Su Jin'er patted her shoulder and asked, "Then why are you trying to stop us from finding the village?" 0

She shook her head. "I don't know what village you're talking about, but there are some things I still can't say. He will kill you!" 0

"Who is he?" Su Jin'er hurriedly asked. 0

She felt that the "he" mentioned by Li Yiqian must be the mastermind behind everything. 0

"I can't say, and I don't even know who he is. But, Jin'er, I'm begging you, don't investigate any further. That person is ruthless; he's a madman," Li Yiqian said anxiously. 0

"This person is the Killer, right? If you don't want us to be in danger, just tell me," Su Jin'er pressed on. After finally getting a lead, she couldn't let it go. 0

"No, I really don't know. But the person in black that you and Xiaoyuan met might be him. Jin'er, I will turn myself in. Xiaonan is innocent. Actually, I regret killing my sister and Li Ran. I truly regret it; I have nightmares every night, dreaming of him and my sister covered in blood, demanding that I pay for their lives. Now everything is finally coming to an end; I won't suffer anymore." 0

After that, no matter what Su Jin'er asked, Li Yiqian tightly bit her lip and remained silent, only shedding tears. 0

"Qian Qian, thank you. However, I can't bring myself to give up. I can only feel at ease once we catch the Killer," Su Jin'er said earnestly. 0

Li Yiqian still didn't speak, only looking at her with sorrowful eyes. 0

"Qian Qian, I'm sorry. We can only call the police now, so..." Although she was reluctant to believe Li Yiqian's words, she couldn't let Li Yiqian join them in the investigation. 0

"It's okay; I've wanted to turn myself in for a long time. At least this way, my heart will feel a bit lighter," Li Yiqian said with a desolate smile. "You all go ahead! Don't worry about me." 0

Su Jin'er looked at her deeply, unsure of what to say. She could only weakly pat her shoulder and say, "I still don't believe you would kill anyone, so please wait for us. You must wait until we find the real Killer." 0

"Jin'er, I know you're good to me, but everything I'm saying is true. I killed my sister and Li Ran; however, I think I've gone mad! That's why I believed that madman's words." 0

After saying this, Li Yiqian walked away without looking back, her silhouette conveying an indescribable loneliness and despair. 0

"Are we really just going to let her go? What if she does something foolish?" Linyuan said with tears in her eyes. 0

"Let's go! We need to find that person mentioned by Qian Qian as soon as possible; perhaps the answer lies in that village." She was very sad, truly very sad. 0

She glanced at the wall that concealed the mechanism and then found the button on it, pressing it firmly. The door opened again, revealing nothing but darkness inside; nothing could be seen. 0

Chu Feifan shone his flashlight inside and then stepped aside, followed by Zuo Yi. 0

As Su Jin'er passed through, a cool breeze swept into her neck, causing her to shiver involuntarily. 0

"Should we continue together or split up at the five entrances?" Gaya Ze asked while shining the flashlight ahead. 0

"Let's finish this together! We can choose again for the remaining three." Zuo Yi suggested. 0

"I think we might not need to go through this cave anymore," Su Jin'er suddenly said. 0

"Listen closely to the sounds," Chu Feifan added. 0

Just as they were preparing to listen intently, Chu Feifan suddenly huffed. 0

"What’s wrong?" Zuo Yi asked with a frown. 0

When he heard the same sound coming from the other end of the cave, he understood. 0

Linyuan looked at them in confusion: "What riddle are you all trying to solve? It seems like I'm the only one who doesn't understand." 0

"This cave is a fake; we've reached the end," Su Jin'er said with a smile. 0

"How do you know?" 0

"Echo! The cave has an echo, which means there is no exit," Gaya Ze explained. 0

"That could also mean Killer deliberately blocked it, just like the cave next to it," another voice suggested. 0

"That's impossible. To block such a large opening, one person couldn't do it alone. Besides, no matter how clever Killer is, he wouldn't expect us to find the passage so quickly, unless this cave leads directly to the village and the other end is a door," Su Jin'er said, looking in that direction. 0

"Right, that's a possibility. So we should go take a look!" 0

"No need. Think about where we came from and where we're headed," Su Jin'er said thoughtfully. 0

She was becoming increasingly puzzled about Killer's intentions. Why would he go to such lengths to dig so many caves? Unless it was to hide an even greater secret. 0

"It's our school." 0

"Let's go! Otherwise, we'll be trapped here!" Chu Feifan said urgently as if he suddenly realized something. 0

The group quickly ran toward the cave entrance; they had to get out as soon as possible, or Killer would surely block all the exits. 0

They were already close to the location of the five entrances, so when they reached the cave mouth, they were met with a shocking sight. 0

