Oman stood in front of the palette, carefully observing every detail. As his research deepened, he gradually connected this ancient puzzle to the history of a lost empire. The patterns and symbols on the palette seemed to depict the ancient empire's sacrificial rituals, possibly related to the legendary " Solar Eyes " artifact.
However, what puzzled Oman were certain parts of the palette, especially the chaotic and smooth lines. These symbols seemed to conceal deeper meanings, but what they specifically represented remained a mystery. Oman gazed at those lines, trying to find the answers within himself.
As for the headless figure at the bottom of the color palette, Oman couldn't help but wonder if it symbolized the fallen empire using Solar Eyes to defeat many enemies, or if this powerful artifact brought great sacrifices and tragedies to the empire. These patterns may imply the dual nature of Solar Eyes: it is both a source of power and a potential catalyst for disaster.
Oman took a deep breath, knowing that he still had much to learn. But his curiosity about ancient Egyptian history and his desire to unravel the mysteries of the lost empire drove him to continue exploring.
Oman was staring intently at the mysterious symbols on the color palette, unaware of someone approaching. Suddenly, a pair of hands gently landed on his shoulder, causing him to turn around in surprise. Before him stood Alyssa Duff, with her high ponytail and sharp gaze peering directly at him through her glasses. The fine lines at the corners of her eyes revealed her maturity and experience. This woman, who appeared to be in her thirties or forties, held a prestigious position within the association.
Elisa wore a slight smile on her face as she calmly said, " Oman, you seem very interested in this color palette. I've noticed you've been studying it for the past few days."
Oman answered somewhat nervously, "Yes, Dr. Elisa, I have been trying to understand the possible meanings of these symbols and patterns."
Elisa nodded, her gaze falling on the color palette, and continued, "This color palette is very important to our research, it may be the key to understanding the lost empire. Your efforts and focus are commendable, we need young scholars like you who are passionate about history."
Oman felt a little inspired by Elisa's words, which gave him more motivation to continue his research. He replied, "Thank you, Dr. Elisa. I will continue to work hard and hope to find more clues for our research."
Elisa leaned gently on the table, her eyes showing curiosity and concern for Oman. She calmly asked, "I noticed that you are often one of the first to arrive at the association. Do you come so early specifically for research?"
Oman smiled awkwardly and replied honestly, "Yes, Dr. Elisa. Before joining the association, my expertise was mainly focused on historical research. After coming here, I found that there are too many new things to learn in the exploration team, which leaves me with little time for in-depth research. So, I tried to come early, hoping to use this quiet time to better understand the topics we are researching."
Elisa nodded slightly, apparently satisfied with Oman's answer. She encouraged, "That's good, Oman. For a young scholar, maintaining curiosity and a learning attitude is very important. Your enthusiasm and perseverance will bring you great progress. Remember, no matter what path you choose, the association will support you."
Oman listened to Elisa's praise, nodded, and suddenly her eyes became deep, staring at Oman and asked, "After listening to Max's report, you seem very eager to join the expedition team?" Oman nodded somewhat awkwardly, feeling that his desire had been seen through by this experienced scholar.
Elisa smiled and asked again, "Tell me, Oman, why is this matter so important to you? Is it out of curiosity? Is it because of personal emotions? Or is it a search for truth?"
Oman fell silent for a moment, Elisa's question made him pensive. He raised his head and earnestly replied, "Dr. Elisa, for me, joining the expedition team is not just out of curiosity. Of course, the exploration of the unknown is always exciting, but for me, it is more about the pursuit of truth. Since I joined the association, I have been fascinated by the lost empire and the mystery behind Solar Eyes. I want to explore it personally, to uncover the veil of these historical mysteries."
He paused for a moment, his eyes shining with determination, "Moreover, this opportunity is also a challenge and a chance for growth for me. I know I have many shortcomings, but I am eager to become stronger and more mature through this experience. This is not only for my personal growth, but also to better serve the association and our mission."
Elisa listened to Oman's words and a hint of admiration appeared in her eyes. "Your answer is very good, Oman. Your passion for exploration and thirst for truth are qualities that an excellent scholar should possess. Regardless of the outcome, you have already proven your worth and potential." She smiled slightly, then turned and left, leaving Oman alone to contemplate.
Oman slowly made his way to the exploration area, still pondering Elisa's words. Her sudden question seemed to imply expectations and tests for him, which made Oman feel both excited and nervous. He took a deep breath, trying to focus his attention on the task at hand.
When he arrived at the exploration team's location, Max and Yuki were already busy there. They seemed to be checking some outdoor equipment and making final preparations for the upcoming adventure. Max looked very focused, while Yuki carefully inspected each piece of equipment to ensure everything was in optimal condition.
"Good morning, Max, Yuki," Oman greeted softly while observing their work.
Max looked up and saw Oman, and smiled slightly: "Good morning, Oman. Are you ready for today's training? Today we will continue to improve your wilderness survival skills."
Yongyi also turned around, nodded, and then focused back on his work. "Oman! Get ready to check the equipment and conduct routine inspections."
Oman walked over and joined their ranks. He began to help inspect the equipment, while carefully listening to the guidance of Max and Yuki, and the day's work began again.
