Chapter 181: An Unexpected Choice
"At Whiskey Peak, a large number of Baroque agents have appeared. Their main mission is to hunt down the pirates that have arrived, seize their funds, and exchange them for bounties."
"On one of the islands, a significant amount of dancing powder has been discovered, suspected to be related to the drought incident in Alabasta two to three years ago."
"On another island, we found what appears to be their headquarters. When we arrived, they were in the process of destroying documents, but among the remaining files, we uncovered Alabasta's drought plan and some intelligence information, including the weaknesses of the Sand-Sand Fruit, such as Crocodile's assassination plan and a Vice Admiral's assassination plan."
Inside Ailuma City Hall, Aokiji listened to his subordinate's report, looking somewhat troubled. "So it really is them."
"Admiral Aokiji, what should we do next?"
Sitting not far away was a woman dressed in a red suit and gloves, gazing at Aokiji.
Aokiji rested his chin on his hand and replied, "We continue the investigation."
"Can you take this more seriously?"
Nearby, Vivi looked at Aokiji and exclaimed loudly, "Ace and Heckler are still out there, along with that giant beast. Besides that, there are many Officers as well."
"Vivi."
Cobra immediately called out, "You cannot show disrespect to Admiral Aokiji."
"He hasn't fulfilled his promise and has put all of Alabasta in danger," Vivi retorted coldly.
"Don't worry; we will place bounties on them and hunt them down worldwide."
Aokiji sighed and added, "Moreover, Tina's Black Cage Fleet has already arrived."
"What about your person? It's been five hours; she still hasn't shown up," Vivi asked with a frown.
"Who knows what she's doing?"
Aokiji lazily said, "That woman..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Aokiji suddenly straightened up and looked towards the back.
In the next moment, the door swung open, and a figure slowly walked in. A gentle voice rang out, "Aokiji, what are you thinking about?"
Standing at the doorway was a tall figure, over three meters high, a beautiful woman.
She wore a classical bun hairstyle, her complexion gentle, with round eyes and a faint smile on her face.
Draped in a Navy cloak, she wore a short-sleeved top with pink lace trim, her ample chest straining against the fabric, revealing large patches of fair skin.
Her lower half was clad in black shorts that showcased her long, pale legs. On the outer side of her left leg was a blue spider design.
A long sword hung at her waist, and she stood there like a gentle spring breeze, yet concealed a deadly poison within.
"Who is she?"
Vivi was taken aback upon seeing her, a name surfacing in her mind.
"Hahaha."
Aokiji looked at her and chuckled, "I didn't expect Vice Admiral Peach Rabbit to arrive so soon."
The newcomer was indeed Vice Admiral Peach Rabbit.
She and Aokiji were old friends; in terms of age, she was Aokiji's senior, and she was even recognized as a sister by Tsuru. Aokiji had always held great respect for her.
"It's actually her."
Seeing the woman before her made Vivi feel somewhat nervous.
Peach Rabbit, a Vice Admiral at Naval Headquarters, possessed strength that surpassed most Vice Admirals, though she was slightly inferior to an Admiral.
If it were her, perhaps she couldn't defeat him, but she could certainly hold her ground against Ace.
"I received your message and came right away."
Peach Rabbit walked over slowly, not taking a seat, and asked, "How long do you need me to stay here?"
Aokiji replied, "At least three months. I will do my best to resolve the Trouble within that time."
"Understood."
Peach Rabbit then inquired, "What about Sengoku the Admiral?"
Aokiji said, "He thinks it's a waste of manpower to send Vice Admiral Peach Rabbit here. However, considering the death of Demon Spider Vice Admiral and the Alabasta annihilation plan, you weren't originally assigned any tasks."
At this point, Aokiji felt a murderous gaze directed at him and smiled as he continued, "Of course, Sengoku the Admiral is getting older and may not see the value of Vice Admiral Peach Rabbit's presence. Nevertheless, Marshal has agreed to your coming here to provide support and take full responsibility for matters here."
