Chapter Ten: Underwater Battle 0

In the depths of the ocean, the massive figure of Xiaqiu began its counterattack. 0

It swung its tail, twisting its body, enduring the pain coursing through it, and opened its enormous jaws wide, turning to bite at the man on its back. 0

But in that instant, as Xiaqiu turned, the man reacted just in time. He suddenly slid his body down along Xiaqiu's form and rolled away. 0

He evaded Xiaqiu's attack, pressing tightly against its body, and thrust his harpoon fiercely. 0

This is bad. 0

In that moment of turning, sensing the change in water pressure, Xiaqiu noticed his movement. 0

Xiaqiu immediately closed its mouth and spun its body, twisting violently. 0

Bang. 0

The harpoon struck Xiaqiu's body, but with its rotation, the immense force sent the harpoon flying away from its smooth scales. 0

Even so, the sharp tip of the harpoon had pried up some of Xiaqiu's scales, leaving a trail of blood. 0

It hurt. 0

Xiaqiu was injured again; pain surged through it, but instead of retreating, it became even more ferocious. 0

Xiaqiu turned to bite at its opponent again, but Colonel Belial held onto the harpoon and circled around Xiaqiu's body to evade the attack. 0

Damn it. 0

Xiaqiu's own body was too long. 0

The six-meter-long body relied on its own form, using the currents created by its movement to dodge sideways. 0

After evading, Colonel Belial's Harpoon struck again. 0

Thud. 0

This time, Colonel Belial's Harpoon pierced through Xiaqiu's body, sinking deep inside. 0

Ah! 0

Xiaqiu let out a cry of pain, twisting its body, while Belial firmly pressed down on the Harpoon. With each movement from Xiaqiu, a trail of blood was carved into its flesh. 0

Damn it. 0

Xiaqiu was in excruciating pain and filled with rage, wanting to retaliate. However, Belial circled around Xiaqiu's form, continuously launching attacks. 0

Each strike left more bloody marks on Xiaqiu's skin. 0

The pain only fueled Xiaqiu's anger further, but a hint of fear also crept into its heart. 0

What should I do? 0

At that moment, Xiaqiu realized something crucial. 0

The reason it dared to leap into the sea to attack was because it was confident it could defeat itself; at the very least, it wouldn't fear sea creatures of equal size. 0

And indeed, that was the case. 0

Its strength could break through its own scale protection. Although its speed was slower, it could entangle itself by taking advantage of its own stagnation. 0

His timing in attacking was exceptionally precise, relying on his agility to dodge and strike from the side. 0

He had extensive experience, often suppressing himself in battle and injuring himself in the process. 0

In just half a minute, he had left several bloody marks on his own body. 0

So how should he respond to him? 0

What advantage did he have over a fish of the same size? 0

Xiaqiu suddenly realized that he was fundamentally not a fish; he was not driven by desire. Just like earlier, he had easily seen through their bait and traps, evading subsequent attacks. 0

If it were any other fish, they would likely have been killed by now. 0

His strength lay in the human soul—his observational skills, his ability to think, and his capacity to respond. 0

More importantly, it was his opponent's misconception that he was merely a fish. 0

These were his true strengths. 0

Xiaqiu knew he could not afford to be angry; he had to remain calm and carefully consider his strategy. 0

Although he was at a disadvantage, his opponent could not kill him. Such injuries would only serve to wound him for three or five minutes at most. 0

But could his opponent last three minutes? 0

In the water, under continuous exertion, oxygen consumption would increase significantly. 0

Even in the world of One Piece, where physical strength had extreme limits, he still needed to breathe. 0

Xiaqiu did not believe he could wear himself out to death. 0

Then he would definitely change his tactics after the entanglement. 0

He would attack his vital points, trying to kill him in one blow. 0

Thinking of this, several countermeasures already formed in Xiaqiu's mind. 0

Boom. 0

Xiaqiu twisted his body again, opening his massive jaws to bite at Belio. 0

But Belio immediately submerged into the water, twisting along Xiaqiu's body and evading the bite. 0

