Ye Xiaohan wanted to leave as well, but Lu Bei was busy preparing herbs for her, leaving her no chance to escape.
Watching him with that stern expression made Ye Xiaohan angry. She had been injured, yet he dared to treat her like this. Feeling unbalanced inside, she couldn't help but speak out, "Hey, Lu Bei! If you have something to say, just say it. What’s with that long face?"
"Do you have any idea how dangerous it is? One wrong move and your life could be gone!"
This time, Lu Bei didn’t hold back his voice; he shouted it out. Even Ye Xiaohan, who was usually bold, was taken aback and stared at him in silence.
The atmosphere became tense as neither of them spoke. Lu Bei paced back and forth in front of Ye Xiaohan with his hands behind his back, sighing repeatedly.
After being yelled at, Ye Xiaohan took a while to process what had happened. When she finally came to terms with the awkward situation before her, she found it hard to speak.

The sound of a growling stomach broke the silence. Lu Bei paused for a moment, looking apologetically at Ye Xiaohan.

Standing at a distance, she observed him, but to her surprise, the Butcher Master noticed her and flashed a sly grin. "Oh, look who dares to come back! You must be so impressed by my dashing looks that you want to flirt with me. Let me tell you, even if you stripped down and offered me money, I wouldn’t be interested."
Ye Xiaohan shot him a glare and turned away, walking over to a nearby Noodle Stand where she sat down.
"Boss, I'll have a bowl of noodles!" she called out.
"Not selling!" came the curt reply.
The two words hit her like a brick wall, leaving Ye Xiaohan momentarily stunned. Turning to the elderly woman running the Noodle Stand, she asked in confusion, "Auntie, why won't you sell me any? Is it because you're out of noodles?"
Seeing the old woman's displeased expression, Ye Xiaohan thought she was being refused because the woman assumed she had no money. To prove otherwise, she pulled out her coins; the sign at the Noodle Stand indicated that a bowl cost ten coins.
To her shock, the old woman swept the coins onto the ground and snapped angrily, "Get lost! I won't sell noodles to someone as shameless as you. The Lu Family Brothers have treated you well, yet you still dare to come out here flirting around. I bet that money is stolen!"
Ye Xiaohan felt a surge of anger at being treated this way. Taking a deep breath and recalling the past misdeeds of her former self, she sighed and bent down to pick up the coins. She placed them gently on the table and softened her tone. "Auntie, please don’t misunderstand. This money is from Brother Lu; he sent me out to buy some noodles. That Butcher Master hurt me yesterday—why would I be interested in him?"
Her reasoning was sound and her attitude respectful. It made the Noodle Stand owner start to doubt the rumors she had heard about Ye Xiaohan. With a slight pout and a change of heart, she took the money and prepared a bowl of noodles for her.
Finally able to enjoy some warm food, Ye Xiaohan felt her stomach settle comfortably.
At that moment, the Noodle Stand was empty, and the aunt, feeling bored, sat down in front of Ye Xiaohan and chattered, "Don't blame me; blame yourself for being so foolish. The Lu Family's big brother has done so much for you, yet you repay him like this..."
