The team quickly arranged themselves with their existing tacit understanding, like an elite squad that had undergone countless battles, every movement appearing extremely skilled and precise. Alixia slowly adjusted her star spear to the optimal position, while Karenmu gently pushed her shield forward, ready to charge at any moment. Taktron was quickly adjusting his equipment in the rear, ensuring everything was ready. This was a carefully planned ambush, where every move needed to be precise, because they knew that in this underground city, every corner could hold unknown dangers.
John aimed his gun with determination, and Alixia did the same, her star spear aimed at another target. In silent communication, the two almost simultaneously pulled the trigger, and incredibly precise bullets and energy beams intersected in the air, directly hitting the two rat-like creatures whose alertness had not fully risen. In an instant, the creatures' heads were struck with precision, the immense force causing them to almost instantly fall to the ground, leaving only a pool of blood and convulsing bodies.
Taktron immediately pointed to a swaying wooden bridge ahead and said urgently, "Hurry! This bridge!" Although the bridge looked narrow and worn, it was their only current passage. The swaying bridge spanned between two giant rocks, with a bottomless abyss below. Any misstep could mean falling into the endless darkness.
Karenmu hesitated briefly but ultimately raised the shield and walked ahead firmly to ensure the safety of the path. John followed closely, while Alixia and Taktron cautiously followed behind. Despite the bridge's swaying and creaking, the four of them walked with exceptional determination, each step firm and powerful.