Coming to Xiaqiu's side, Belio raised the harpoon in his hand and aimed it at Xiaqiu's body, thrusting it fiercely. 0

But in that instant, Xiaqiu suddenly twisted his body in the opposite direction. 0

Belio did not take it seriously; his head was still turned the other way. He twisted his body but could not reach Xiaqiu, merely struggling without purpose. 0

However, with Xiaqiu's movement, the enormous pectoral fin struck hard against Belio. 0

"Hmm?" 0

Belio paused slightly, instinctively raising his left arm to block in front of him. 0

Bang. 0

After a muffled sound, Belio felt as if he had been hit by a shield. 0

Such immense power. 0

Belio's movement faltered, unable to comprehend that a fish could use its Pectoral Fin to strike a person. 0

In that instant, Xiaqiu swayed its body and surged forward, its tail whipping fiercely as it moved ahead. 0

Belio intended to pursue Xiaqiu but felt the water pressure rushing toward him and quickly raised his arms to shield himself. 0

Boom. 0

The tremendous force slammed into Belio, pushing his body sideways by several feet, his arms vibrating with numbness. 0

Yet he was unharmed. 0

This level of strength was not enough to injure him. 0

However, Xiaqiu had already darted away, creating distance between them. 0

"Has it escaped?" 0

Seeing this scene, Belio's expression turned somewhat regretful as he tightened his grip on the Harpoon, intending to swim toward the Water Surface. 0

At that moment, Xiaqiu circled in the water and swiftly headed for the Surface of the Sea. 0

"What is it trying to do?" 0

Belio was puzzled, but in an instant, Xiaqiu reached a position near the Surface of the Sea, blocking Belio's path. Its head dipped low, staring intently at him. 0

Belio attempted to swim upward but found himself obstructed by Xiaqiu. 0

Blocked. 0

Belio's expression darkened as he did not expect the opponent to be so clever, directly obstructing him at the Surface of the Sea. 0

He moved left and right, but the creature shadowed him closely, lingering near the Surface of the Sea, always keeping its head aimed at him. 0

Belio slightly ascended, and the Black Fish opened its massive jaws, its menacing teeth directed at him. 0

"This is meant to force me to exhaust my oxygen underwater." 0

Belio's face grew grim; he had been submerged for a long time and was nearing his limit. 0

If he didn't ascend soon, the depletion of oxygen would cause his physical strength to plummet, and ultimately, he would suffocate underwater without even needing an attack from it. 0

There was no time to waste. 0

Gritting his teeth, Belio gripped his Harpoon and charged toward the Black Fish. 0

Seeing Belio rush in, Xiaqiu opened its gaping maw and lunged at him. 0

Belio kicked off against the water current, tilting his body to evade Xiaqiu's jaws. 0

Success. 0

As long as he dodged the first strike, he could close in and wait for an opportunity to attack or even surface above the Water Surface. 0

But in the next moment, Xiaqiu continued its advance, slightly angling its body as its enormous Pectoral Fin swung toward Belio. 0

Bang. 0

The Pectoral Fin struck Belio's left arm, causing his body to shift sideways. 0

In that instant, Xiaqiu continued swimming forward, its tail swinging back to strike at Belio. 0

Bang. 0

Belio was hit directly, releasing a stream of bubbles as his strength faded. 0

However, he held his breath and seized the opportunity, kicking off with his legs toward the Water Surface. 0

Splash. 0

Just as Belio burst through the Water Surface, Xiaqiu had already turned around and clamped onto his leg. 0

Crunch. 0

The sharp teeth closed down, and his leg vanished in an instant, blood gushing out. 0

"Ah!" 0

Belio let out a roar, gripping the Harpoon tightly and stabbing downward with all his might. 0

Clang. 0

The Harpoon pierced Xiaqiu's forehead, but at that point, there was a massive bulge on its head. 0

Starting from a meter long, Xiaqiu's forehead began to swell, gradually becoming enormous, now resembling a round mound. 0

