He turned around and solemnly said, "The responsibility and fundamental duty of the Night's Watch is to protect the safety of the people's lives and property."

Chen Rui activated the onboard radio. "Tower! Tower! This is Air China A714."
New York Airport Control Tower responded, "A714! Please proceed."
"A714, awaiting takeoff."
"A714, please taxi to runway."
"A714, ready for departure."
"A714, you are cleared for takeoff. Have a safe flight!"
"A714, taking off now. Thank you!"
Cockpit
"I'll be flying alone again soon," Captain Wang Bolin said with a mournful look at Chen Rui.
"Don't look at me like that; it’s as if I’ve taken your wife," Chen Rui joked.
"I wish I had one! Working with you guys is just my bad luck. How did I ever agree to this?!"
"Idiot! The speed is fine! Pay attention."
"I could take off with my eyes closed under normal circumstances," Wang Bolin replied with a smile as he slowly pulled up on the control stick, the immense thrust comfortably pushing him back into his seat.
The Boeing 777 quickly reached cruising altitude, and the work was about to begin!
"Bird's Nest! Bird's Nest! This is the operation leader—Falcon, requesting to commence operations!"
“Falcon! This is Bird's Nest. The operation request has been approved; you may begin.”
Chen Rui took off the walkie-talkie. “Everyone prepare, we are about to start the operation. Repeat, we are about to begin!”
Before long, someone knocked on the cockpit door and pushed it open, revealing a smoky makeup look that could scare anyone.
Entering was the flight attendant Qiaoqin, who insisted on wearing various bizarre styles of makeup every time they had an operation. According to her logic, since no one could see her, she might as well experiment a little.
“You—” Chen Rui was interrupted before he could finish.
“I’ve done this so many times already; no one can see! Are you annoying or what?”
“Idiot! Am I not human?!” Wang Bolin shouted, with veins visibly bulging on his forehead.
“Well, doesn’t that mean you’re not a man? Alright, alright, hurry up and go; the guests are all ready.” Qiaoqin pushed Chen Rui out.
“You two enjoy yourselves; I won’t disturb you. Just don’t tire old Wang out too much; what if something goes wrong during the landing? Right?! Hahaha!”
Due to her smoky makeup, Chen Rui couldn’t see her expression but could feel her pushing force noticeably increasing.
Chen Rui smiled as he left the cockpit and walked into first class, where all the passengers were peacefully asleep.
As he passed through first class, a group of people in Business Class fell silent and stood straight when they saw Chen Rui approaching, resembling a group of rigorously trained soldiers.
“No need to be so serious; this isn’t an official duty. This is a business operation; these are all wealthy individuals with money to burn—people who make banks laugh.” Chen Rui smiled as he moved through the crowd. “Everyone take your positions; prepare to start the operation. Execution Team, get ready to enter; Support Team, prepare for emergencies; Coordination Team, get ready to initiate web mode; Recording Team, prepare to start eye mode!”
“Execution Team all set!”
“Support Team all set!”
“Coordination Team all set!”
“Recording Team all set!”
Chen Rui scanned the eyes of everyone present. "Command Group, all members, are in position. Begin operation!"
A wave of chaos ensued...
"Tower, tower! This is A714."
"Tower, tower! This is A714."
"Why isn't there a response? Did you turn off the radio?"
"Don't be ridiculous! If I had turned it off, you wouldn't know! It looks like there's a fire on the ground!" Chen Rui frowned.
"We're running low on fuel; we need to land as soon as possible. It seems we didn't fill up before departure."
"When have they ever filled it up? We're flying over the Arctic Circle; we shouldn't need that much anyway. We'll have to jettison it later. How much longer can we circle at this altitude?" Chen Rui stared down at the runway.
"At one point, it seemed like there was something on the runway below. Runways one and three are blocked, and there's something at the end of runway two!" Even though Wang Bolin referred to the wreckage simply as "something," at their current altitude, it was already vaguely recognizable as having distinct aircraft features.
"Damn it! I hope..." Chen Rui's words were interrupted by a reminder; Qiaoqin was standing outside.
Opening the cabin door, Qiaoqin came in and pointed directly at the side window. "Some passengers reported seeing..."
"We saw it too," Wang Bolin said with a grim expression.
"Don't cause trouble here; go calm the passengers. We're preparing to land immediately. Make sure everyone fastens their seatbelts and follow emergency landing protocols." Wang Bolin turned his face away and whispered, "Of course, we don't need to let the passengers know; they don't need to panic."
After Qiaoqin left, Chen Rui asked, "What do we do? How do we land?"
"The end of runway two is blocked; we only have about eight meters of landing length available, and the safety margin is within five meters. We'll jettison fuel and then land."
"We're almost out of fuel; after landing, we'll activate reverse thrust. I think we should avoid jettisoning," Chen Rui said while looking at the fuel gauge.
"Alright then, prepare for landing!"
The Boeing 777-LR circled around Duguo International Airport before entering the landing approach.
“Tower! Tower! This is the final call, A714 is about to land on runway two, over!”
“Still no response?” Wang Bolin asked.
In fact, after circling, it became clear that aside from the airport itself, the entire area around it was deserted. Cars were parked haphazardly, with no signs of life anywhere.
“Alright, prepare for landing.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, this flight is about to land at China Du International Airport. Please cooperate with the staff. Thank you!”
