The sun slowly rose from the east, its brilliant rays illuminating the world.
The small trees on the mountain grew taller in the sunlight; the seedlings in the fields became greener because of it; the sunlight shimmered on the river's surface, making it look like a long piece of satin.
On the mountain path, Luo Bingbing and Shadowless galloped forward, hurrying toward the next town and their destination.
Shadowless's steed, a Blood-Sweat Horse, had recovered from its poison, allowing it to run swiftly. Since both of their horses were capable of traveling a thousand miles a day, their speed was quite impressive.
At noon, the sun was directly overhead, and the heat was intense, causing pedestrians to seek shelter. Luo Bingbing and Shadowless arrived at the center of a small town.
The town was not large but had everything one could need. As they rode slowly through the streets, taking in the array of goods on either side and listening to the vendors calling out, Little One on the white horse couldn't help but furrow her brow slightly.
Although surrounded by the bustling street, Luo Bingbing felt somewhat displeased but chose not to quicken their pace amidst the chaos. Instead, they exercised extraordinary patience and walked slowly with the flow of people.
Suddenly, it seemed that the crowd ahead had come to a standstill, as if something significant had occurred. A throng of people surrounded an intersection, blocking it completely and preventing those behind from moving forward, including Luo Bingbing and Shadowless.
Seeing this situation, both Luo Bingbing and Shadowless frowned. They attempted to turn back but found themselves in a similarly crowded area behind them. Being mounted on tall horses made it difficult for them to even turn around. Thus, they had no choice but to wait on horseback for the crowd ahead to disperse.
From their elevated position on horseback, Luo Bingbing and Shadowless could see further than ordinary people and clearly observe what was happening within the tightly packed crowd.
They saw a middle-aged man with a round face and big ears, his waist as thick as two barrels combined, looking quite bloated and unattractive. He appeared to be in his twenties and was grabbing onto a young woman's clothing, attempting to force her to return with him as his twenty-ninth concubine.
The young woman looked about fourteen or fifteen years old. She held a somewhat worn vegetable basket in her left hand and wore an old azure skirt with several barely noticeable patches. Luo Bingbing immediately recognized that she was the daughter of a poor family, while he had no idea who this rotund man was.
As Luo Bingbing pondered who this round-faced man might be, the crowd provided an answer.
A middle-aged woman turned to another nearby woman and said, "Oh no! It's blocked up ahead again; I wonder when it will clear!"
The other woman quickly replied, "It must be that scoundrel from Li Yuanwai's family causing trouble again by harassing and robbing women in broad daylight. Our lives are already hard enough as common folks; that heartless scoundrel just adds insult to injury. Sigh, how are we supposed to live like this?"
The first woman nodded repeatedly in agreement. After nodding, she looked around before saying to her companion, "Don't say too much; if that scoundrel hears us, we'll be in trouble."
The second woman fell silent but kept nodding in agreement.
From their conversation, Luo Bingbing learned that this round-faced man was the son of a local landlord known for his misdeeds and lack of morals.
Luo Bingbing raised an eyebrow, silently thinking to herself, "Fatty, I don't have time to waste with you here, nor am I obligated to watch you flirt. Since you dare to block my way, you must pay the price."
The Little One on the white horse couldn't help but smirk, revealing a mischievous smile.
Calmly channeling her Inner Strength, she activated her Wind Ability and effortlessly drew a small knife from a nearby vendor's stall, sending it straight toward the calf of the overweight middle-aged man. The result was predictable; the Fatty who had been harassing women was struck in the leg by the knife sent by Luo Bingbing's Ability, causing him to roll on the ground in pain, crying out for help.
The onlookers gasped as they witnessed the scoundrel from the Li family suddenly get injured, and they scattered like startled birds and beasts.
After a while, the crowd that had been tightly packed began to disperse, leaving only the two main characters and the Fatty's servant behind.
Seeing that the path ahead was clear, those who had been blocked hurried forward. The Fatty on the ground continued to wail while instructing his servant to search around for whoever had dared to attack him.
The servants, emboldened by their master's words, quickly began to search the vicinity in an attempt to find the culprit who had harmed their young master.
