You Were Born a Nobleman, Chapter 34: How Many Good Godfathers Do You Have?
Kong Xuan smiled lightly, like the first bloom of spring flowers, but his eyes were as cold as the ice of a harsh winter: “Mei Xiao, I didn’t know you had such affection for Po Jun. Shu Que Wu Pan, take me to see him.”
Siren no longer dared to refuse. The stone door opened, revealing a large tiger with colorful stripes and a white forehead lying on the ground, seemingly in a deep sleep.
Lang Ye moved swiftly like lightning, leaping lightly to grip the tiger's neck with his claws. Siren shouted anxiously, “Don’t hurt him.”
Lang Ye loosened his grip slightly, his wolf-like eyes gazing at Siren: “You can’t possibly have a crush on Po Jun, can you?”
Siren fluttered her eyelashes seductively, neither confirming nor denying, simply displaying her charm coyly.
Lang Ye let out a light scoff and raised his claws to scratch the tiger's back a few times. When he lifted them, his sharp claws were stained with tiger fur and blood, even having some strands of flesh.
Siren was horrified. She trembled and stood in front of the tiger, her purple eyes wide open as if they might burst from their sockets.
Lang Ye licked the blood off his claws and turned to Kong Xuan: “It’s the scent of that guy Po Jun. He’s fine; there’s no poison in his blood.”
Only then did Siren realize that Lang Ye was checking the reason for Po Jun's unconsciousness. However, this method was too brutal. Were they really good brothers who had fought side by side?
Siren, you’re out of touch; good brothers aren’t meant for love but for betrayal!
Kong Xuan approached and kicked the sturdy body of the tiger with his toes, coldly saying, "You won't die, just lie here." He turned to Siren and said, "How did you manage to bring those beasts here? Send them back. From now on, you are responsible for managing the ferocious beasts in this mountain. If anyone dares to steal again, I will hold you accountable."
Siren hurriedly bowed and said, "Ming Wang, I am too weak to manage those beasts, especially with Horse Abdomen around."
"The descendant of the Nine-Tailed Fox from Xuanyuan Tomb has a natural charm and intelligence; there is nothing you cannot accomplish. If you keep talking nonsense, you'll be lying here with Po Jun today."
Kong Xuan's face was as cold as frost, a mix of threats and intimidation. The little fox trembled like a sieve and shakily took out a tattered bag tied with grass rope.
"Ming Wang, the livestock is here; please take it away."
Lang Ye was taken aback. "Cosmic Bag? Mei Xiao, what skills you have! You managed to get something from the people of Tianchi."
Mei Xiao's fox eyes sparkled with charm as she sweetly said, "He is my Godfather."
Lang Ye asked, "How many good Godfathers do you have? Isn't it Sea Dragon King?"
Mei Xiao quickly raised her front paw. "Not many, just thirty."
Lang Ye's eyes twitched as he grabbed Mei Xiao's paw and pressed down on two of her fingers. "Look closely; this is three. Silly fox."
Mei Xiao's fox face flushed (which was not easy to see), and she playfully pouted, "Oh come on, that's not important! Three is just one less than five!"
Lang Ye bumped his head against Kong Xuan's thigh. What kind of fox spirit is this? Besides men, what else can she do?
Kong Xuan kicked Lang Ye aside, and Lang Ye rolled over, grabbing a pearl in his paw. With his claws numb, it was inconvenient for him, but if he could take a few more pearls home to make a pearl flower for Softy, that would be nice.
Kong Xuan had long noticed Lang Ye's little action and cursed him for being useless. He turned to Mei Xiao and said, "There are quite a few jewels in this cave."
Mei Xiao quickly replied, "I have always loved shiny things; they were all given to me by the Godfathers."
Kong Xuan smirked, "What a coincidence, Lang Ye also loves shiny things. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a Foster Mother. Why don't you give him some?"
