Chapter 180: Target
In the Las Vegas Casino, Cecilia sat in a chair eating fruit, feeling somewhat bored.
Vivi had gone to meet the president, leaving her to guard the casino alone.
"Why did she leave again after being gone for almost five days?"
Cecilia was dissatisfied with Vivi's frequent absences; she didn't want to waste her time here.
Although there was plenty of delicious food and a comfortable environment, Cecilia preferred to train herself.
She had a crazy desire for combat, wanting to become stronger and surpass her past self.
"The president has learned Shave, and Heckler's speed is impressive too."
Cecilia had been troubled by the fact that the president had mastered Shave; she used to be the fastest but now barely ranked third.
So she hoped for more time to train.
However, Vivi's matters were more important.
Cecilia thought idly, but at that moment, she felt a few taps on her palm. She looked down but saw nothing.
Yawning, Cecilia walked toward the restroom. Once inside, she closed the door behind her.
A door appeared in front of her within the space.
Christmas stood inside the space, waving at her. "Come with me."
"Alright."
Cecilia nodded, stepped forward, and entered the space, disappearing from sight.
"We need to hold them off."
Christmas suddenly threw a round bomb and then closed the door behind her.
Boom.
The bomb exploded, creating a large hole in the ground and shattering the surrounding walls.
At the end of the corridor outside the door, two individuals dressed in black were approaching. Hearing the loud noise, they exchanged glances, and in a flash, they were already outside the door.
Bang.
The door was smashed open, and the two saw an empty room, quickly locking onto the shattered wall of the bathroom.
Whoosh.
The two appeared at the bathroom door, pushed it open to look inside, and discovered a large hole below.
"Damn it, she got away," one of the black-clad figures said with a grim expression.
"I'll go after her; you notify Admiral Aokiji and the Naval Battleship," the other shouted, jumping into the hole and chasing after her into the distance.
"She escaped from Cecilia."
Aokiji's expression darkened as he hung up the Transponder Snail, rubbing his temples and sighing, "This is becoming more and more troublesome."
"How could she escape?"
Vivi looked at Aokiji and said, "Didn't you send people to capture her? To ensure she could be caught?"
Aokiji replied, "I did request two agents to infiltrate. They were supposed to capture her simultaneously when I arrived here, but Cecilia discovered them in advance."
"So no one was captured?" Vivi glared at Aokiji.
Aokiji scratched his head and said, "We managed to catch some agents."
"But not a single officer."
Vivi said coldly, "Then what was the point of this operation?"
Aokiji responded, "I've already sent people to Whiskey Peak and several other locations. Besides that, we will issue a Bounty Notice for Heckler, Xiaqiu, and Ace."
"But what if they come back here?" Vivi asked. "Ace's strength is even greater than a Vice Admiral's. Before we find them, you must personally oversee things."
"I'm afraid I can't do that."
Aokiji sighed and said, "Due to my duties, the Admiral of the Navy Headquarters needs to remain at the base. It's difficult to be away for long periods except for occasional departures."
“Then what should we do? To fend off Ace, we need at least one Admiral,” Vivi asked anxiously.
“No need for that.”
Aokiji shook his head. “Dealing with Ace doesn’t necessarily require an Admiral. If Ace has indeed allied with Heckler, I’ll bring someone here.”
At this point, Aokiji looked at Vivi and asked, “I heard you opened a casino.”
“That’s right.”
Vivi nodded and then asked, “What’s on your mind?”
Aokiji smiled. “That’s good enough. I think she won’t mind coming over for a while.”
“Who exactly are you talking about?” Vivi furrowed her brows.
“You’ll find out soon enough,” Aokiji waved his hand dismissively and began walking away. “Let’s head back.”
“How do we get back? The Sea Vessel is frozen,” Vivi hurriedly followed him.
“Ride a bicycle.”
Aokiji walked a bit further, mounted a bicycle, and said, “Get on.”
“Seriously?”
Vivi helplessly climbed onto the back seat as Aokiji pedaled the bicycle toward Alabasta.
Not long after, in a room not far from the Coast, Christmas and Cecilia appeared.
"What exactly happened?" Cecilia asked, puzzled.
"This morning, the president called me. The Navy discovered our presence, and Admiral Aokiji came to ask me to go to Alabasta to find a chance to rescue you," Christmas replied, leaning by the window and gazing into the distance. "By the time I arrived, they had already begun their actions. Fortunately, you are safe."
"I see," Cecilia said, furrowing her brow. "So what should we do next?"
"The president wants us to find a way to leave. I will return to Sakura Kingdom, and you should head to Second Island and wait for the president's return," Christmas explained.
"The Naval Battleship has surrounded Alabasta. How are we supposed to leave?" Cecilia asked curiously.
"Don't worry. They can't completely seal off the Sea Vessels from entering or leaving the port. As long as there is a departing Sea Vessel, I'll get you on board, hide you, and then head to our destination," Christmas assured her.
"Okay," Cecilia nodded, momentarily relieved. However, she remembered something and asked, "What about the president?"
"They will be leaving temporarily."
"Surely they wouldn't fight against the General, right? Hahaha."
...
Four hours later.
Xiaqiu swam slowly through the sea when a fish appeared not far away. He immediately dashed toward it.
Xiaqiu bit down hard, killing the fish, and then began to devour it eagerly.
Just after finishing the fish, a signal was transmitted back from the Surface of the Sea.
Boom.
Xiaqiu quickly surfaced, looking into the distance.
"Puff, puff, puff."
The engine's fire grew weaker, and the boat traced an arc beside Xiaqiu before coming to a slow stop.
"President." Heckler sighed in relief upon seeing Xiaqiu safe.
"Ace, Heckler, are you both unharmed?" Xiaqiu asked the two of them.
"We had your arrangements in place."
Ace replied, then added with admiration, "But Aokiji's strength is truly impressive."
In this battle, Ace realized the gap between himself and the general. Once the opponent went all out, his only option was to flee.
"That's right," Xiaqiu nodded. "That's why I didn't make a move and just escaped from there. It seems our preparations were insufficient."
"What about next?" Ace asked curiously. "Where do we go from here?"
"First, we need to go somewhere else to draw attention away," Xiaqiu replied. "Then we can sneak back."
Ace inquired again, "Where are we going?"
Xiaqiu looked into the distance and said lightly, "I have a good place in mind; he should be along this route. Let's go see if we can find it."
