"A group of Two-Headed Lizards running so eagerly, are they here to seek death?" On the road close to the mountain peak, seven men dressed uniformly and exuding an imposing aura stood tall. Among them, a relatively slender man suddenly scoffed, his gaze disdainfully fixed on a group of Two-Headed Lizards flying towards them.
Each of the seven possessed an extraordinary demeanor, their external energy swirling around them, and their eyes shining brightly. Particularly striking was the middle-aged man standing at the forefront, who carried a Broad Sword on his back. His calm expression and robust physique combined with his steady and reserved aura gave off an imposing presence.
"Simba, don't be careless. Although we have the Seven Star Formation for offense and defense, the number of Two-Headed Lizards is considerable. If we also factor in that King Beast, one misstep could lead to casualties. It's better to be cautious," said a refined and handsome man among the seven, smiling as he spoke to the slender man. In his right palm floated seven brilliantly colored circular array plates. The roars of the Two-Headed Lizards mixed with the sound of flapping wings drew closer, and a strong stench made all seven frown. A dark-skinned man with a shaved head took out a Long-Range Detector to scan the surroundings while the refined man shouted a command, tossing the seven circular array plates into the air, causing even more rays of light to burst forth.
With a crackling sound as if electricity surged, the seven circular array plates suddenly dispersed rapidly, seemingly possessing intelligence as they hovered above each man's head. Rays of light cascaded down from the spinning plates like waterfalls enveloping the seven men. Simultaneously, forty-nine strands of light condensed and intertwined around them, forming an array that deepened their connection.
Weapons were drawn with a whoosh, their cold edges glinting sharply. The combat experience of the seven was evidently rich; they organized themselves seamlessly into a defensive formation as soon as the middle-aged man's command was given.
"Boss, there are no signs of anyone else nearby," came a deep voice from Heita as he lowered his Long-Range Detector and reported honestly.
"There shouldn't be any issues. We set up so many Shadow Crystals on our way here; no one can evade our sight on this mountaintop unless they were already hiding here," suddenly interjected a Scarred Man wielding twin daggers. As he spoke, he clashed his daggers together while fixating on an approaching Two-Headed Lizard with a fierce grin before charging forward.
"What are they hiding for? This place is exposed; do they want to find a scenic spot to take a dump?"
Amidst laughter, another man followed closely behind and leaped high into the air, delivering a thunderous punch filled with surging energy. As his body flashed with rays of light from the array plates humming in response to his attack, an Intermediate Level Two-Headed Lizard was struck hard enough to create a large hole in its body before it fell to the ground with a wail.
A thunderous echo reverberated as thick mist enveloping the mountaintop violently swirled. The cries of Two-Headed Lizards rang out piercingly; in just one encounter, only three of the seven had attacked but managed to tear open a gap from within a swarm of Two-Headed Lizards. Following this path, they rushed deeper into the mountain with overwhelming force.
"What a strong group!" Inside a cave, Bu's expression grew serious. Just from this brief observation, he had recognized how formidable these seven were. Perhaps it was due to their Seven Star Formation factor, but undeniably at this moment, their strength posed a significant threat to him.
Noticing Bu's expression, Eve understood how dire things were outside and couldn't help but chuckle lightly: "If you're scared, we can just hide in here and not go out. You know that with their Seven Star Formation's attack amplification—even without mentioning Byron himself—the six trusted aides accompanying him up the mountain are at an absolute Intermediate Level 4 peak. "Women's intuition!" Eve smirked, a hint of mystery in her smile as she gazed at Bu with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Wow!" Bu laughed dismissively, too lazy to engage with this overly self-assured woman.
At that moment, a sudden roar of a beast echoed through the air. The instant the roar erupted, the color of the ground changed, and all the mist atop Yin Mountain swirled violently. The earth trembled fiercely, and the anger and overwhelming power contained within the roar made Bu Xin, who was in the cave, feel a momentary lapse in his heartbeat, unable to suppress his change in expression.
"The Two-Headed Lizard King Beast!" Eve exclaimed softly, her beautiful eyes flashing with shock as her delicate body trembled slightly.
"With such might, are you sure this Two-Headed Lizard King Beast is only at Intermediate Level 5?" Bu questioned as he spoke, Hong Lian opened her eyes from meditation. The malevolent energy within her seemed to stir restlessly due to the beast's roar from outside.
"Damn it! Boss, this Two-Headed Lizard King Beast's strength doesn't match the intel we've received," not only did Bu have doubts, but even Byron and his seven companions, who were rushing towards the Two-Headed Lizard's cave, gradually slowed their pace. Their offensive surged wildly as they unleashed two hundred percent of their strength. A toxic mist poured from their gaping mouths and corroded the ground while polluting the air. The seven members of Byron felt an overwhelming increase in pressure.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
A suffocating pressure swept across the area. Amidst the terrifying sound of wings slicing through the air, a vast shadow suddenly covered the ground where Byron and his companions stood.
The nearly twenty-zhang tall Two-Headed Lizard King Beast, with its massive body, powerful claws, razor-sharp fangs like steel blades, and a tail that whipped through the air with a thunderous roar reminiscent of a giant python in the forest, struck fear into everyone present as soon as it appeared.
Roar!
The terrifying roar echoed once more, even more horrifying than before. The Two-Headed Lizard King Beast hovered in mid-air, its cold eyes glaring down at the seven people on the ground, who seemed insignificant in comparison. The sound waves of its roar reverberated through the air, transforming into tangible sound waves that carried a strong stench and a terrifying storm akin to a level twelve typhoon, shaking the ground with a Thunderous crash.
The continuous cracking sounds erupted as the ground split like a spider's web. Dust filled the air as boulders the size of carts disintegrated into ash with a loud bang. The entire peak of Yin Mountain trembled under the wrath of this king of Yin Mountain, as if an unprecedented earthquake had been unleashed.
Under the encirclement of the Seven Star Formation, Byron and his six companions struggled to maintain their balance. Only Byron, due to his formidable strength, managed to stay calm while the other Six People looked horrified, desperately unleashing their internal energy to prevent being blown away by the terrifying sound waves.
"Boss, what should we do?" As the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast prepared to dive down, Scarred Man, wielding dual blades, could no longer suppress his fear and let out a panicked scream.
Byron snorted coldly; his eyes seemed to crackle with lightning. He stomped hard on the ground and shot into the air like a cannonball. His Broad Sword flew into his hand like a raging dragon emerging from its lair. A tremendous aura erupted from within him, creating a distorted space that enveloped the diving and roaring Two-Headed Lizard King Beast.
"Stick to the original plan. Simba, you go quickly to retrieve the White Bone Ghost Lotus; we'll hold these beasts off."
The roar in the air intensified as Byron engaged in fierce combat with the Two-Headed Lizard King Beast. His steady voice rang out again, rekindling everyone's courage.