As the crowd saw the overweight scoundrel injured and his servants searching for the attacker, they hastened their departure even more; no one wanted to get involved in this trouble.
In an instant, what had been a crowded street became deserted. Even the vendors along the roadside quickly packed up and fled; some timid ones didn't even bother collecting their goods before hiding away.
Soon, only the Fatty and his entourage remained on the empty street, along with a Young Woman carrying a basket and Luo Bingbing on her horse with Shadowless by her side.
Luo Bingbing and Shadowless continued their leisurely ride without being affected in the slightest by the commotion caused by the Fatty.
With all other pedestrians gone and only Luo Bingbing and Shadowless casually walking along, the painfully injured Fatty quickly deduced that they were responsible for his injury. Realizing this, he ordered his servants to capture Luo Bingbing and Shadowless.
Upon receiving their master's command, the servants rushed toward Luo Bingbing and surrounded her and Shadowless. Seeing this situation, Luo Bingbing raised an eyebrow and said lightly, "So, you want to keep us here?"
One of the servants who was used to following Fatty's orders quickly replied, "Who told you to hurt our young master? So just behave and stay put! Otherwise, you'll suffer for it later, and we’d rather not have to get our hands dirty."
"Just you lot? You think you can keep us here?" Luo Bingbing scoffed dismissively.
Hearing her words infuriated the servants; they charged at Luo Bingbing in anger. They thought that since she was just a Little Doll of about five or six years old who knew nothing, she would be easy to capture.
However, Luo Bingbing paid no mind to their thoughts or intentions. With a slight smile at the corner of her mouth, she sat leisurely on the Back of the Horse, completely disregarding these Dog Servants.
As those servants noticed that Luo Bingbing wasn't trying to escape despite their approach, they thought to themselves: This Little Girl is indeed easy prey!
But just as they had run a few steps closer—about three or four meters away from Luo Bingbing—Shadowless made his move. Using his Lightness Skill, he swiftly floated in front of Luo Bingbing and casually launched an attack against those arrogant servants.
The few servants who only knew a bit of martial arts became like sick cats in front of Number One Assassin, Shadowless. In just a few moves, Shadowless had piled them up like a heap of people.
The overweight, rotund Fatty was furious upon seeing this situation but felt utterly helpless, resorting to venting his frustrations with words. He cried out in his unpleasant voice, "Damn you, you better watch out! I will not let you go."
Luo Bingbing felt an intense anger rising within her upon hearing his words. She couldn't help but curse inwardly, "Damn Fatty, you really are asking for trouble. I originally didn't want to kill anyone and was willing to spare your life, but here you are running straight into the line of fire as if you want to end your own life. Fine, I will show mercy and send you to meet the King of Hell, so you won't harm others in this world anymore."
Shadowless appeared calm on the surface after hearing Fatty's words, but what he was thinking inside remained unknown. Just as he was about to make his next move, he heard Luo Bingbing's clear and youthful voice beside him.
"Shadow, I want to handle this person myself."
Upon hearing the words from the Little One behind him, Shadowless stepped back and quietly stood aside to watch.
Luo Bingbing glanced at the rotund Fatty across from her and disdainfully said, "Looking like a pig, how do you still have the face to show yourself? Tsk tsk..."
Hearing Luo Bingbing's words made Shadowless smile slightly; meanwhile, the Young Woman carrying a basket burst into laughter. However, the rotund Fatty nearly suffered internal injuries from anger after hearing Luo Bingbing's remarks.
Luo Bingbing paid no mind to their reactions or expressions. Secretly channeling her Inner Strength, she activated her Ability and directly used the Thunderbolt Ability she had recently learned.
After a while, the originally clear sky became overcast with dark clouds, thunder rumbled, and lightning flashed; everyone thought a storm was coming. But only Luo Bingbing knew that it was the lightning she summoned with her Ability that meant Fatty was about to meet his end.
Suddenly, a deafening thunderclap echoed through the sky, accompanied by a powerful flash of lightning. To everyone's horror, that bolt of lightning struck directly at the rotund Fatty. In an instant, he was split in half and turned into two large charred remains that continued to emit thick smoke.
