Luo Bingbing saw that the Snow Spirit Fox was unwilling to eat the fruit and kept indicating that she should eat the Red Fruit instead, so she decided to comply. She held the small fruit in her hand, looked around, and felt it was just an ordinary wild fruit, nothing special about it. She thought to herself: well, I shouldn't waste this little one's effort.
Thus, she took the bright red fruit to the edge of the pool outside the cave, washed it in the water, and then put it in her mouth. As she chewed slowly, she found it tasted no different from other fruits—sweet and sour, quite pleasant. After finishing the fruit, she began to walk back to the cave, planning to invite the Snow Spirit Fox to join her for a soak in the hot spring.
However, after taking just a few steps, she felt weak all over and experienced pain throughout her body. The deep-seated pain made it hard for her to cope, so she slowly crouched down. But as soon as she did, the pain inside her only intensified. Therefore, she had no choice but to grit her teeth and forcefully circulate her Inner Strength to activate her Ability, hoping to alleviate the pain and heal her body. Gradually, the pain lessened, and she quickly returned to the room in the cave, sitting on the bed while setting up an invisible barrier beside her. She began using her Ability to check on her internal condition. Through her Ability's detection, she discovered a swirling mass of silvery-white energy within her body, which was responsible for her unbearable pain.
Realizing that this silvery-white energy was causing her distress, Luo Bingbing immediately activated a strong Ability to disperse it and expel it from her body. She believed that her Ability was sufficiently powerful and that it would soon be expelled. However, after a long time, the energy remained unmoved within her. Confused by this situation, she pushed her Ability level to its maximum to see if this White Level Ability could drive out the silvery-white energy.
To her disappointment, the energy still did not budge. So she began studying this energy closely. She found that whenever she withdrew her Ability surrounding it, the energy would start moving erratically; however, as long as there was Ability around it, it would remain still and not collide with her body. Seeing this situation, she had no choice but to seal this silvery-white energy within herself using her Ability.
After sealing the energy inside her body and feeling that everything was fine again, she pondered what this energy could be since even a White Level Ability couldn't disperse it. She reflected on everything she had encountered throughout the day and all the people she had met; everything else seemed fine except for the Red Fruit brought back by the Snow Spirit Fox.
With this doubt in mind, she thought that the fruit was not an ordinary wild fruit at all; if it were just an ordinary wild fruit, the Snow Spirit Fox wouldn't have brought it back or insisted that she eat it. Luo Bingbing became certain that this silvery-white energy was formed from that Red Fruit. As for what exactly this energy was, she didn't know yet; however, although she wasn't clear about its nature, she understood that if she could harness this energy for herself, it would be greatly beneficial. With this realization, Luo Bingbing waved her hand to dissolve the barrier around her.
As soon as the barrier was lifted, the Snow Spirit Fox rushed toward Luo Bingbing but suddenly stopped just before reaching her. It stood across from Luo Bingbing with a pitiful look in its eyes, filled with extreme anxiety and fear.
Seeing the Snow Spirit Fox's sorrowful gaze and its anxious demeanor made Luo Bingbing realize that this little creature seemed aware of having done something wrong. She felt worried for it but also sensed its fear of punishment; that's why it halted midway and dared not approach further. She knew that this Snow Spirit Fox would not harm her; whatever it found was not an ordinary item—it simply didn't understand that such a small wild fruit could cause her so much pain.
While the Snow Spirit Fox was unsure how to earn Luo Bingbing's forgiveness, Luo Bingbing had already walked over to its side and gently crouched down to pick it up. As soon as she finished speaking, Shadowless appeared at the cave entrance holding a plate of roasted meat.
Seeing Shadowless bring dinner, Luo Bingbing set the Snow Spirit Fox down and nodded lightly at Shadowless, signaling him to bring the roasted meat inside and place it on the table. Since this place was desolate and Shadowless had only brought those assassins here for temporary training, they hadn’t brought any pots or bowls. She understood that while the little fox had resolved its inner conflict, some lingering shadows remained in its heart, which is why it continued to stay obediently and carefully on her shoulder.
Unable to help herself, she gently patted the little fox's head and said softly, "Little one, I'm fine now, aren't I? Besides, you didn't mean to cause any harm! Now, as a reward for your precious fruit, go ahead and take a bath while I head into the woods to catch some game for you."
After hearing Luo Bingbing's words, the Snow Spirit Fox looked at her with a mix of understanding and confusion. It didn't grasp everything she said, but it clearly understood the words "treasure" and "roast meat." So after listening to her, it wagged its tail excitedly to show its happiness.
Luo Bingbing affectionately stroked its cute little body before gently placing it on the ground, signaling it to jump into the hot spring for a bath. The Snow Spirit Fox quickly leaped toward the spring and jumped into the warm water. Seeing that the Snow Spirit Fox had jumped in, Luo Bingbing turned and walked toward the nearby forest to prepare for hunting.
Once in the hot spring, the Snow Spirit Fox began to frolic and play in the water, occasionally surfacing and then diving back under. After playing enough and feeling tired, it floated calmly on the surface of the water.
Suddenly, it recalled that during their previous visits to this hot spring, Luo Bingbing had asked it to dive down to find a certain fiery red treasure grass.
