"This is for later."
Summer Forest had just finished gathering the last piece of Game Meat when he noticed Xia Muxin's actions. A warm smile spread across his face as he cheerfully replied, "Alright!"
"Wife, you clean these mushrooms up. We'll head to Town first. Iron Tree, don't tire yourself too much; take a break when needed." Before stepping out, Summer Forest called back into the house.
Aunt Xia was washing dishes. In a good mood these past few days and well-fed, her eyesight had improved enough for her to see some things vaguely. Upon hearing Summer Forest's words, she quickly placed the dishes in a corner of the stove, covered them with a cloth, wiped her hands on her clothes a few times, and stepped outside, only to see the father and daughter slowly walking away.
She called out, "Be careful on the road and come back early."

Xia Muxin smirked, tossed aside the branch in her hand, and took several strides forward to stand alongside Summer Forest. She didn't shout at the Wu Family; instead, she coldly said, "Oh, my father's surname is Xia, and your children’s surname is Zhou. What does my Game Meat have to do with you? Why didn’t you think about it when the family split? My father is the eldest son of the Xia Family and should rightfully receive the most. Now you come crying, showing no filial piety. Not only are you shameless, but your skin is thicker than tree bark. I doubt there’s another like you in Tianli Kingdom."
In her memories, she had been oppressed by the Wu Family for years, nearly falling victim to their schemes multiple times for money. At this moment, seeing their smug faces made her feel insulted just by looking at them.
Moreover, today she was no longer afraid of them. If they wanted to fight or curse, she would gladly engage.
"Look at this little vixen! Just a few days apart and she's become so fierce. No wonder; you were born without a mother to teach you. Even if you married a wife, she's just a clueless fool. How could she possibly teach her children?"
The Wu Family trembled with rage. After suppressing Summer Forest's family for so many years, they were now being scolded by someone they had always looked down upon. The fire in their chest surged, and their words became even more venomous.
