Chapter One Hundred Ninety-Five: Convergence
Two days later, Bastille.
"Autumn single-handedly attacked a Vice Admiral?"
Nico Robin looked at the newspaper, her expression somewhat complicated. "And it happened on the sixth floor?"
"That's impressive."
Sabo, standing not far away, said, "According to the information we've received, he fought and defeated Admiral Gumeir. Admiral Gumeir's techniques couldn't inflict any damage on him."
"Admiral Gumeir is a renowned swordsman; he should be able to cut through iron," Kera remarked from a distance. "And he also uses Haki. I can't imagine how he managed to win."
"To be able to kill a Vice Admiral, his strength is formidable; he may not be inferior to me."
Sabo stroked his chin thoughtfully. "In the four years we've been apart, his strength has increased rapidly. Given his abilities, the task he wants our help with shouldn't be too easy."
Hearing this, Nico Robin seemed to recall something. "He didn't tell us what to do back then; even if he had, we wouldn't have believed he could accomplish it. Now that he suddenly attacks a Vice Admiral, it proves his strength is on par with Sabo's. Could this be a signal?"
Kera looked at the two of them and asked, "Isn't today June first?"
"That's right."
Sabo nodded, just about to say something when a voice suddenly came from afar. "Commander Sabo, there's information coming in from Emile Island."
“Emil Island?”
Sabo exchanged glances with the others; indeed, killing the Vice Admiral was a signal.
The three of them immediately walked over, and Sabo glanced at Nico Robin, saying, “You go ahead.”
“Alright.”
Nico Robin took the phone and gently said, “Qiu, is that you?”
...
Sakura Kingdom.
“Elken and Lilya have been gone for quite a while.”
Dalton and Bola stood side by side, gazing out at the swirling snowflakes and the white blanket of snow. “It’s the first time they’ve both left at the same time.”
“Yeah, this mission is very important and quite dangerous,” Bola replied softly.
Dalton asked, “Didn’t you receive a summons?”
“No.”
Bola looked at the baby in her arms and smiled, saying, "I asked the president, but he doesn't need me to go. Even if I did, I might not be able to help, so it's better for me to stay home and take care of the child."
Dalton chuckled, "It’s probably because you just gave birth and have become a mother."
Bola replied, "Even if I went, I might not be able to help. It's better to stay here. If things go wrong, at least the other members will have a fallback."
Dalton said, "Your president values relationships highly; he has already thought of a backup plan for you."
"That's exactly what worries me."
Bola said softly, "He shouldn't care about these things at all, nor should he think of a backup plan."
...
Alabasta.
"I'm sorry, Master. During this time, I might have something to attend to and won't be able to learn swordsmanship from you."
In the luxurious room in Las Vegas, Vivi spoke apologetically into the Transponder Snail.
"What do you have to do?" The voice of Peach Rabbit came through the receiver.
Vivi replied, "During this time, I need to go to Sakura Kingdom to discuss the next phase of cooperation for the medical center and the plan to establish a hospital in Alabasta."
"Is that so?"
Peach Rabbit, hearing Vivi's words, replied with dissatisfaction, "Isn't there anyone else who can do it? You can't be the only one in Alabasta. I seem to have told you not to get too distracted by other matters."
Vivi quickly responded, "Teacher Peach Rabbit, it's just this matter. It's mainly about the collaboration with Sakura Kingdom and the establishment of the medical center, which I'm responsible for. It wouldn't be appropriate to hand it over to someone else right now; it has to be handled by me, but it shouldn't take too long. Besides, even in Sakura Kingdom, I can still train."
"Alright then."
Peach Rabbit said, "But I will go to Alabasta and wait for your return."
"Huh?"
Vivi paused for a moment and asked, "Are you coming over, Teacher? But I won't be able to welcome you."
"It doesn't matter if you're not here."
Peach Rabbit smiled and asked, "Haven't you seen the news?"
"The news?"
Vivi looked puzzled for a moment before realizing, "You mean the incident with the G Branch being attacked by the giant beast? Admiral Gumeir was killed by the giant beast?"
Peach Rabbit nodded and said, "Only that giant beast appeared, fought Admiral Gumeir, and killed him. I find it all rather unbelievable."
Vivi asked with concern, "So how does the Navy plan to respond?"
Peach Rabbit replied, "Things are a bit beyond our expectations. Admiral Sengoku is furious, and Admiral Sakazuki is handling the situation."
Vivi inquired again, "Will there be any problems in Alabasta?"
"No, there won't be."
Peach Rabbit continued, "Didn't I tell you I was going to Alabasta? You can rest assured and go to Sakura Kingdom. I'll stay here and watch over things for you. Besides, Aokiji informed me that Alabasta is a target point, so this counts as part of my mission."
Hearing this, Vivi's expression darkened, but she still said, "Alright, then I'll leave it to Vice Admiral Peach Rabbit."
"Leave it to me."
Peach Rabbit smiled and said, "I'll probably arrive by tomorrow morning, so you need to hurry back."
"I will."
Vivi replied earnestly before hanging up the phone.
"I have to go now."
Taking a deep breath, Vivi strapped two swords to her waist and turned to walk out of the room.
"Let's go."
Vivi took a deep breath and spoke to the guards standing outside and to Ikaram.
"Yes, Princess Vivi."
Ikaram slightly bowed and then followed Vivi as they walked away, descending the stairs.
Vivi and Ikaram arrived at the first level of Las Vegas, where the gamblers cheered upon seeing her, "Princess Vivi."
"Princess Vivi."
The gamblers in the entire casino were very familiar with Vivi.
She was the princess of Alabasta and also the master of Alaska Casino, possessing the Sand-Sand Fruit. She was skilled in swordsmanship and had formidable strength.
Many admired her, feared her, and envied her.
Yet she did not know if she would ever return again.
Vivi shook her head and led Ikaram out of the casino. They made their way to the port and boarded a ship heading to Sakura Kingdom.
Upon arriving at Sakura Kingdom, she was personally escorted by Dalton into the castle but quietly left from the back of the castle, making her way to the rear coast.
There was a submarine that had long been prepared.
Vivi stepped onto the submarine and entered the cabin, and then the submarine set off towards the distant Sailing, arriving at Second Island.
As Vivi disembarked on Second Island and walked in, she found that many people had already gathered.
The President, Ace, Heckler, Cecilia, Perona, Feng Kelei.
Seeing Vivi, Xiaqiu nodded and said, "Vivi is here; everyone is present. Elken and Christmas have sent word that their ship in Sabaody Archipelago has successfully been coated. It's time to go."
At this point, Xiaqiu revealed a sinister smile.
"Let us head to the New World together."
