The sudden sound interrupted Xu Nuan's standoff with the five members of the Third Batch of Players. 0

The persistent dizziness forced Xu Nuan to take a few steps back, leaning against a nearby tree for a brief rest. She could no longer pay attention to the various gazes filled with different emotions directed at her; the voice of the System was cold and unusual. 0

"Since you are all fortunate enough to encounter the Second Batch Players, I will provide a brief introduction. As you can see, this is a large Survival Game Base. If you can pass through One Hundred Levels and complete the survival tasks, you will receive a reward of One Billion." 0

The enormous sum left the Third Batch of Players somewhat stunned, with the first to react being a man who appeared quite gentle. 0

Xu Nuan glanced at him inadvertently. 0

His neatly trimmed short hair framed a slender, angular face, with sword-like brows slightly raised and deep brown eyes that held a serious expression. A friendly smile lingered on his lips. He wore a casual white shirt, a gray tie, and black dress pants, complemented by shiny shoes that accentuated his tall and upright figure. 0

He looked somewhat familiar; Xu Nuan strained her memory to search for his image but found nothing. 0

Curiously, she looked up at the nameplate on his chest: 'Technical Department Gu Ze.' 0

Gu Ze? That name also sounded familiar. 0

Gu Ze took two slow steps forward, replacing those behind him to address the System, essentially asking the person in the Game Monitoring Room. 0

"But we were unaware of this game beforehand and had no intention of participating. Can you explain this?" 0

Though it was phrased as a question, Xu Nuan detected a subtle threat and pressure in his tone. Lowering her gaze slightly, she set down her backpack and took out some bandages. This was none of her concern; these people had nothing to do with her. 0

The voice processed by the machine was cold and devoid of any emotion. 0

"I’m very sorry, but our game rules state that as long as we have a copy of your identification, we can proceed with signing the Life-and-Death Contract. The ten million has already been transferred to the account of the designated beneficiary as stipulated in the contract." 0

As soon as the System's voice fell, Xu Nuan, who was cutting open a wound contaminated with poison, noticed a woman with yellow curly hair stepping forward. Her nameplate read 'Operations Department - Deng Yinyin,' and her voice was shrill and grating, like a knife scraping against metal. 0

"What kind of ridiculous rule is this? A contract signed by someone else shouldn't count! Let us out now!" 0

Xu Nuan felt an increase in her headache but ultimately just frowned without saying anything. 0

"Sorry, once you enter the game, you cannot leave unless you complete it. As for the signing of the contract, you might want to think about who signed on your behalf so you can sue them after getting out of the game. Beyond that, it’s not within our responsibility. With that said, I wish you all a pleasant game and hope you clear it soon!" 0

The System's voice abruptly cut off, leaving Deng Yinyin shouting in vain as it did not return. 0

A brief silence fell over the large open space as the Third Batch of Players turned their gazes toward Xu Nuan, waiting for her to explain. 0

Unfortunately, Xu Nuan did not think she needed to explain anything. When she and the other Second Batch Players entered, the System had merely thrown down a few words before disappearing. 0

With this thought in mind, Xu Nuan ignored Deng Yinyin's furious outburst and took out anti-inflammatory powder, painkillers, and bandages to further treat her wound. 0

Suddenly, a shadow appeared above her head, and a gentle voice spoke up. 0

"Let me help you; it seems inconvenient for you to do this alone." 0

Xu Nuan looked up, and what caught her eye was a woman with shoulder-length hair, exuding an air of scholarly elegance. The worry etched on her face was genuine. Xu Nuan's gaze shifted downward, and she learned the woman's name. 0

Tang Jingshu, truly living up to her name. 0
