In the dead of night, when all was quiet, Mu Xi was swiftly making his way toward the palace. He arrived at a side door he knew well, glanced around, and listened carefully to the surroundings before quickly raising his hand to knock on the door.
It was clear that his knock was a signal. He lightly tapped twice, then knocked heavily once, followed by three gentle taps. The door immediately swung open from the inside.
A very young eunuch opened the door. Upon seeing Mu Xi outside, he hurriedly said, "Deputy Gate Master, please come in."
After hearing this, Mu Xi nodded lightly and quickly entered.
Once inside, Mu Xi headed straight for a corner room while the young eunuch remained by the side door.
Upon entering the room, he approached a flower diagram hanging in the center. He gently pressed behind the flower diagram, causing it to slide aside automatically, revealing a hidden door behind it.
Without hesitation, he stepped through the hidden door, which closed automatically five seconds after he entered. As soon as the door shut, the flower diagram returned to its original position.
After entering the hidden passage, Mu Xi walked for a while until he reached a corner. As he turned the corner, the dim passageway was suddenly illuminated with bright lights. However, there were numerous other dark passages branching off.
Yet he did not even glance at those passages and continued walking straight ahead.
As he reached the end of the straight dark passage, he found himself in front of a larger stone door.
However, beside the stone door was a small indentation that held a Stone Sphere. He slowly took out the Stone Sphere, placed it on the ground, and stepped on it forcefully a few times. The stone door then began to open slowly.
He picked up the Stone Sphere from the ground and walked through the dark door.
Once through the door, he placed the Stone Sphere into a small recess next to the stone door, and as soon as it entered, the stone door closed immediately.
After taking a few more steps forward, he came upon a Small Wooden Door.
Standing in front of the Small Wooden Door, he gently opened it and stepped inside.
Upon entering, he saw His Majesty Dongfang Hao reclining on the Dragon Throne with his eyes closed, resting.
Indeed, he had arrived at Dongfang Hao's chamber—the Dragon Blossom Palace.
Seeing Dongfang Hao resting with his eyes shut, he chose not to disturb his Senior Brother. He knew that there was no need to wake him; the Senior Brother would awaken on his own soon enough.
His guess was correct. Just as Mu Xi sat down at the wooden table in the center of the room, Dongfang Hao opened his eyes and quickly got up to sit beside Mu Xi.
Without even glancing at Mu Xi, His Majesty Dongfang Hao said directly, "Did you not just leave? Why are you back so soon?"
Hearing this question, Mu Xi tilted his head slightly to look at him and replied slowly, "The Little Doll has been identified, but I cannot be certain it is her."
Dongfang Hao's interest was piqued upon hearing Mu Xi mention that they had discovered the identity of the Little Doll. He immediately asked, "Oh, who do you mean by 'her'?"
"It is Lo An Lord's daughter," Mu Xi answered calmly.
Dongfang Hao tilted his head slightly, pondering for a moment before raising an eyebrow and saying, "He has two daughters. The elder daughter is named Luo Caidie, and she is already around fourteen or fifteen years old, so it can't be her. His little girl is named Luo Cai Feng, and she seems to be nearly ten! It shouldn't be her either! That Little Doll looks to be only five or six years old. Are you sure you haven't made a mistake?"
"The two you mentioned are the daughters of the Luo family known to outsiders, but Lo An Lord has another daughter that no one knows about, and she is only five or six years old. Her appearance is quite similar to the portrait you showed me."
At this point, he paused slightly, glancing at Dongfang Hao beside him before continuing, "However, what I found out is that this Little Doll is a Doom Bringer; she caused her mother’s death right after birth. At that time, Lo An Lord happened to be stationed in Yang City, so she was left alone in the royal residence, living a life worse than those servants in Prince Luo's Residence, often bullied by her sisters and brothers. Upon hearing this, Dongfang Hao furrowed his brows tightly but remained silent. He seemed to be quietly contemplating, sorting through his thoughts in his mind.
Seeing that Senior Brother was lost in thought and had not spoken, Mu Xi also chose to remain silent.
The room fell into a deep silence.
Suddenly, Mu Xi thought of an answer that could unravel this mystery: the Little Doll had been pretending all along in Prince Luo's Residence.
