Chapter 149: Weak
"I never expected that the princess of Alabasta Kingdom would be a member of an underground organization," Kaku said, his expression wary as he looked at the woman before him. "Aren't you afraid of being exposed and dragging Alabasta down with you?"
"Actually, I am no different from you in terms of being an enemy."
Vivi sighed and replied, "But I am not in control of my own fate, especially now that I have been exposed to you."
"Not in control of your own fate?"
Kaku's voice softened as he said, "As long as you don't obstruct me, I promise not to report your situation. If you kill him, you can gain your freedom."
"Do you not understand the crux of the problem?"
Vivi stared at Kaku and said, "You cannot kill him. If he decides to act, you won't be able to escape."
Kaku planned to use Soru to flee; his speed was impressive, and before entering the water, Xiaqiu wouldn't be able to catch up.
However, he couldn't use Moon Step across the sea and would likely be submerged before long.
In the water, he wouldn't be able to use Soru, and his strength would be halved. How could he possibly evade a giant beast's pursuit?
So Kaku was undoubtedly doomed.
If Vivi truly intended to do something, it would spell disaster for all of Alabasta.
"So."
Vivi said coldly, "I can't let you leave."
As her words fell, her left hand, which had been behind her back, suddenly threw out a Tornado.
Whoosh.
A Tornado instantly expanded, enveloping the surrounding space, and the wind grew stronger.
"What is this?"
Kaku saw the Sandstorm taking shape and dared not linger; he took a step and vanished from sight.
"Trying to run?"
Vivi snorted coldly, and her entire body exploded into massive Sand Blades, slicing in all directions.
Just as Kaku was about to leap past Vivi, a Sand Blade came rushing toward him.
"Iron Body."
Kaku dared not confront it; his body suddenly hardened as the Sand Blade struck him, tearing through his clothes and landing heavily on him.
Sizzle.
The Sand Blade could not break through his defenses, but it restricted his movements.
At that moment, in the distance, the Tornado expanded, enveloping Kaku within its grasp. The winds grew stronger, causing the ground to crack, while the sand within the sandstorm sliced at Kaku's body.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Vivi regained her form. With her left hand reaching out toward Kaku, her other hand continued to gather energy for the Sandstorm.
"I can't let her touch me."
Kaku saw Vivi's outstretched hand and realized that she could withstand the Sandstorm, yet she still attacked.
This meant that the attack posed a significant threat to her.
In an instant, Kaku released her Iron Body and used a shave technique to retreat into the distance, narrowly avoiding Vivi's grasp. However, in that brief moment, her clothes were torn apart, and the Sand Blade within the Sandstorm merely grazed her skin, leaving behind several cuts.
Storm Leg.
Kaku immediately executed Storm Leg, shattering several Sand Blades, but more were on their way.
"Paper Drawing."
Sensing the airflow, Kaku's body suddenly felt light as she moved with the currents.
The Sand Blades spun with the wind, allowing Kaku to evade them before they could strike.
As she flowed with the air currents, Kaku maneuvered toward the outer edge of the Tornado.
In that moment, Vivi's other hand once again unleashed a Sandstorm, which transformed into a Tornado, blocking Kaku's path forward.
Then, Vivi's legs morphed into Sandstorm as she lunged toward Kaku, soaring into the air in an instant, her hands swinging out.
Two Sand Blades struck toward Kaku's figure.
Clang.
At the moment of impact, Kaku transformed into Iron Body and landed firmly on the ground.
The Sand Blades collided with him, achieving nothing, and the force of the sandstorm could not harm him in the slightest.
Vivi charged directly at Kaku, her right hand pressing against his head.
As long as your body has water, I can drain the moisture from you and turn you into a Dry Corpse.
But at that moment, Kaku's right hand suddenly flickered and vanished from sight. He used Paper Drawing to enter the airflow, evading Vivi and the sand's assault.
Vivi lunged at Kaku once more. Kaku used Shave to disappear and evade her attack. In that instant, Sand Blades came rushing from both sides. He immediately switched to Paper Drawing to dodge the Sandstorm.
However, since he could only evade along the airflow and there were numerous Sand Blades within the Sandstorm, he found himself trapped inside, unable to escape.
Vivi's speed was relatively slower, restricting his movements but unable to touch him at all.
Fast speed, high defense, and agile dodging.
He told himself that the opponent was fast, so he had prepared in advance and attempted to ambush them.
Yet even so, he still couldn't keep up with their movements.
The powerful fruit, his own weakness.
This made Vivi acutely aware of her shortcomings, and as time passed, her stamina rapidly depleted, causing her speed to diminish further.
At that moment, Kaku approached the edge of the sandstorm, lifted his legs, and executed two Wave Slashes, cutting through two Sand Blades before lunging forward.
Thud. Thud.
Two slender Sand Blades pierced through his body, leaving a scar on his back while also slicing a gash in his left arm. Nevertheless, he emerged outside the Sandstorm, stumbling as he landed.
Vivi had already lunged at him, her right hand transforming into a blade aimed at his head.
Kaku quickly pushed off with his toes and leaped away to evade the strike, landing softly afterward.
However, at the moment of landing, a massive Tentacle came rushing toward him.
How is this possible?
Kaku immediately activated Iron Body, trying to brace himself against the Tentacle.
Bang.
The tentacles slammed into him with tremendous force, sending his body reeling backward as he spat out a mouthful of blood in midair.
"What immense power."
Kaku was somewhat taken aback; he hadn't expected such overwhelming strength, and more importantly, the hardness was astonishing.
It felt less like being struck by a tentacle and more like being hit by a massive iron rod.
Combined with that incredible power, there was simply no way to withstand it.
He flew backward, trying to stabilize himself, but behind him, Vivi was already lunging forward, her left hand wielding a Sand Blade aimed at his head.
Feeling the rush of wind behind him, Kaku immediately ducked down and curled into a ball.
Bang.
Kaku collided with Vivi, but instead of the expected transformation into sand, he encountered something solid.
Hmm?
Hadn't had time to change?
Why?
What was special about this collision?
In that moment, Kaku suddenly turned and pointed, directly stabbing the area on his back that was in contact with Vivi.
With a soft thud, Kaku's finger pierced through Vivi's abdomen, entering her body.
But the next instant, a tentacle lashed out at him once again.
"Not good."
Kaku tried to dodge, but his body suddenly sank as he felt Vivi grip his arm, preventing him from escaping.
Iron Body.
At the critical moment, Kaku activated Iron Body.
Bang.
The tentacle struck Kaku's legs with a crunching sound, shattering both of them as he collapsed to the ground.
Die.
Vivi's right hand came down, pressing against Kaku's head. He was still using Iron Body, but it didn't mean he had truly turned to iron; there was still blood and moisture within him.
Gabura was the only one who could move while in Iron Body state, utilizing the flow of blood within his veins.
The outermost skin cells of the human body are filled with numerous capillaries and moisture.
With a sudden thud, under Vivi's ability, Kaku transformed into a Dry Corpse and collapsed to the ground.
"Finally killed him," Vivi said as she slumped down, blood pouring from her abdomen. She clutched her stomach, her face pale.
