In an instant, Luo Bingbing returned to her own room, gently changed her clothes, and went to bed to sleep.
Thinking about how she had avenged the Nursemaid, a radiant smile appeared on her face as she slowly drifted into dreams.
While she enjoyed a night of sweet dreams, the Azure Water Pavilion was stirred early in the morning by tumultuous waves and crashing sounds.
The first to wake up, Consort Luo quickly came to her senses and wanted to check on her Beloved Daughter to see if she was alright. However, she couldn't make a sound at all and couldn't call anyone outside to help her wash up. She hadn't dressed properly, and there were many guards outside. She was afraid to go out and call for help, so she could only anxiously wait inside.
The more anxious she became, the less she could think of a solution. As she grew more desperate, time ticked away second by second.
The eastern sky began to lighten with a pale glow, as if announcing that the night had passed and dawn had arrived.
Suddenly, she thought of a compromise: throwing something to create noise and attract the attention of the maid outside. She picked up the teapot from the table and threw it onto the floor. The sound of shattering echoed instantly, but no maid came in.
She felt very strange and puzzled; usually, whenever there was any noise in her room, the maids would rush in immediately. But now, despite the loud crash, no one entered. With no other options left, she decided to throw a vase instead.
After the loud crash of the vase breaking, still no one came in to check.
Suddenly, she remembered what Luo Bingbing had said while she was here and stopped throwing things, sitting on the floor like a deflated balloon in a daze.
What she didn't know was that Luo Bingbing had already removed the invisible barrier in her room; however, the guards and maids outside had been immobilized by Luo Bingbing's spell, unable to speak or move—turned into temporary wooden figures.
Thus, no matter how much noise she made by throwing things, no one came in.
Meanwhile, her Beloved Daughter Luo Cai Feng woke up at dawn. As soon as she opened her eyes, she burst into loud cries that instantly drew in the maid waiting at the door.
As soon as the maid entered, she asked, "Princess, what happened?"
Kelo Cai Feng's hand, which had been injured by Luo Bingbing, was in excruciating pain, making it impossible for her to respond to the maid's questions. Despite the maid asking several times, Kelo only continued to cry loudly. The maid, feeling helpless, quickly sent someone to fetch the princess.
The one sent to summon the princess was also a maid. Upon arriving at the courtyard where the princess resided, she noticed many people standing still like wooden stakes.

She called out to the maid standing at the door, but there was no response. She then called out to the guards nearby, yet they also did not respond.
With no other choice, she mustered her courage and knocked on the princess's door, shouting loudly from outside, "Princess, please open the door! I am a maid from Princess's courtyard. This morning, Princess has been crying continuously. We have been comforting and asking her questions, but she keeps shouting in pain and ignores us. Please come with me to check on her!"
The maid continued to shout at the door, her voice gradually reaching Consort Luo, who was lost in thought in front of a bronze mirror.
Hearing the commotion, Consort Luo quickly got up and walked towards the door. Upon hearing that something had happened to her beloved daughter, she felt extremely anxious and disregarded her appearance as she hurriedly approached the door and pulled it open.
As soon as the door opened, she asked the maid standing at the entrance, "What happened to Princess? What is going on?"
However, her voice came out as a series of "ai ai ai" sounds. The maid could not understand what she was saying and looked at Consort Luo with a puzzled expression.
Seeing that the maid did not answer her question, Consort Luo asked again with the same question. Yet her voice still came out as "ai ai ai," leaving the maid clueless about what she meant. Thus, the maid remained silent.
Consort Luo grew angry and shouted at the maid, "Damn you! Just speak up!" But her voice continued to be nothing but "ai ai ai."
In her anger and anxiety, Consort Luo had forgotten that her vocal cords had been damaged by Luo Bingbing and that she could no longer speak properly.
The maid noticed that the Princess was speaking but could only hear her faint "ah, ah, ah" sounds, making it impossible to understand her words. However, the expression on her face was clear enough. It finally dawned on her that something was wrong with the Princess, so she asked, "Your Highness, what is the matter?"
Upon hearing the maid's question, the Princess remembered that her vocal cords had been damaged by Luo Bingbing, rendering her unable to speak or make any sound. Realizing this, she felt like a deflated balloon and collapsed onto the ground.
Seeing the Princess's reaction, the maid was filled with confusion. She had no idea what she had said to cause such sudden distress in the Princess.