The entrance was already half-collapsed. 0

"Fortunately, we arrived in time," Zuo Yi said, panting heavily. 0

"We shouldn't waste any more time; the sooner we leave here, the better," Chu Feifan said as he was the first to climb over the pile of stones that had partially collapsed. 0

Thud— 0

Just as he got past, they heard a muffled sound. 0

“Chu Feifan…” Su Jin'er called out, but received no response. 0

The group exchanged puzzled glances and turned to look as well. 0

Once they all turned, a bright light suddenly appeared, shining on their faces and making it difficult for them to open their eyes. 0

As their eyes adjusted to the sudden brightness, they finally saw the situation before them. Dozens of people stood in front of them, each holding a bow and arrow, glaring fiercely at them, making the cave that had seemed spacious feel unusually cramped. 0

Chu Feifan lay not far from them, blood still oozing from his head. 0

“Chu Feifan!” Su Jin'er couldn't help but exclaim, rushing forward. 0

“Stop!” an older man said sternly. 0

“You hurt my friend. If he doesn't get treated, he will die,” Su Jin'er said, showing no fear of the man. 0

The man glanced at Chu Feifan on the ground and then gestured behind him. Two people stepped forward and carried Chu Feifan aside for some basic treatment. 0

“Who are you, and why are you here?” the man asked. 0

“We're students from the medical school. We came here to explore and accidentally got lost,” Zuo Yi replied. 0

“Lost?” The man frowned. “You're lying. The direction you came from is a dead end. Where did you really come from? Speak up, or we’ll kill you.” 0

Su Jin'er blinked. She looked at the bows and arrows in their hands; in this lawful society, she didn't believe these people would dare to kill them. However, she still felt a bit intimidated; she lacked confidence that she could convince herself these rough individuals wouldn’t turn them into porcupines with arrows. 0

“We're telling the truth! We found a cave near our school and came in to take a look. We accidentally discovered a mechanism on the wall and ended up here. We mean no harm; please let our friend go!” Su Jin'er tried to persuade the man who seemed to be the leader. 0

The man thought for a moment and then looked at them before saying, “I don't believe you. Capture all of them.” 0

A few people came up and tied them up tightly. 0

Su Jin'er looked at them; these people should be from the Mysterious Village. Although they were captured, at least they no longer had to search for them. 0

"Blindfold them." 0

With their eyes covered, they could only follow along, struggling to navigate as they couldn't see the path. Many stumbled and fell, landing painfully on the ground. 0

"Xiaoyuan, are you okay?" Su Jin'er asked worriedly after hearing Linyuan fall. 0

"I'm fine, just my knees hurt a lot. Now I understand how hard it is to be blind; I will definitely help disabled people in the future." 0

"It seems we weren't captured for nothing!" Zuo Yi said with a smile. Just as he finished speaking, he stepped on a stone and fell to the ground, crying out in pain. 0

"You are not allowed to speak!" a strong man in front shouted loudly. 0

The group exchanged glances and fell silent, carefully moving forward. Fortunately, someone was pushing them along; otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to take a single step. 0

When they finally saw the world again, they found themselves locked in a room. The furnishings were very simple, consisting of only a table and four stools, with a single bed placed in the corner. 0

It seemed there was no electricity here; a candle flickered on the table, casting dim light that made the room feel like a haunted house. 0

"Where is this?" Linyuan rubbed his shoulders and looked around the strange room. 0

"This should be the Mysterious Village we've been searching for," Zuo Yi said. 0

"I think so too. But where is Chu Feifan?" Su Jin'er looked around; they did not see Chu Feifan anywhere. 0

"He should be reuniting with us soon," Gaya Ze said with a smile. 0

Footsteps were heard from outside, followed by the sound of a lock being opened. Then, two people entered, carrying Chu Feifan. Without a word, they placed him on the single bed and walked out of the room, seemingly oblivious to the four people watching them. 0

Once they left, Linyuan said, "Are they made of wood? Why are they silent? They don't even have any expressions." 0

"Maybe they really are wooden figures!" Su Jin'er walked to the bedside, looking at the still unconscious Chu Feifan. His head was already bandaged, with bright red blood seeping through the gauze. 0

Su Jin'er was completely unaware of her concern for him, but Linyuan and the others noticed it clearly and couldn't help but smile. 0

Love often happens unknowingly. 0

"We're not going to be stuck here forever, are we? It seems like they locked us in from the outside and even used chains. What do they think we are?" Zuo Yi said unhappily. 0

"If I had known we would be treated like prisoners, I wouldn't have come," Gaya Ze scratched his head and said. 0

"Stop complaining and start thinking about how to escape!" Linyuan glared at them. 0
