Fishman Island is not completely submerged; it is a sea island wrapped in bubbles, divided into land and lakes. There is no water on the land, but lakes filled with seawater are scattered everywhere, with many buildings situated in the water, including some residences of the Fishmen.
On Fishman Island, buildings above water are even rarer and more expensive.
This is because, although Sun Tree Eve can transmit sunlight, the amount of sunlight received underwater is limited, and with stone walls blocking it, the deeper you go, the scarcer the sunlight becomes.
Transportation on land combines bubbles and sea fish with carrying tools.
Bubbles provide buoyancy while sea fish provide propulsion, allowing people to move through the air.
"Fishman Island looks beautiful," Christmas said, sitting near the window and gazing down with a sense of longing.
Heckler sighed and replied, "But such a beautiful place is likely to be destroyed by the president soon."
Ace furrowed his brow in confusion and asked, "Why would the Fish-Man Kingdom take action against us? Especially since Fishman Island is under our father's protection."
Cecilia lazily remarked, "Looks like you've been betrayed."
The group wore various expressions as they quietly waited in the cabin. Before long, the Phoenix Tail Ship slowly arrived, and then the cabin door opened, revealing several figures approaching.
Ace immediately shouted, "I want to see Jinbei."
"Jinbei?"
"He's been hunting you for a while now; he left yesterday," Great Prince Shark Star said with a smile.
"Hunting me?" Ace asked, taken aback and confused. "Why is he hunting me?"
"Don't ask so many questions," Crash Star replied. "Everyone stand up."
Ace and the others had no choice but to rise to their feet and were escorted off the Phoenix Tail Ship. They walked along a path and entered a large door, leading them into a long corridor.
As they entered the corridor, they descended a staircase to the first underground level. Crash Star immediately instructed, "Follow me; those in regular handcuffs should be locked up on this floor."
"Understood."
Several Fishmen followed Crash Star and disappeared onto the first floor.
Meanwhile, Shark Star led Ace and the other Senior Agents, along with two Intermediate Agents, down to the second underground level until they reached the end.
With a loud creak, a heavy iron door was opened by Great Prince Shark Star, revealing an odor of decay from within.
"Go inside."
Shark Star pushed Ace directly inside, and Cecilia, Heckler, Vivi, and the others were all shoved in as well.
"Ah."
Vivi fell to the ground, feeling the dampness of the floor.
"Vivi, are you okay?" Cecilia asked with concern.
"I'm fine."
Vivi sat up and looked at everyone who had been pushed into the cell.
"Just stay here for now."
Shark Star shut the cell door firmly and then walked away.
As Shark Star left, the room fell into silence. Christmas complained, "It's so dirty."
"We can only stay here for now," Heckler said helplessly.
"It's all your fault for believing Jinbei and trusting Fishman Island," Christmas glared at Ace in frustration.
But Ace remained still, furrowing his brow as he gazed into the distance. "This place is so big."
"Big?" Elken asked in confusion. "What do you mean?"
Vivi straightened up and said, "It is indeed very spacious; this room is quite empty."
"Not only that, but there are also people here," Ace remarked as he looked into the distance.
"Have we been discovered?"
A voice echoed from afar, and with a snap, a burst of flames appeared, revealing a figure in the distance.
...
"Ace has been captured?"
Behind Fish-Man Street, next to a sunken ship, the tall Hody sat in a chair, gazing at the distant giant beast before shifting his attention to the eight figures in front of him. Suddenly, he burst into laughter. "I never expected it would come so easily."
Leopard Zang added, "It seems King Neptune made the worst decision."
"That's right. I was hesitant at first, but since Neptune has betrayed Whitebeard..."
Hody stood up and declared, "Now we can justifiably overthrow Neptune's regime, rescue Ace as a token of allegiance, and gain Whitebeard's protection."
"So you plan to rebel?" Eight looked at Hody with a cold expression.
Hody glanced at Nonsense and replied, "This isn't rebellion; it's an uprising."
"Exactly."
In the distance, a tall figure clad in black and white said, "King Neptune is becoming increasingly foolish. He wants to take us to live on the Surface of the Sea, and he has betrayed Whitebeard. Fishman Island will eventually be led into the abyss by him; we are merely correcting his course."
"Jiao is right."
Hody looked at Nonsense. "For the future of Fishman Island, we must do this. You saw it yourself; he has captured Ace."
"Capturing Ace doesn't mean we have to rebel."
Eight looked at Hody and said, "I only need to save Ace."
"Can you do that?"
Hody turned to Nonsense. "With Jinbei gone, can you and that beast defeat King's Army?"
"We can't do it," Eight shook his head.
Hody said, "Join us, and you can save Ace. You can also bring back King Neptune's head to present to Whitebeard."
Eight opened his mouth and glanced at the giant beast in the distance, which was lying there, eating a fish.
"Senior Eight, you are Brother Arlong's subordinate."
Hody continued, "Brother Arlong fell in the East Blue. Have you forgotten his dream? He longed to build a powerful Fish-Man Empire. And now, we are incredibly close to achieving that goal."
Upon hearing this, Eight looked at the giant beast again and nodded. "Alright, I can choose to join you."
Hody stood up abruptly and said, "Very well, with Senior Eight and the giant beast helping us, our chances of victory have increased significantly."
"Jinbei has left, Neptune is targeting Ace, and Senior Eight along with the giant beast are joining us," a Fishman nearby remarked. "This truly assists Lord Hody."
"Exactly."
Hody grinned widely, revealing a smile as he said, "I was still hesitating, but now the opportunity is right in front of me. Hahaha, what incredible luck!"
With Hody's laughter, the surrounding Fishmen burst into hearty laughter as well.
Hody waved his hand and said, "Contact Daken and tell his Flying Pirate Crew to hurry here. Delays could lead to complications; we need to launch our attack quickly."
"Understood." A Fishman took his leave to carry out the order.
Hody turned to Eight and said, "To prevent any leaks of information, I ask that Senior Eight stay here. If you need anything, let others handle it."
"Alright."
Eight nodded and glanced at the surrounding Fishmen before saying, "However, I need to receive updates on Ace at all times."
"Don't worry. We have a Traitor in Dragon Palace who will relay the messages. Any news will be communicated to Senior Eight immediately," a tall Fishman nearby assured him.
"That's good to hear."
Eight nodded again and added, "I hope you can arrange for me and the giant beast to be placed in a secluded area; it doesn't like chaotic environments."
"Alright, alright, Daruma, take Eight to the north of the sunken ship and let them rest for a bit."
Hody immediately said, as the short cigar-shaped Fishman Daruma walked up to Eight. "Come with me."
Eight followed closely behind, while Xiaqiu leisurely trailed along.
"There are so many Fishmen."
Xiaqiu drooled, "The Flying Pirate Crew hasn't arrived yet, so let's just let Ace and the others stay in the prison a little longer."
