He Jun stared at Zhang Qiu and asked, "What kind of special training?"
"Fighting is not a problem; I know martial arts. Just teach me some reconnaissance skills, and I also want to learn how to shoot."
"Shooting isn't necessary. I can arrange for someone to teach you reconnaissance skills."
"No way," Zhang Qiu insisted. "I must learn how to shoot."
"Alright then."

"Thank you."
"What are you thanking me for? I really have no way to deal with you. I'm hanging up now, going to buy stocks for you."
After the call ended, Zhang Qiu stood there dazedly holding his phone, when his sister interrupted him and asked, "Are you still buying stocks?"
"Ah?"
Zhang Qiu had been so engrossed in the phone call that he momentarily forgot his sister was right next to him, and she had heard everything he said. Teddy was restlessly tugging at the leash on the ground, while his sister stood still, staring at Zhang Qiu without moving an inch.
"What is your relationship with White Day Fire? Isn't that a bar? How can you use money from there to buy stocks? What exactly are you doing?"
A barrage of questions came from his sister towards Zhang Qiu, but he didn't know where to start, or rather, he didn't know how to explain it to her. However, looking at her expression, it was clear she was determined to know.
His sister spoke again: "Zhang Qiu, are you hiding something from me? That's not good between us. Our relationship is so close; there's nothing you can't tell your sister. Right?"

"But what? There's no 'but' here. Just tell me already."
"Alright," Zhang Qiu sighed, "I'll tell you."
"Alright, hurry up."
"I found a part-time job at White Day Fire."
"Huh, how can you make money from a part-time job to buy stocks?" The sister scoffed, clearly dissatisfied with Zhang Qiu's explanation.
"I'm not done yet! I really did find a part-time job. It was a coincidence; one of my ideas was adopted by the Boss. The Boss is usually busy, and since I'm close to White Day Fire, managing this job fell on me. I saw an opportunity to make some money, so I thought I could take advantage of it once to buy stocks and earn some cash. After graduation, I can travel too."
The sister was mostly satisfied with this explanation, but she still felt it was too strange. Zhang Qiu must be hiding something from her. With a smile, she continued to ask, "So what's this about going abroad to seek revenge? Do you have enemies overseas?"
Zhang Qiu couldn't help but admire her keen observation skills; being the daughter of a police officer, she would be wasting her talents if she didn't pursue a career in law enforcement. But Zhang Qiu wasn't one to back down easily and quickly came up with a reasonable explanation.
"The enemy has nothing to do with me; it's someone who has a grudge against White Day Fire. That person caused trouble and even hurt someone before running off to the United States. Once we make some money, they can go catch him and bring him back."
"Zhang Qiu, don't lie to me."
"Come on, sis, why would I lie to you? Besides, my uncle is a police officer. Do you think I'd get involved in any bad stuff?"
After thinking for a moment, the sister found Zhang Qiu's reasoning plausible and laughed, "Alright then, I won't ask anymore. Let's take Teddy for a walk."
Grandma's house wasn't far from the First High School; after leaving the district, they arrived at the foot of the ancient city. As Zhang Qiu looked at the ancient city, memories flooded back. Her uncle had once taken both her and her sister up there to overlook the First High School. Back then, there were no iron fences; they could directly enter the schoolyard from the ancient city. Without realizing it, Zhang Qiu said, "Let's go up to the ancient city."
The sister readily agreed and led Teddy alongside Zhang Qiu up the ancient city. The ancient city stood about four or five meters high and had been excavated with a sloped path and several steps leading up. At one edge was an arched entrance half-buried in dirt; it used to be an entry point but had now become a dumping ground.
The somewhat flattened area of the ancient city only had a dirt path left, surrounded by nearby residents' cultivated fields filled with spinach, radishes, eggplants, peppers, and other vegetables. A large tree that one person couldn't wrap their arms around completely shaded them from the scorching sun, creating a tranquil atmosphere. After walking about one or two hundred meters, they reached a brick wall that used to have a hole allowing passage but had been blocked by the First High School to prevent students from skipping class. Despite this, some students still managed to break through in their attempts to escape class. Zhang Qiu and her sister passed through to the other side of the brick wall.
This side was rarely visited; both sides of the path were lined with trees and weeds up to their knees. As they walked forward, the road twisted until they reached a steep incline. Teddy happily dashed up the slope while Zhang Qiu and her sister followed closely behind. From here, they could already see the gymnasium and playground of the First High School below; the narrow path below was where Zhang Qiu had secretly seen Director Zhao and called Yang Yu.
The playground was completely empty, but in the distance outside the cafeteria, a few figures could be seen, though it was unclear whether they were students or teachers. Further ahead was a place all too familiar; the Ancient City Battle had taken place here. Since that last battle, Zhang Qiu had not returned. Now, stepping onto this land again, Zhang Qiu felt a mix of emotions. This land was soaked with their sweat and blood; it was here that the Hall Society's growth was established.
"What's wrong?"
His sister asked when she noticed Zhang Qiu suddenly standing there in a daze.
"Nothing, nothing," Zhang Qiu replied with a smile, his gaze drifting to the gentle slope where he had hidden his ambush troops back then. The entrance to the Ancient City was right there, now sealed with a rusty iron door, through which only darkness could be seen.
"Sis," Zhang Qiu pointed at the entrance of the Ancient City, "have you ever been inside?"
"Nope, it's been sealed off for a long time. According to Dad, there used to be a murderer who kidnapped someone and killed them here; it took a long time before the body was discovered."
Zhang Qiu chuckled and sighed, "It's quite a pity that I've been so close to the Ancient City yet never stepped inside."
"What's so regrettable about that? I don't want to go in; people have died inside, there might be ghosts!" His sister shook her head vigorously. The thought of ghosts made her feel unsafe even standing outside, and she grabbed Zhang Qiu's arm. "Let's hurry and leave; the more I look at this place, the creepier it feels."
Zhang Qiu laughed lightly. "It's just shaded from sunlight here, of course it feels eerie. Alright, I'll follow your lead; let's get out of here."
Listening to his sister, they took Teddy and left the Ancient City through a shortcut. Zhang Qiu glanced back at the somewhat dilapidated Ancient City and made a decision in his heart. If many things weren't done now, perhaps there would never be another chance in the future. He must visit the interior of the Ancient City at least once!