Wang Bolin slowly pushed the control stick forward. Even as the plane aligned with the landing path, it didn’t stop; the descent angle quickly exceeded normal limits, and anyone who had flown before could feel it.
“Pull up!!!” Wang Bolin suddenly shouted.
Chen Rui yanked the control stick back hard. It wasn’t that he was inexperienced; any sane person wouldn’t allow a plane to dive straight toward the ground like that.
Finally, just before touchdown, the nose was pulled up. Looking at the horizon indicator in front of him, Chen Rui broke out in a cold sweat.
Wang Bolin skillfully lowered the nose again and yelled at Chen Rui, “Pull harder!”
Chen Rui placed his left hand on the throttle and pulled back simultaneously with Wang Bolin. The engines let out a wail, and everyone in the cabin felt the sudden drop.
In less than half a minute, the plane came to a stop at the end of runway two, barely a meter away from the wreckage of another aircraft.
Duguo International Airport was engulfed in chaos; black smoke billowed from the wreckage while sparks flew from the terminal.
“Open the emergency exits,” Wang Bolin said quietly.
“Understood,” came a heavy female voice over the radio.
Moments later, all emergency exits on the plane opened, and safety slides inflated instantly. Under the direction of the flight attendants, passengers quickly evacuated to the ground.
"The game officially begins!!!" Chen Rui thought to himself.
Looking at the ruined airport, the passengers began to discuss among themselves, with some asking, "Can you help us find some vehicles so we can leave?"
"Someone is already arranging that; please wait a moment," Chen Rui replied. In truth, he was also puzzled about who wrote this script. He believed that only by immersing himself in the situation could he understand the customers' feelings and make better judgments. This had been his guiding principle from the start, which is why no one in the Action Team had seen the script for any of their business operations.
So even now, each group still had no idea what they would face.
A shuttle bus pulled up, driven by a girl whose cold demeanor overshadowed her entire presence.
"Passengers from First Class may board first; we will take you to the city center. The second bus will arrive shortly, so please be patient," Wang Bolin said kindly, trying to soothe the Economy Class passengers, who at least had no major complaints.
However, the First Class passengers seemed somewhat reluctant. One young man frowned as he attempted to call someone, while a beautiful girl next to him casually fiddled with her phone.
"If you cannot reach your pick-up person, please board the bus or continue waiting," Chen Rui said wearily. Watching these passengers simmer with frustration was disheartening; after all, the customer is king.
After several failed attempts to contact anyone, the seven First Class passengers seemed to accept this offer of help. The young man smiled and asked, "So where will you take us in the city?"
"Well, once you're on the bus, please let us know where you'd like to be dropped off within the city's third ring road. We will create an itinerary accordingly," Chen Rui explained with a smile.
"Okay, thank you."
Once the seven First Class passengers boarded, about ten people from Business Class joined them, along with several Flight Attendants and two Captains. The bus slowly started moving toward the city.
"So, what do you think this script is about?" Wang Bolin asked with a grin.
"Who are you? Trying to get close to me? What do you want? Honestly, I have no idea; but isn't it obvious this is a disaster script? How did you become an executor without seeing that!" Chen Rui mocked.
"Hey! You may be smart, but you still can't tell who I am?"
The real Wang Bolin was busy being affectionate with the real Qiaoqin in the cockpit! Here, this Captain was an imposter; anyone who could talk such nonsense couldn't be AI. Most people in the Execution Team were not very sharp, and for a moment, Chen Rui truly didn't know who this person was!
"I am Peng Hao! Surprised?" Peng Hao said with a smile on Wang Bolin's face.
Chen Rui ignored him and looked towards the city center, realizing that they had unknowingly entered a thick fog, making it difficult to see what lay ahead. Even on the elevated road, Ye Han dared only to keep the car's speed between forty and fifty.
"Could it be based on that movie?" Chen Rui thought, glancing back at the seven passengers.
The young couple sat together, the boy resting his head on the girl's shoulder, gazing adoringly at her as she played on her phone, completely absorbed in the game.
To their left sat a man in sportswear, around thirty years old. It was indeed rare to see someone dressed so casually. Behind him was a beautiful woman, likely just graduated from college, with a fresh face free of makeup that radiated youthful vitality.
The other three were men in suits. One appeared to be in his thirties, while the other two were probably in their forties. They squinted their eyes, trying to catch a moment of rest, likely accustomed to being busy all the time.
Suddenly, a thunderous crash echoed through the air, followed by a massive tremor that jolted those who had been dozing off awake, leaving them bewildered as they stared out the window.
Ye Han calmly pulled the car over to the side of the road, and all eyes turned towards her. Chen Rui cursed under his breath; how could someone so grown-up still rely on psychological comfort? It was illogical! In truth, everyone just wanted this Captain to take the lead and check what was going on outside.
Chen Rui had no intention of doing that. He nudged Peng Hao with his elbow, signaling him to go. Although Peng Hao held the title of Captain under Wang Bolin's authority, everyone here knew they had to obey the Command Group.
Peng Hao stood up and turned to address the cabin. "I'll go take a look; please wait here." As he turned to exit the vehicle, he leaned closer to Ye Han and whispered, "Don't turn off the engine; be ready to leave at any moment. Just ignore me when the time comes."
Ye Han shot him a glance and replied, "Who would care about you?" Peng Hao gave her a helpless look before stepping out of the car and heading straight into the fog, disappearing from sight.