After coming to this conclusion, he spoke up to Your Majesty Dongfang Hao and said, "Could it be possible that the Little Doll has always been acting in Prince Luo's Residence, and what outsiders see is merely a facade she deliberately puts on?"
He paused for a moment before slowly adding, "If that's true, then that Little Doll is truly terrifying. Such deep scheming at such a young age."
"Impossible. That Little Doll is extremely arrogant; she doesn't even regard Royal Relatives and isn't afraid of me as the emperor at all. The other day on the street, Consort Shu's younger sister Lan Ruohan said a few words to her and ended up getting beaten into a pulp. The Little Doll even claimed that it was out of consideration for me that she spared Lan Ruohan's life." As he spoke, his gaze sharpened as he looked at Mu Xi beside him.
Mu Xi listened to him with confusion and asked, "But why does she resemble the portrait you gave me so closely? How do we explain that?"
"Anyway, I don't think that Little Doll is someone who would endure silently," Dongfang Hao stated his conclusion directly.
"Should I investigate further?" As soon as he said this, something occurred to him.
He quickly asked, "By the way, I remember when you just ascended the throne; I think I heard you mention that you had spies in Prince Luo's Residence? Why not call them into the palace for questioning?"
After hearing Mu Xi's words, Dongfang Hao furrowed his brows slightly and said slowly, "No, right now Lo An Lord is in Prince Luo's Residence. Suddenly summoning them to the palace without reason would raise his suspicions."
At this point, he tilted his head and pondered for a moment before continuing, "Forget it, I’ll find a time in the next couple of days to visit Prince Luo's Residence and see if that little girl is indeed the same little doll I encountered on the street."
Upon hearing his words, Mu Xi tilted his head slightly to glance at him and gently nodded in agreement with his suggestion.
Seeing Mu Xi nodding in approval of his idea, Dongfang Hao looked at him and asked, "What about the beauty that Hao Tian sent over?"
"Her? She's been quite well-behaved lately and hasn't made any moves," Mu Xi replied lightly.
After listening to him, Dongfang Hao said calmly, "We need to keep someone watching her closely. That Ouyang Chen from Hao Tian is a very ambitious person!"
"I know, I'll keep an eye on it," Mu Xi assured.
Dongfang Hao nodded slightly after hearing his response and said, "Ouyang Chen is trying every means to send that beauty to me; he just wants to place a spy by my side to gather information through her!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Mu Xi chuckled and said, "Haha! But little does he know that while the higher one climbs, the stronger the magic becomes. Senior Brother, you don’t even let those concubines in your harem come close to you; how could you possibly be interested in the beauty he specially sent?"
At this point, he stood up to pour himself a cup of tea. After drinking it, he continued, "It seems that they have completely believed your pretense of being fond of beauties."
After hearing his teasing, Dongfang Hao stood up and said, "It's getting late; you should leave quickly!"
As he spoke, he made his way toward his comfortable Dragon Throne.
Mu Xi shook his head slowly and said, "Senior Brother! Why are you always like this with me? I haven't even finished my tea yet, and you're rushing me out. After all, I've worked hard for you all day! Moreover, I handle those beauties in your harem every night!"
"What's this? Starting to complain again? Have you forgotten how you promised Master back then?" Dongfang Hao directly reminded him after hearing his complaints.

The Small Wooden Door closed automatically right after he left.
Dongfang Hao, sitting beside the Dragon Throne, couldn't help but smile lightly as he watched Mu Xi depart. He silently expressed his gratitude to Mu Xi in his heart, saying, "Thank you, Junior Brother!"
However, the most genuine words in his heart were naturally unheard by Mu Xi. If that guy had heard them, he would surely think his senior brother had lost his mind or that the sun had suddenly risen from the west.
He would never believe that his senior brother, who spent all day ordering him around with a cold heart, would actually say thank you.
After leaving the palace through a secret passage, Mu Xi immediately used his Lightness Skill to fly towards their Asura Gate base in Silver City.
But halfway there, he suddenly felt curious about visiting the Little Girl at Prince Luo's Residence.
So he quickly changed direction towards Prince Luo's Residence. However, after walking for a short while, thoughts of his Senior Brother popped into his mind.
He shivered at the thought of how his Senior Brother would react if he knew that Mu Xi had disobeyed him and gone to visit Prince Luo's Residence instead of returning to Asura Gate. Without hesitation, he turned around and swiftly flew back to the Asura Gate base.