"Alright."
Peach Rabbit nodded and asked, "I hear there's a casino here? The largest casino in Grand Line Paradise?"
Aokiji immediately looked at Vivi, who stood up and said, "It's located in Ailuma City."
"I've heard of it; Tazoro has praised it before."
Peach Rabbit turned to Vivi and said, "Take me there."
"Yes."
Vivi promptly led Vice Admiral Peach Rabbit away.
Outside City Hall, the sunlight was a bit blinding when Peach Rabbit's voice suddenly rang out, "Why are you a little nervous?"
"Nervous?"
Vivi paused, looking up at Peach Rabbit.
"Yes, I can sense that you're a bit tense seeing me," Peach Rabbit said, gazing at Vivi. "What are you afraid of?"
Vivi shook her head and replied, "I don't know why, but in front of Vice Admiral Peach Rabbit, I feel an unexplainable pressure. Plus, I've heard rumors about Vice Admiral Peach Rabbit, so I'm a bit worried."
"Is that so?"
Peach Rabbit nodded but didn't delve deeper. Instead, she said, "Let's go."
"Okay."
Vivi immediately led Peach Rabbit away, and the two of them boarded F-Crocodile, disappearing into the distance.

In Bastille, Nico Robin sat in her room, flipping through books while sipping tea.

The door opened, and Sabo walked in, handing a newspaper to Nico Robin. "Autumn has encountered some trouble."
"What?"
Nico Robin raised an eyebrow and quickly took the newspaper. As she opened it, she first found three folded pages.
"Is this the Bounty Notice?"
Nico Robin flipped through the Bounty Notice. "Autumn has a bounty of one hundred fifty million, Heckler has a bounty of one hundred million, and Ace's bounty is six hundred million."
Upon seeing the Bounty Notice, Nico Robin immediately glanced at the newspaper and quickly spotted a line in bold black text: "Dark forces emerge on the Water Surface; Baroque Works has been taken down by the Navy."
Next to the bold text was another line: "Coercing the Alabasta Kingdom, killing former Seven Warlords of the Sea, Whitebeard's second division captain Ace has joined."
Seeing this, Nico Robin quickly looked at the content below. "July 5th, Year 15..."
"It's good that Autumn managed to escape."
Nico Robin let out a sigh of relief upon seeing that Autumn was safe. Then she said, "I can't believe Ace actually joined Baroque Works. Heckler... I think I interviewed for that position. So Alabasta is involved too. It seems like too much has happened while I was away."
Sabo furrowed his brows and asked, "What exactly are they trying to do? Now even the Seven Warlords of the Sea have joined in and are fighting against Admirals."
"I don't know either."
Nico Robin shook her head, her brow furrowed tightly. Then she asked, "Is the contact person Autumn requested still around?"
"They've always been here."
Sabo shrugged and said, "But there’s less than three years left; after that, they’ll have to withdraw."
Nico Robin replied, "Then we'll wait for him to make contact. I believe he has his own plans."
Sabo looked at Nico Robin and sighed. "But if this continues, he could become a threat to the world. I’m not sure we can cooperate then. On the contrary, he might even become an enemy."
"That won't happen."
Nico Robin nodded seriously and said, "I believe he has his reasons for doing this."
The area was shrouded in mist, preventing the sun from breaking through, leaving it enveloped in darkness throughout the day.
Deep within the fog, a massive structure loomed, barely visible in the shadows.
"It's truly enormous," Ace and Heckler stood on the ship, gazing at the colossal building with expressions of astonishment. "Moria has rarely shown himself over the years, yet here he is in this region. If I'm not mistaken, he's the one responsible for the disappearance of hundreds of vessels each year in the Grand Line."
"That's right," Xiaqiu said as he climbed up from the sea onto the island. "Our target this time is him."