Belio's Harpoon merely broke through the surface layer before being stopped by bone. 0

Then Xiaqiu continued to bite, swallowing Belio's thigh along with his waist and abdomen into her mouth. 0

"Don't, don't, save me!" 0

Belio felt his waist being enveloped and shouted loudly. 0

But in the next moment, sharp teeth closed together. 0

Crunch. 0

Everything below Belio's waist vanished, entering Xiaqiu's belly. 0

Splash. 0

Blood spread in the seawater as Belio's body stiffened. 0

However, the hunt was not over. Xiaqiu devoured Belio's waist and continued to gnaw; with two more bites, she swallowed his upper body whole. 0

When Belio's head was crushed and the sound of splintering bones echoed, as brain matter flowed out and spread across her tongue, Xiaqiu paused slightly. 0

She had eaten him. 0

She had actually eaten a person. 0

Once human herself, Xiaqiu felt a wave of discomfort wash over her, accompanied by a sense of guilt. 0

But it was only for a moment; her gaze turned fierce. 0

I am no longer human; I am a fish. 0

"You want to kill me? How could I just sit here and wait for death?" 0

"You've injured me, so I'll crush you and swallow you whole." 0

Xiaqiu let out a cold snort, baring its fearsome teeth, then swayed its body and swam away into the distance. 0

In that moment, arrows and water guns splashed into the water, striking Xiaqiu. 0

Puff puff puff. 0

The arrows hit Xiaqiu but were deflected by its scales. Occasionally, one would land a hit, but it couldn't penetrate the thick muscles. 0

For now, it was impossible to kill you. 0

Xiaqiu thought as it slowly descended, planning to swim further away from the seabed. 0

... 0

"It's been a long time; Colonel Belial is still underwater." 0

On the ship, a sailor stared down at the white shadow below, which appeared so small against the backdrop of the enormous dark figure. 0

"Don't worry; Colonel Belial has the upper hand." 0

Though reluctant to admit it, Krum knew that Belio was incredibly powerful. He had once hunted a tiger shark that was seven or eight meters long, showcasing immense combat strength. 0

Once entangled by Belio, that black fish would have no chance of escape. 0

The blood was proof of that. 0

But at that moment, Black Fish suddenly separated from White Shadow. 0

"We need to run!" Sailor shouted loudly. 0

However, in the instant they broke apart, Black Fish swam back toward the Water Surface, blocking Belio's path. 0

"What is this?" Krumey squinted his eyes, realizing Black Fish's intention to obstruct Belio. 0

What a clever fish. 0

Belio had already been underwater for nearly a minute; if this continued, he would not be able to hold on much longer. 0

"Captain, should we help Colonel Belial?" one of the Sailors looked at Krumey and raised his crossbow. 0

"No need," Krumey replied, narrowing his eyes and shaking his head. "You all tried just now; our crossbows and spear guns cannot harm him at all. Let's wait and trust Colonel Belial." 0

"Understood." 0

The Sailor lowered his weapon and waited quietly. 0

Before long, Belio burst out of the Water Surface. The group of Sailors showed expressions of joy but then gasped in pain. 0

"Colonel!" a Sailor shouted, raising his spear gun and aiming downward. 0

The other Sailors also drew their crossbows. 0

"What are you doing?" 0

Krumay pressed down on the Sailor's Spear Gun and shouted, "Colonel Belial is above! What if we hit him?" 0

Krumay's words made them hesitate. 0

But the next moment, Belio was dragged into the water by the Black Fish, devoured completely. 0

Seeing this scene, Krumay secretly laughed but shouted loudly, "Colonel Belial has been killed by the Black Fish! Attack, avenge him!" 0

With Krumay's words, the crossbows were fired into the water, hitting the Black Fish. 0

However, the Black Fish showed no signs of injury and leisurely swam away. 0

As the Black Fish drifted further away, Krumay's expression turned sorrowful. "Colonel Belial has been killed by the Black Fish." 0
