Sister Hua called, "Let's go have some tea. Let me comfort your wounded heart!" 0
I replied, "Sister, please don't use me as a sounding board. I just got fired!" 0
"No, you should celebrate! If you resign on your own, they will give you N+1 compensation! It's worse to be pricked by dull knives every day!" 0
"But those two are spreading rumors in the industry, saying they want to ruin my reputation!" 0
"Are you scared?" 0
"Not really, just surprised at how low people can go!" 0
"You still can't let go of your past with that person named Jiang!" Sister Hua hit the nail on the head. "Have you thought it through? Do you still have any connection with them?" 0
What was supposed to be a tea gathering turned into Sister Jiang ordering a small package at the Xiangli Family, claiming she wanted to use alcohol to 'disinfect' and 'ward off bad luck.' 0
"Come, let's drink to your fresh start!" 0
Sister Hua said she was on vacation and wanted to 'take me out' to relax. 0
Reflecting on these past years, I had been working tirelessly like a donkey on a grinding path, utterly exhausted. Coupled with Sister Hua's descriptions of the joys of travel, I couldn't help but feel tempted. 0
As Sister Hua said, before starting anew, I needed to clear out the past and undergo a complete reset. 0
We took an RV to Dali, Yunnan, rented a small courtyard for our stay, wandered through the bustling ancient market, picked highland cherries and mulberries, and lived like a couple making dumplings and sharing a pineapple—everything felt perfectly natural. 0
In a mysterious alley, a little girl was selling some packaged flowers and called out: "Rock-paper-scissors! Win and get a flower." Sister Hua urged me to play a round, and surprisingly, I lost. 0
The little girl picked out a bouquet of roses for me: "Roses represent love; may your love be sweet!" 0
I naturally accepted it and handed it to Sister Hua, who inhaled its fragrance with an entranced expression. 0
At the tavern on People's Road No. 100, we drank until we were tipsy, linking arms as we walked back. 0
Once we returned to the RV, she collapsed onto my bunk: "I'm feeling so dizzy!" 0
Her voice was thick and sticky. 0
"Go wash up; loosen up a bit," I said as I helped her sit up. Her body felt soft as she draped one arm around my neck. 0
She started tossing her clothes outside without closing the door. 0
The sound of water splashed inside while my mind was in chaos. 0
"Help me get my pajamas and underwear," she ordered playfully from within. 0
Just as I was about to rummage through her suitcase, she emerged: "I'll do it myself." 0
I stood there dumbfounded. 0
Her skin was fair with a rosy hue. 0
Every part of her body seemed to radiate magnetism, drawing my gaze inescapably; no matter how hard I tried to look away, I couldn't. 0

"Little brother, it's your turn. How about I give you a back rub?" She looked at me with sultry eyes. 0
I was at my limit. 0
Back then, I didn't have a deep impression of Jiang Xiaoli, but it was different with Sister Hua. We had climbed to the peak together and then tumbled into the abyss... 0
Good news never leaves the house, but bad news travels far and wide. 0
Even my hometown knew that "Hu Ruoyun got fired from the company and dumped by his girlfriend!" 0
I was anxious and couldn't even eat. 0
"Can I accompany you home?" Sister Hua asked cautiously. 0
"My family's in the countryside; my parents can't read a word!" I replied honestly, looking like someone who had just given up after a passionate encounter. 0
"You drive; I'm not feeling well," she pouted. 0
People live for their spirit and energy. 0
When we returned, I felt rejuvenated. 0
Sister Hua, with her fair skin, beautiful looks, and long legs, walked in to find my mother busy in the kitchen and immediately rolled up her sleeves to help. 0
Neighbors gathered to watch the commotion, and I proudly introduced her: "This is my girlfriend!" 0
My mother pulled out a big red envelope and simply stuffed it into Sister Hua's pocket. 0
In our hometown, if the man gives a red envelope, it signifies agreement; if not, there's no chance. If the woman accepts it, it means she has no objections; otherwise, it's over. 0
Sister Hua graciously accepted it and presented carefully prepared gifts to my father, mother, younger brother, and sister. 0
My younger siblings were urged by the neighbors to call her "sister-in-law," and Sister Hua responded to each one warmly. 0

"Hu Ruoyun, I'm about to give birth! Peter is just starting out... You need to return to the company immediately and take over the work from the Research Department, Execution Department, and Business Department!" Jiang Xiaoli commanded on the other end of the phone. 0
I owe you nothing! 0
Seeing that I wasn't responding, she became even more arrogant: "Haven't you been idle lately? Considering you used to follow my dad around, I'll pay you your salary based on your previous position before you left. You know better than I do how tough the environment has been these past few years, so don't overestimate yourself. In front of capital, face and dignity are worth nothing!" 0
I hung up the phone. 0
"Hu Ruoyun, how dare you hang up on me? Do you believe that I..." 0
I hung up again. 0
"Most of your former subordinates haven't found new jobs yet; don't push your luck! I'm only considering how you served me for years back then..." 0
I blocked her number. 0
Sister Hua lazily snuggled closer: "Who was that?" 0
"Who else could it be? That idiot wants me to go back and clean up their mess!" I said angrily as I tossed my phone aside. 0

Sister Hua was quite pleased with my performance. "Come on, let me give you a kiss." 0

I accompanied Sister Hua for her prenatal check-up. While she went inside, I waited and unexpectedly ran into Jiang Xiaoli, who was in labor here. president Jiang and Peter were both present, along with a couple that exuded an air of authority; the man was short and stocky, with a big head, while the woman sported a head full of large curls. 0

Peter swaggered over, clearly feeling triumphant. "Oh, isn't this Husang? I heard you've been quite idle lately. What brings you to the hospital? Looking to hire yourself out as a caregiver? I doubt the hospital would want you. How about this: our cleaner just quit; why don't you come back and take over? We'll pay you her salary, no probation period... Sound good? What do you think?" 0

"Security! There's a lunatic harassing me; could you please come and remove him?" I called out to the security personnel maintaining order, feeling bewildered and surprised. 0

Peter's loud words and exaggerated gestures were meant to draw attention and humiliate me, but my response caught him off guard. A crowd gathered around us, pointing and whispering: 0

"So he's really crazy!" 0
"Just look at him; he doesn't seem normal!" 0
"He just said 'yo xi'; is he still speaking Japanese?" 0
... 0

"How dare you insult me?" A woman with big waves and triangular eyes glared at me, looking for an opportunity to lash out. 0

"Did you see that? This woman is even crazier!" 0
"Seems like she's related to that one speaking gibberish!" 0
"Can mental illness be hereditary?" 0
... 0

The onlookers were enjoying the drama, but they soon shifted their attention back to the woman with the big waves. She wanted to lash out at me, but since I hadn’t said anything, she hesitated, her expression resembling someone who had just swallowed a fly. 0

"Xiao Hu, what are you doing here?" president Jiang finally turned his head away from the scene he could no longer ignore. 0

"Hello, General Jiang. I'm here with my girlfriend for her check-up. When did you return from abroad?" 0

"I... just got back not long ago with your aunt... You seem to be doing well!" 0

I had been in the industry long enough; anyone with half a brain would be laughing at how the boss was still trying to keep up appearances while pushing me to the edge of my limits! 0

president Jiang still had some pride left; he found an excuse about being abroad while leaving company matters in Jiang Xiaoli's hands. A little youthful arrogance could be understood. 0

"He's doing well? Nonsense! We fired him months ago, and he still hasn't found a job! If it weren't for the commissions we gave him, he'd probably be sleeping on the streets!" Peter chimed in again. 0
