Li Li looked at Chen Rui, who was leaning on the steering wheel, and smiled, "You give up now, right? No matter what tricks you pull, it won't work..."
Chen Rui cast a resentful glance at Li Li, then shot a meaningful look at the beautiful 'coach' and cleared his throat twice, "Ahem... Ahem!"
Li Li understood Chen Rui's implication. She felt a bit annoyed but didn't dare to say it outright. They stared at each other intensely, their eyes locking as if sparks could fly from their gaze.
"Alright, alright, it's just Truth or Dare, right? Brother Chen isn't afraid of this?" Zhou Yan said with a laugh, pulling the two down from the speedboat.

"Given the current situation, as long as I hold onto this slight advantage, I should be able to win in the end!" Chen Rui thought to himself, gripping the steering wheel tightly while staring intently at the surface of the sea. His competitive spirit was laid bare in that moment.
Li Li, following closely behind, felt a bit anxious. In this competitive game with no loopholes to exploit, Chen Rui had somehow forced one open. Just for that reason alone, she had to admit defeat. However, Li Li was never one to back down easily; even at this point, she intended to see it through to the end.
Due to time constraints, Zhou Yan was unaware of the previous commotion and was waiting peacefully at the flood control dam in Mary Andel Bay for the two to arrive. Naturally, there would be no more loopholes to exploit.
Seeing three speedboats racing towards her, Zhou Yan excitedly stood up and waved her hand to signal that she was here.
This time, Chen Rui didn't reduce speed because doing so blindly would only lead to being overtaken by Li Li. That guy's driving skills were definitely superior to his own, so maintaining high speed and sharp turns was the better option.
As he passed Zhou Yan's speedboat, Chen Rui suddenly jerked the steering wheel hard to the left, a smirk forming on his lips. Hah! Now you can't do anything about it!

