tigers, most Cult members were so frightened that they collapsed on the ground or fled without regard for the cavalry advancing beside them.
"Success! We did it! They are completely stunned!" Man Chengwen shouted excitedly.
Ji Zichen's plan had sent the Cult members fleeing in panic. Ji Zichen thought about how the Arbitrator must be in a frenzy right now; under such a thunderous assault, they would surely be trembling in fear as the team continued to break through the enemy lines.

Zhi cut her off before she could finish. "As long as you bring her back, I can pretend I know nothing."
