In that quiet hall, a distant and fearful voice began to intermittently sound. The voice carried deep despair, each call seemed to be struggling against something. 0

"Save... save me..." 0

Three people followed the faint sound, step by step. With each step, the sound of their heartbeat became clearer. Kevin, with a sense of leadership, walked in the front. His gaze was firm, but the sweat on his hands revealed his inner tension. 0

As the sound grew closer, Kevin signaled for Mary and Alan to stop. He tilted his ear, confirming the direction of the sound. "That person... should be just around the next corner," he said cautiously. "Everyone, be prepared. We don't know what we might encounter, but we must help him." 0

Alan and Mary nodded tightly, indicating their understanding. The breath of the three of them was suppressed to a very subtle level. 0

As they slowly turned around the corner, a shocking scene presented itself before their eyes. In that narrow dead-end alley, a tall humanoid figure was curled up in the corner, his body trembling from time to time as if experiencing immense pain. His face was obscured by shadows, only revealing a pair of dull eyes. The sounds of fear and despair were emanating from his mouth. 0

Mary couldn't help but cover her mouth, and Alan's eyes also showed alertness. Kevin took a deep breath and carefully approached the figure, trying to find out the trouble he was in and figuring out a way to rescue him. 0

In the quiet dead-end alley, Kevin slowly and cautiously walked up behind the person. The light in the alley flickered, and each time it lit up, it made the person's figure even more distorted and peculiar. Mary and Alan felt the oppressive atmosphere and nervously held each other's hands, their eyes fixed on Kevin's back. 0

Kevin gestured to them, signaling them not to come closer. He wanted to establish contact with this person alone. He whispered, "Hi, I'm Kevin. Do you need any help?" 0

The sobbing, which had been as long as a stream, suddenly stopped, plunging the entire alley into an eerie silence. Only the distant sound of the wind whistled in their ears, accompanied by the three people's rapid and nervous breathing. 0

Kevin felt the eerie atmosphere and gradually got goosebumps on his back. Despite the unspoken unease in his heart, he still decided to reach out and try to establish some kind of connection with the person. As his fingers were about to touch the person's back, the person's body suddenly shook as if being shocked. 0

Then, the person began to repeat that phrase frantically, with a deep and ominous tone: "Eat, eat, eat, eat, eat..." The sound echoed in the narrow alley, interweaving with the wind, creating a chilling melody. 0

Kevin's heartbeat accelerated rapidly, and he felt a fear like never before. He quickly took a few steps back, almost stumbling. As the figure began to move, each of his steps felt heavy, as if causing an earthquake, and produced a deep echo. Every time his foot landed, it made Kevin and the others' hearts tighten once again. 0

The mysterious figure leaned against the wall and slowly stood up. From his shadow, Kevin could sense that he was tall and muscular, at least two hundred and fifty centimeters in height. 0

Just as Kevin had not yet reacted, the monster began to undergo abnormal changes. His human skin began to peel off like old wall paint, falling off in small pieces. Soon, this skin began to slide off like flowing water, revealing the skin underneath. It was a layer of light yellow, tough, and rough skin. The surface of this skin had many tiny protrusions, each resembling an octopus tentacle, with suction cups on them. 0

The sliding of that piece of skin was like a prelude to death, slow and relentless. Every inch of movement was telling the world about a fear that did not belong to humans. When it finally completely fell off the body of that terrifying creature, it was like a rotten leaf falling in the cold winter wind, carrying a sense of desolation and sadness. It quietly spread out on the ground, and that deep red blood seemed more like a symbol of warning, reflecting the sparse light in the narrow alley, as if every drop was warning that there was an existence here beyond human understanding. 0

Mary's throat emitted a faint breath, but in the silence of the moment, it seemed particularly loud. Her gaze was vacant, her eyes widened, as if she had seen the end of the world, filled with fear. And Alan, the boy who had always been as cool as ice, now had an expression of fear that he had never shown before. His eyes, originally as clear as a summer lake, had now become cloudy, filled with unease and despair. 0

The most chilling thing was its two sunken white eyes. Those eyes had no pupils, no soul, only a bottomless void. And from its twisted mouth, there came a constant low growl of "so hungry, so hungry, so hungry," a sound that seemed to come from the depths of hell, impossible to ignore, impossible to forget. 0

Kevin Suddenly understood, this was not just hunger, but a longing for life, a yearning for fresh skin. He knew that if they didn't escape, soon they would become the next target of that creature. 0

Kevin Sensing the approach of death, he knew deeply that this kind of fear was indescribable in words. Without waiting for him to think again, he immediately shouted, "Run!" His voice was full of the power of despair and warning, it was a deadly intuition. 0

Three of them seemed to be awakened by Kevin's extremely nervous voice, instantly breaking free from the fear. Without hesitation, they turned and ran wildly towards the depths of the alley behind them. The sound of their shoes hitting the ground echoed in the empty alley, as if every step was telling them that death was rapidly approaching. 0

Mary, being the smallest of the three, although her pace was fast, always seemed to be a half-beat slower than the other two. Her tears were scattered by the wind, and in her eyes, besides fear, there was also a hint of reluctance and pleading. 0

Alan always maintained his composure, despite knowing how ironic it was to stay calm in this situation. With every step he took, his glasses would slip slightly due to the trembling, but he had no time to pay attention to that. He just wanted to protect himself and his friend. 0

They passed through alleys and turned several corners, hoping each time to shake off the creature. However, every time they thought they were safe, the low growl from the creature let them know that it was still closely pursuing them. 0

The alley seems to have no end, with dim lights casting mottled shadows on the ground, making the escape route even more difficult. 0