Li Li managed to maintain her speed and drove into Chen Rui's inside lane. Since Chen Rui had started turning first, his speed decreased. Seizing the opportunity, Li Li aligned their two boats side by side before sharply turning her steering wheel. But this maneuver caused both boats to crash tightly together.
"Are you serious? Do you have no shame?" Chen Rui shouted angrily at Li Li on his left. He had been pushed to the outer lane, and turning took him a moment longer than Li Li.
"There's no rule against bumping, right?" Li Li replied with a smile, waving at Chen Rui. "See you!"
The two speedboats resumed their straight course. Due to Chen Rui's earlier mistake, he found himself once again at a disadvantage. Although he was practically tailing Li Li's boat, he just couldn't keep up.
From here to the finish line was a straight shot. Both speedboats were identical in performance, and the earlier collision had only scratched some paint. Now, even Chen Rui felt powerless to retaliate...
The group gathered together, laughing and discussing how to 'play' with Chen Rui, unconsciously overlooking that Li Xue also owed three actions.
"Alright, alright, let's get on with it!" Chen Rui was startled by their increasingly off-topic 'play' discussions and hurriedly interrupted their enthusiasm, voluntarily agreeing to accept the punishment game.
Zhou Zhi asked Li Li, "Can I take the first one?"
Li Li nodded and gave Chen Rui an apologetic smile. Chen Rui cursed inwardly: What a scoundrel! Does it make any difference whether you do it yourself or let someone else do it?
With Li Li's approval, Zhou Zhi rubbed his hands together and fixed his gaze on Chen Rui, scrutinizing him from head to toe, making Chen Rui feel uneasy all over.
"Come on, hurry up; don't waste my time." Zhou Yan slapped Zhou Zhi on the head without giving him any face. Zhou Zhi forced a couple of smiles before turning to Chen Rui seriously.
"Defendant Chen Rui, do you know your crime?"
...Silence...
Even the sounds of laughter from the tourists on the nearby beach were subconsciously blocked out by everyone, all because of those words.
"Defendant...?" Chen Rui forced a smile, struggling to understand what Zhou Zhi was trying to play at.
"Defendant, you can now choose one of the following two options: first, reveal your criminal facts; second, I will have the guards force you to disclose your criminal facts."
Zhou Zhi said with a smile, essentially rephrasing it as whether Chen Rui wanted to share a truth or take a dare.
"Don't try to trick me into talking; I'm a professional adventurer!" Chen Rui replied with a grin, making it clear that he had no intention of revealing his true thoughts.
"Alright! Since you have such courage, I can only admire you sincerely. Now, let’s see what adventure awaits you!" Zhou Zhi was overjoyed at Chen Rui's reaction, and this version of Zhou Zhi threw Chen Rui into a state of panic.
What the hell? Why is he more excited when I choose dare? Isn’t this game usually about discussing some dirty secrets among friends? Am I out of touch?
Chen Rui's expression darkened as he realized that with this group of people, it was entirely possible for him to do something outrageous on this beach.
Thinking of this, Chen Rui quickly called out, "Wait! Wait!"
"What’s wrong? You can't back out now!" Zhou Zhi said with a sly smile, his expression suggesting that if Chen Rui dared to back out, he would pounce and bite him.
Chen Rui sighed helplessly and chuckled lightly. "Dare is fine, but I won’t accept anything too bizarre—like anti-human acts or deliberately embarrassing things."
"Oh come on! It’s definitely not anything abnormal. On the contrary, it’s something quite common, so you don’t need to worry too much," Zhou Zhi replied with a laugh. Although his words assured the normalcy of the dare, his tone only made Chen Rui feel more uneasy.
“Mr. Li, could you please find a decibel meter nearby? We’ll need it soon!” Zhou Zhi said with a smile to Li Li. “I know it’s hard to find, but since you have the widest connections, I’m counting on you.”
Li Li shook his head with a smile and walked aside, helplessly pulling out his phone to contact his ‘friends.’
Zhou Zhi then turned to Qin Xin. “President Qin, could you go buy a diamond ring? That should be easier to find.”
Qin Xin exchanged glances with Zhou Zhi, sharing a smile before running towards Coastal Highway, where there were several jewelry stores.
Wang Xinzhuo noticed Zhou Zhi looking at her and couldn’t help but laugh. “Do I have a task too? Look at you being so capable!”
“Oh dear, there’s no helping it! I promise to give you a proper response another day, Sister Wang. Please find a portable speaker, the bigger the better, but hurry! It’s not easy to find one around here, and there aren’t many audio shops nearby. I remember there should be some street performers at Third Street in Santa Monica; they usually bring their own speakers. Could you ‘borrow’ one from them?”
Wang Xinzhuo shrugged helplessly, smiled at Chen Rui, and quickly headed towards Third Street.
Watching Zhou Zhi directing everyone to gather various items, Chen Rui had already begun to guess what he was up to. Although he felt a bit annoyed, he couldn’t do anything about it; after all, it wasn’t exactly shocking.
Zhou Zhi pulled out his phone and swiftly tapped on the screen a few times before handing it to Chen Rui with a smile. “You’ll need to shout these words through the speaker later. Each sentence must be over 1 decibel in volume, and you can’t mispronounce anything!”
Chen Rui looked at the screen filled with phonetic annotations in various languages and smiled helplessly. These languages came from all over the world, but the main content was essentially the same.
Though he wasn’t particularly eager about it, Chen Rui began practicing the pronunciation of these sentences. After all, he had lost the bet, and he needed to fulfill the requirements given by others. Besides, it wasn’t too difficult, so there was no excuse for him to back out.
The fastest return came from Qin Xin, who was closest. She pulled out a red ring box from a bag and handed it to Zhou Zhi. Upon opening it, a large diamond appeared before him, its brilliance reflecting sunlight in such a way that Zhou Zhi felt his eyes sting.
Zhou Zhi closed the ring box and smiled, saying, "Such a big diamond ring, it must cost at least a few thousand dollars. Boss Qin really went all out."
Chen Rui felt a pang of discomfort in his heart. A few thousand dollars spent just like that—was money really nothing to them?
"Don't worry, I'll keep a tab on you! Next time we play cards, I'll just deduct it from what I owe you," Qin Xin replied with a laugh.
The second person to return was Li Li, followed by a young white man wearing a jacket and sunglasses, carrying a stylish sound level meter as he approached the group.
"Hey, the stuff you wanted is here. Is there anything else you need?" Li Li asked with a smile. He inadvertently glanced at Chen Rui, who shot him a fierce glare in response, clearly dissatisfied with his efficiency.
"Here it comes, here it comes!" Wang Xinzhuo panted as he dragged over a speaker. It wasn't too large, about eighty centimeters tall, but such speakers typically produced loud and varied sounds, perfect for the current situation.
"All departments prepare!" Zhou Zhi directed everyone to their positions like a conductor. He then brought Chen Rui and Li Xue to the center, handing Chen Rui the ring box and the microphone from the speaker while smiling, "The first round is about to begin!"
Suddenly, a magnetic voice cut through the already noisy beach. Initially soft, this voice grew louder after repeating the same phrase several times until it erupted like thunder across the chaotic beach.
This magnetic voice belonged to Chen Rui. After being interrupted multiple times by Zhou Zhi, an angry Chen Rui finally unleashed his full volume and roared:
"I love you, marry me!"
"Je t'aime, épouse-moi!"
"Я люблю тебя, выйди за меня!"
“Hey, neighbor!!!”
“I love you, come be my wife!”
“I love you, I want to be with you!”
“I love you, I will always cherish you!”

The intense voices drew the attention of many, filled with a passionate desire to convey their feelings to one another.
After using more than a dozen languages including English, French, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, Italian, and German, Chen Rui finally paused. He looked at Li Xue in front of him, her eyes red and tears nearly spilling over. He sighed, stepped forward with his left leg, knelt on his right knee, and held the ring box in his right hand.
“I love you,” he finally spoke in his mother tongue. The words were soft, almost inaudible through the speakers; only those nearby could hear him.
Chen Rui slowly lifted his left hand to open the lid of the ring box. Looking at Li Xue, who was already crying like a blooming pear flower, he finally uttered the second half of his statement:
“Marry me!!!” This declaration was not as gentle as “I love you”; it was a shout filled with madness, reminiscent of the fervor of young lovers.
Two streams of tears finally flowed from her eyes, tracing down her cheeks and leaving marks on the sandy beach that would forever hold this memorable moment.
