Chapter 81: Defeating Seductive Charm
Yuxuan's body was gradually growing cold, and a thought crossed her mind: "As long as the door doesn't open, Third Uncle won't be killed. Death is my only choice." Her gaze fell on Ji Zichen, filled with confidence. "With his abilities, he will definitely be able to escape. Even if he can't kill this monster, getting away should be no problem."
Seductive Charm's claws protruded from her abdomen, and Yuxuan pressed against the sharp talon as she staggered forward. A sharp pain shot through her belly, and her whole body felt like it was cramping. She wanted to keep moving, but the pain had sapped her strength.
Seeing her struggle against its claws, Seductive Charm let out a cold laugh. "Want to die? It's not that easy. Your life is far too precious to this old man and the entire court."
Ji Zichen stepped forward two paces, his voice resonant as he stared directly at Seductive Charm. "When you smile and shake your head like that, it's really disgusting."
Shen Bifan understood that Ji Zichen wanted to stand up for them, but she worriedly said, "Brother Zichen..."
Seductive Charm was well aware of who Ji Zichen was. When it had possessed Zhao Zhangshi, it had heard of Ji Zichen before. It felt no fear from Ji Zichen at all; to it, this monster's form was merely a skeleton.
Noticing that Ji Zichen showed no fear, Seductive Charm couldn't afford to appear weak either. It disdainfully glanced at Ji Zichen and said, "You think you can save someone? An ordinary human trying to kill me is nothing but a joke."
Ji Zichen boldly declared, "You're all so tense about that door. I don't know what's inside, but it sounds like it has something to do with revival. Old man, if I kill this monster, you'll be freed from your cage, right?"
Yukang was taken aback. Although he sensed something unusual about Ji Zichen, he still didn't know how capable he truly was. "That's true, but you..."
Ji Zichen stood firmly between both parties. "I'll get you out for two reasons: first, to repay you for leading us out of the maze; second, once you're out, you need to tell me how to use the Revival Technique."
Yuxuan bit her lip and trembled in pain. "No... you can't... just go..."

Yuxuan's face was flushed, a mix of blue and purple. Ever since she laid eyes on the Seductive Charm, she had been trembling non-stop. It was truly shameful; what kind of trick did this creature have? What did it want?
Seeing Ji Zichen closing in, the Seductive Charm knew it could not afford to be timid any longer. It retracted its right claw, pulling its sharp talon out of Yuxuan's body. Yuxuan cried out in pain, bending over and kneeling on the ground, clutching her abdomen.
The Seductive Charm let out a furious roar, its entire body shaking as its claws lunged toward Ji Zichen. " Ji Zichen! You're seeking your own death!"
The claws came at Ji Zichen with great force. Drawing the Demon-Slaying Sword, Ji Zichen immediately deflected the attack. The claws scraped across the ground, leaving cracks in the surface. Yuxuan, holding her abdomen in pain, warned Ji Zichen, " Ji Zichen... you... you need to leave. You can't hurt it... Its skin and bones are exceptionally tough; my Monster Strength Ring is useless against it."
Yukang gasped in shock. "Even the Monster Strength Ring is ineffective against it?"
Taking Yuxuan's warning into account, Ji Zichen remained unfazed. "So that's how it is; its skin and bones are hard."
Ji Zichen burst into maniacal laughter, his voice filled with wicked energy that shook the stone slabs of the hall and sent gusts of air swirling around. Totemic patterns appeared on his body, and his tall figure radiated an aura of invincible power; he seemed to transform into someone entirely different.
At that moment, a new feeling surged within Yuxuan. She exclaimed in astonishment, "The Seductive Charm is no match for him!"
Ji Zichen suddenly opened his mouth and shouted, "Primal Vortex!"
He thrust the Demon-Slaying Sword forward. The Seductive Charm failed to perceive any danger; it merely saw the sword approaching and sneered, "Fool! Come and die!"
The Seductive Charm brought its claws together, merging them into one massive weapon that was long and sharp enough to pierce through the void itself. As the tip of its claw met the tip of the Demon-Slaying Sword, without warning, a thick layer of black mist enveloped both points. The mist began to swirl violently, forming a large vortex over ten feet wide.
The Seductive Charm felt an overwhelming pressure bearing down on its mind.
Ji Zichen's gaze sharpened as he declared to the Seductive Charm, "You are the fool!"
The vortex spun faster and began to consume the Seductive Charm's claws bit by bit. The creature could feel its limbs disintegrating within the vortex. It screamed like a madman, "What absurd vortex is this! It's destroying my arms! Stop! Please stop!"
As the vortex emerged, everyone present trembled in shock, staring wide-eyed at Ji Zichen. Yukang gaped at him and said, "Who exactly are you? How can you control a vortex like that? It's truly astonishing!"
With gritted teeth, the Seductive Charm yanked its arms out of the vortex, but only half of each remained. In agony, it knelt on the ground holding up its severed limbs in horror. "How... how did you do this? What kind of artifact is this?"
Ji Zichen found himself powerless against Seductive Charm. He retracted Vortex, his expression shifting as he stared at the terrified face of Seductive Charm and said, "This is not a magical artifact; it is the swaddling cloth of my birth!"
With a swing of the Demon-Slaying Sword, Ji Zichen severed Seductive Charm's head. The head bounced a few times before finally coming to a stop on the ground.
Ji Zichen sheathed the Demon-Slaying Sword on his back and glanced sideways at Seductive Charm's head, stating, "It’s dead."
Yuxuan gasped in astonishment, murmuring, "So... so powerful!"
Ji Zichen turned his body to face Yukang's direction and noticed that the cage holding the person had vanished. He asked, "Elder, can you tell me about the Revival Technique now?"
At that moment, a bug crawled out from the right ear of Seductive Charm's head. This bug resembled a centipede but had wings. Suddenly, it flew silently toward Ji Zichen's right ear. Shen Bifan shouted in alarm, "Brother Zichen! Watch out!"
Thanks to Shen Bifan's warning, Ji Zichen heard the sound of wings flapping behind him. He tilted his head just in time for the bug to miss him and instead fly toward Shen Bifan, who felt her scalp tingle in fear.
Yukang immediately cried out, "Kill it! This is the true form of Seductive Charm!"
Yuxuan gritted her teeth and held her breath as she threw a flying knife that struck the bug, pinning it against the wall.
Yuxuan was already severely injured; now, using her remaining energy to launch the knife caused her vision to darken. She swayed and collapsed to the ground.
Yukang was about to stand when he felt his legs weaken. He urgently said, "Quickly! Bring Yuxuan over here; I have a way to save her!"