To divert the Princess's attention, she nervously suggested, "Your Highness, let me help you up so you can freshen up. Then we can go see your beloved daughter, shall we?"
When the Princess heard that they would be visiting her beloved daughter, she forced herself to regain her composure. After the maid helped her get ready, they set off to see her beloved daughter.
As they passed through her courtyard, she noticed that the guards and maids were standing frozen in place. In an instant, she realized this was due to Luo Bingbing's sorcery.
Fear began to creep back into her heart. Although she felt terrified, her feet did not falter as she continued forward.
After a while, the Princess saw her beloved daughter, Luo Cai Feng, rolling on the ground and crying out in pain. "It hurts! It hurts! It hurts so much..." Hearing her daughter's agonized cries made the Princess's heart ache. She wished she could skin Luo Bingbing alive for what she had done.
She wanted to rush over and pick up Luo Cai Feng, but before she could even touch her daughter's hand, she heard Luo Cai Feng scream again in pain. Instantly, she realized something was wrong with her beloved daughter's hand and immediately instructed the maid behind her to fetch a doctor.
However, all that came out of her mouth were faint "ah, ah" sounds; the maid had no idea what she was trying to say. After several attempts and seeing that the maid remained motionless beside her, frustration began to rise within her until she noticed the puzzled expressions of those around her.
At that moment, it struck her that she could no longer speak or make any sound—she had become completely mute.
Nevertheless, being accustomed to high status, she quickly regained her composure. She rose and walked over to her writing desk, picked up a brush, and began writing down what she needed to convey. After finishing, she showed the written note to a literate maid and nodded for them to act according to its contents.
When the maid brought the steward into Luo Cai Feng's sitting room as instructed, the Princess used prepared paper and brush to briefly explain what had happened. She instructed the steward to communicate with the doctor treating Luo Cai Feng about her condition and report back to her afterward. Additionally, he was to go to the city gate to welcome Lord Luo back home today and inform him of the current situation in their household as well as Luo Bingbing's actions.
After examining Luo Cai Feng, the doctor turned directly to the steward standing nearby and said, "I’m afraid there’s nothing I can do for Her Highness’s left hand; you should seek a more skilled physician."
The steward quickly pulled the doctor outside and asked, "Doctor, what did you mean by what you just said?"
"It means that Princess's left hand has suffered severe damage. On the surface, it appears normal, with no visible issues, but her meridians have naturally broken into several segments. My medical skills are limited, and I cannot cure Princess's condition. I can only prescribe some calming medicine for her to take first. You should seek a more skilled physician as soon as possible!" The doctor paused and then bowed to the steward, saying, "I must take my leave."
The steward hurriedly instructed the guards at the door to escort the doctor out of the residence and sent someone to fetch the medicine prescribed by the doctor, instructing them to prepare it for Fourth Princess.
He then quickly went to report the doctor's diagnosis to the princess.
Upon hearing the steward's report that the doctor said her Beloved Daughter's left hand was useless, the princess was stunned and fainted immediately.
Seeing the princess collapse, the steward panicked and shouted loudly. Hearing his cries, people rushed in. He quickly called for a maid to go out and summon the doctor to examine the princess, while asking the surrounding maids and attendants to help carry her to her bed.
Just after returning from Prince Luo's Residence to his clinic, the doctor was summoned back to Prince Luo's Residence, but this time it was not for Fourth Princess Luo Cai Feng, but rather for the ruling figure of the princess, Consort Luo.
The doctor took Consort Luo's pulse while she lay in bed, slightly furrowing his brow. After checking her pulse again, he stood up and said to the steward behind him, "Consort Luo fainted due to anger and stress. However, there seems to be some hidden ailment in her throat; it appears fine on the outside, but I cannot determine its cause or how to treat it. You might consider inviting an Imperial Physician from the palace to examine her."
Upon hearing this, the steward hurriedly asked, "Doctor, when will my lady awaken?"
"The princess will wake up shortly. I must take my leave now," the doctor replied calmly. The steward quickly instructed a young servant to go to the Account Room to collect the consultation fee for the doctor and personally escorted him out of the palace gates. Just as he returned to Azure Water Pavilion, he saw a maid running towards him, exclaiming loudly, "Steward! Steward! The princess has woken up and is looking for you!"
